Chu Wuyang also quickly received a call from Yun Yang.
Yunyang's voice sounded slightly tired but was very crisp, and the content was also very simple.
He informed Chu Wuyang that he had compromised and agreed to her previous demands.
Chu Wuyang recalled Yun Yang's unusual behavior earlier, and doubts arose in his heart.
I couldn't help but ask:
"So what were your concerns before?"
Yun Yang was silent for a moment on the other end of the phone, then said bluntly:
“I’ve been with Jingmin for several years, and no one knows better than me how ruthless he can be.”
“Once he turns against someone, he becomes ruthless and cold-blooded. I am really afraid of his revenge, afraid that I will lose everything I have.”
"Now you are more skillful, and I have nothing left. I have no choice but to agree to your terms."
Hearing Yun Yang's explanation, Chu Wuyang remained skeptical and continued to press for answers:
"Did you have any leverage over Jingmin before?"
Yun Yang paused for a moment, as if trying to calm the turmoil in her heart, and slowly said:
"Because I once saved his life. Shouldn't a life-saving debt be repaid in kind?"
Chu Wuyang had already heard about this from Jing Min, so she wasn't too surprised.
She gave a soft hum and said:
"There's nothing to hide about it, but why were you always so hesitant before?"
Yun Yang on the other end of the phone seemed to have been struck a nerve, remaining silent for a long time.
He managed to utter a single sentence with great difficulty:
"Because when I saved him, he took my innocence..."
Yun Yang's voice was very soft, but to Chu Wuyang it sounded like a heavy hammer blow.
Her eyes suddenly narrowed, and her long eyelashes trembled slightly involuntarily.
His expression began to become somewhat dazed.
It wasn't an accident.
The two were previously a legitimate ex-boyfriend and girlfriend, and it's normal for them to have had a physical relationship.
But for some reason, a strange sense of unease welled up in my heart like a tide.
It made her feel as if something was blocking her chest.
Chu Wuyang remained silent on the other end of the phone.
Yunyang continued:
"Now that I've already agreed, I just hope you won't try to sabotage things further."
"Zhou Chenyi has already helped to clean up the mess regarding the scandal."
"There's also the issue of money. You previously said you were willing to take responsibility for all my losses, and I hope you can keep your word."
"Finally, I'd like to ask, what are your detailed plans for the future?"
Chu Wuyang opened her mouth, but felt as if something was swollen in her throat.
Some cannot make a sound.
She took a deep breath, slowly closed her eyes, and tried to calm herself down.
After a while, he said:
"Wait for my notification. I will contact you when it's time to implement the plan."
After saying that, she didn't want to hear another word and hurriedly hung up the phone.
Under the huge parasol, Jingmin gently closed his laptop, making a crisp sound.
He then slowly got up and walked leisurely toward Chu Wuyang.
He stood tall and straight, each step exuding an innate air of nobility and composure.
"What's wrong? Who called just now?"
His voice was deep and gentle.
Chu Wuyang was lost in her own thoughts when this sudden question abruptly pulled her back to reality.
She glanced at Jing Min with a reproachful look, her brows furrowing slightly, her tone full of dissatisfaction:
"You're being nosy. Do I have to report everything I do to you?"
That look seemed to say, "Don't go too far, I need my own space too."
Jingmin stood in the sunlight, hands in his pockets, smiling radiantly.
He seemed completely unconcerned about Chu Wuyang's attitude.
He simply shook his head at her lively yet slightly temperamental demeanor.
He said with a smile:
"No, I was just concerned."
Chu Wuyang muttered to herself silently to the side, her lips moving slightly, though the exact words were indistinct.
But her expression revealed a hint of dissatisfaction with Jing Min and lingering unease about the phone call.
Seeing her like this, Jingmin's smile widened even further.
Chu Wuyang ignored Jing Min, bent down and picked up a white ball.
Carefully place it in the right position, then swing your golf club high into the air.
Her body shifted slightly with the movement, trying to gather all her strength into this one strike.
However, after the white ball traced an arc in the air,
Unfortunately, she missed the hole and did not land the ball as she had hoped.
Chu Wuyang's face instantly filled with dejection, and her once bright eyes dimmed slightly.
She sighed softly, put down her golf club, and took the juice handed to her by a maid.
After taking a sip, he said defiantly:
"I'm not going to practice anymore; I can't improve even if I do."
His words carried a hint of childish willfulness and frustration.
Seeing this, Jing Min shrugged helplessly and joked:
"You're giving up already?"
Didn't I tell you to use your elbows to generate power?
His voice carried a hint of instruction.
Upon hearing this, Chu Wuyang's irritation intensified.
He threw the cue stick in his hand with force.
The club traced a parabola in the air.
It landed with a thud on the grass not far away.
Jing Min watched her actions, simply lowered his head, smiled gently, and slowly shook his head.
It seems they've long been used to her emotional reactions.
