Chapter 1 Forced Marriage

Early morning, Peninsula Hotel penthouse suite

The sky hung low like a gray fog.

A silent burst of light erupted from the horizon, occasionally seeping through the gaps in the curtains; a storm was imminent.

"Ah, let me go!"

"No, don't come any closer, go away!"

"Ahhh, no!"

"Please..."

Standing before the floor-to-ceiling window, a man in a black bathrobe stood tall and imposing, his cold, handsome face sculpted as if by a sharp knife.

His entire body exuded a chilling aura, and his eyes were as deep and dark as an icy pool.

He stared indifferently at the woman muttering incoherently in her nightmares on the bed, unmoved.

The scattered tissues and torn clothes on the carpet were a testament to the madness of the previous night.

After a long while, the woman's long eyelashes trembled slightly, and her brows furrowed slightly.

The man knew she was about to wake up, but a flicker of panic, unnoticed even by himself, flashed in his eyes.

Chu Wuyang slowly woke up and saw the unfamiliar yet luxurious room. She was stunned for a moment, then felt a splitting headache.

Just as I was about to get out of bed to get a drink of water, I lifted the covers and realized I was completely naked.

The pain in her body was a clear reminder of what had happened last night.

His face turned pale instantly.

His body trembled uncontrollably.

"woke up?"

A male voice, still hoarse from waking up, came from the dimly lit corner by the window.

Chu Wuyang sat up, struggling with all her might to keep from screaming.

Her wide eyes met the man's dark eyes.

The familiar figure caused her pupils to contract sharply, her trembling eyes to become bloodshot, and her breathing to become erratic.

She closed her eyes briefly, trying to process what was happening before her.

When I opened my eyes again,

The man walked slowly to the bedside, his dark eyes clear, showing no trace of sleepiness. He leaned down and spoke softly.

"Why are you breathing so loudly? Are you angry? Do you want to kill me?"

Chu Wuyang's fingers, hidden under the blanket, trembled incessantly. She lowered her eyes.

Suddenly, she met the man's gaze; his chest, half-hidden beneath his bathrobe, was covered in scratches.

The anger in his eyes was unbearable.

She grabbed an unidentified ornament from the bedside table and swung it at him, but he reacted quickly and stopped her.

His other hand was also busy, quickly grabbing her.

The two were vastly different in strength, and she could only keep shrinking back.

The man leaned closer, his hot, cedar scent spraying against her ear, sending shivers down her spine.

He concealed an unusual emotion in his eyes.

He stared intently at her, his deep, unfathomable black eyes churning with boundless hatred.

One glance was enough to send chills down your spine.

Chu Wuyang was tightly bound, and all she could do was kick her legs, but the man easily pinned them down.

She was completely unable to move.

He gritted his teeth and shouted loudly in a threatening tone.

"Jingmin, what's wrong with you? How many times have I told you we're over? You're committing a crime, I can sue you!"

The man chuckled dismissively.

"Go ahead and sue. It would be best if everyone knew, which would save me trouble. I've told you so many times to cancel the engagement, have you listened?"

"If you don't listen to me, why should I listen to you?"

Both of them were a little out of breath from the scuffle, and the room was very soundproof.

Perfectly isolated from all the noise outside.

Lightning flashes occasionally streaked silently across the sky, but the room remained completely silent.

For a moment, the atmosphere became strangely ambiguous.

The two were very close; the man leaned forward and touched the tip of her nose with his.

Chu Wuyang immediately turned her head away to avoid it.

His eyes were filled with deep disgust.

He sneered, forcefully turned her head, and kissed her fiercely.

Chu Wuyang resisted with her entire body, keeping her mouth tightly shut and trying to avoid it.

The man impatiently pinched her cheeks with one hand, forcing her to open her lips.

Successfully entered.

Soon, a metallic taste of blood spread between their lips.

Her eyes instantly welled up with tears as she looked into the man's eyes, which seemed to spew black fire.

My whole body was trembling uncontrollably.

The invisible black flames seemed poised to burn everything in sight to ashes...

A torrential downpour began outside the window, and large raindrops occasionally pattered against the glass, silently spreading outwards.

The indoor temperature seemed to rise rapidly.

The large hand that was restraining her also became burning hot, scalding her eyes.

The man's vigorous movements didn't stop for a moment; his passionate kisses moved to her cheek, and the salty tears deeply stung his nerves.

He paused, then looked up to see a single, glistening tear sliding down Chu Wuyang's cheek.

The man seemed to just come to his senses, got up and left.

Until the sound of the bedroom door closing was heard,

Chu Wuyang finally moved his stiff body.

I stood up to go to the bathroom.

But as soon as I lifted my leg, a dull pain shot through my groin.

She endured the pain but hadn't taken two steps when she suddenly collapsed to the ground with a thud.

The door clicked open again.

It was Jing Min who had returned, carrying a glass of water, his expression now back to its usual aloof and indifferent state.

It was as if the malevolent aura surrounding him just now was an illusion.

He slowly bent down to pick her up.

Chu Wuyang looked evasive and wary.

What are you going to do?

Jing Min glanced at her and said calmly.

"I won't touch you. Take a shower, and we'll talk after you're done."

Chu Wuyang, supporting herself on the edge of the bed, stood up and moved with difficulty into the bathroom.

After showering, I changed into the clothes that were already laid out on the sofa.

When she came out of the bedroom, the man was already waiting in the living room.

Having changed her clothes, Chu Wuyang, without looking to the side, was about to push open the door and leave.

"There are media and reporters all outside..."

The man behind him gave a faint reminder

Chu Wuyang opened her eyes wide in disbelief.

"You summoned them, what exactly do you want?"

"Cancel the wedding, and then—marry me."

He sat up slightly and stated his purpose plainly.

Chu Wuyang was amused by his shamelessness.

"You're absolutely crazy! What if I don't?"

Jing Min calmly picked up the water on the table, took a sip, and slowly said...

Why ask a question you already know the answer to?

"Okay, I agree. Make them leave right now."

Chu Wuyang blurted out,

Jingmin paused, his hand still holding the cup, and carefully observed the woman opposite him.

Not missing a single change in the woman's expression.

Agreeing too easily can actually cause problems.

"You're really something! I don't trust you. Sign an agreement."

Don't go too far.

Chu Wuyang glared angrily at the man, gritting her teeth as she spoke.

Even though the man opposite him was sitting, his imposing manner did not diminish in the slightest; in fact, it carried a defiant air of certain victory.

The agreement was finally signed.

Just the day before the originally scheduled wedding date,

Rumors suddenly broke out about a secret hotel rendezvous between the daughter of the wealthy Chu family in Haicheng and the heir of the Jing family.

One stone stirs up a thousand waves...
