Chapter 100 contains hereditary diseases.

Chu Wuyang sat there quietly, listening to Grandma Jiang's story.

His facial expressions kept changing, sometimes shock, sometimes pity.

Her hands clenched unconsciously, and a mix of emotions welled up inside her.

It turns out that Jingmin's family background was so suffocating.

Despite being born into wealth, he never enjoyed a smooth life.

He was abused by his biological mother when he was young.

Having been sent away during his childhood, he could only grow up alone in an unfamiliar place, without any relatives by his side. I wonder if he feels lonely.

During his youth, his family fell into decline, and he returned to an unfamiliar place to live as a dependent, while also shouldering the heavy responsibility of revitalizing his family.

Chu Wuyang frowned, her eyes filled with anger and indignation. She suddenly stood up and said resentfully:

"His biological mother is not something he can choose, so why be so indifferent to a child who doesn't understand anything?"

"How can we just let it fend for itself out there?"

Grandma Jiang frowned slightly, her eyes darting around. She sighed, her tone tinged with helplessness:

"People are selfish. How could I not know that the affairs of the previous generation have nothing to do with a child?"

"But when something happens around you, you can't help but get involved."

"If Ayi hadn't met Jin Lanyue, things wouldn't have turned out this way."

Chu Wuyang's lips curled into a mocking smile, his eyes filled with disdain, and he sneered:

"Old lady, you really are selfish. No wonder your son is the same way."

"Your son finally realized his mistake and knew he was cowardly and not consistent."

"But what about you? You just keep blaming others for influencing your son."

Grandma Jiang remained silent for a moment, then shook her head noncommittally before continuing:

"That's why I'm telling you so much."

“Ayi doesn’t have the courage to face someone who has gone to such an insane degree,”

"And what about you? Do you have the courage?"

Chu Wuyang's heart skipped a beat, and a bad premonition welled up in her heart.

She abruptly raised her head, looked at Old Mrs. Jiang, her eyes filled with doubt and unease, and asked:

"What's the meaning?"

With a calm expression, Old Madam Jiang slowly picked up the teapot, personally poured Chu Wuyang a cup of hot tea, and then stated in a steady and resounding tone:

"Jingmin is sick!"

Chu Wuyang's hand trembled as if she had been electrocuted, her grip on the teacup tightening abruptly, causing a drop of scalding tea to splash onto the back of her hand.

But she seemed not to feel any pain, her eyes filled with terror.

Seeing this, Grandma Jiang silently picked up a handkerchief from the side and handed it to her, chuckling softly.

That smile, however, sent chills down Chu Wuyang's spine.

Grandma Jiang said:

"It seems you've noticed it too."

“Jing Min inherited Jin Lanyue’s mental illness, and he is even more insane than Jin Lanyue.”

Chu Wuyang seemed to be provoked, grabbing a handkerchief and hurriedly wiping away the water stains.

Her face flushed red, and without looking at Old Mrs. Jiang, she retorted loudly:

"nonsense!"

Grandma Jiang's expression turned serious, her eyes fixed on Chu Wuyang, and she slowly said:

"Whether it's nonsense or not, I'm sure you already have your own opinion."

“In the past, I still harbored a glimmer of hope that Jingmin would be more accomplished than his grandfather at such a young age,”

"Although I harbor some resentment towards him, I am still relieved,"

"That's why I prefer Yuebai to be my granddaughter-in-law; it's truly for his own good."

"But you saw Jiang Xu's tragic condition that day very clearly, didn't you?"

Chu Wuyang felt her head buzzing; she heard every single word Grandma Jiang said.

But when put together, her mind was in complete chaos, as if countless noises were echoing in her ears.

It made it impossible for her to concentrate on thinking about its meaning.

Chu Wuyang's body trembled slightly, and her lips were a little pale, but she still tried to remain calm.

With a glimmer of hope in his eyes and a trembling voice, he said to Old Mrs. Jiang:

"If you were really so kind as to tell me all this, then why did you humiliate me like that in the first place? You even let Jiang Xu in and allowed him to do such despicable things."

She paused, as if to encourage herself, her eyes hardening as she tried to comfort Jing Min, raising her voice as she spoke:

"Jiang Xu deserved his fate! It would have been abnormal if Jing Min hadn't done what he did."

At this point, Chu Wuyang slightly raised her chin.

"After all, I am his wife. If someone tries to take advantage of his wife, what's wrong with him teaching that person a lesson?"

Grandma Jiang remained expressionless, her eyes as cold as a bottomless lake.

"Regarding Jiang Xu, he stole the key without my knowledge. I'm in the wrong, and I can apologize to you. Your arrogance isn't a good thing; my intention was to discipline you."

Chu Wuyang's lips curled into a sharp smile after hearing this, but she remained silent.

Then, Mrs. Jiang continued, speaking calmly:

Jiang Xu is dead.

This simple sentence struck Chu Wuyang like a heavy hammer blow, leaving him speechless for a long time.

He seemed to have his soul ripped out, his mouth agape but unable to utter a single word.

Looking at Chu Wuyang's expression, Old Mrs. Jiang remained completely unmoved, and continued:

"Moreover, just like the previous cases, no cause could be found, and the police could only close the case hastily."

Her words were like a cold knife, piercing straight into Chu Wuyang's heart.

Chu Wuyang's face turned deathly pale.
