Chapter 155 Not Returning Home All Night

"You don't seem worried?"

Zhou Chen was sitting comfortably at the dining table, his silver fork steadily holding a truffle omelet.

The fried egg was round and golden, with the truffle patterns faintly visible on its surface.

He was just about to put the fried egg in his mouth when he heard Chu Wuyang's words.

The movement froze instantly.

He paused, the fork hovering a few inches from his lips, and hesitated for a moment.

He then turned his head, a hint of doubt in his eyes, and asked in return:

"What are you worried about?"

Chu Wuyang was slightly taken aback.

Her bright eyes were fixed on Zhou Chen.

The doubt in his eyes grew thicker, like a fog, and his brows furrowed slightly.

Zhou Chen was struck as if by lightning, instantly regaining his senses.

A flicker of panic crossed his face.

"You know Jingmin perfectly well. He only has eyes for you and is as cold as ice to everyone else, like a cold-blooded animal."

"Expecting him to take care of people?"

"Hmph, that's simply a pipe dream."

"Moreover, he himself is injured and can hardly take care of himself."

As he spoke, his emotions grew increasingly agitated, and suddenly he swung his arm.

He slammed his knife and fork onto the table, the clinking of them against the plate creating a jarring sound.

He held his head in his hands, his brows furrowed, his face a mixture of pain and worry.

With her lips slightly pursed, she sighed in an exaggerated tone:

"How can I not worry! This is breaking my heart."
