Chapter 159 The Ring

The nurse still looked somewhat puzzled, but quickly bowed slightly in apology.

"I'm so sorry, it was my mistake. I apologize for the trouble I've caused everyone."

After saying that, she left the ward with the doctor.

The atmosphere in the ward became somewhat heavy for a moment.

Yun Yang's face was full of apology, and her eyes revealed a hint of sincerity.

She looked at Chu Wuyang, her voice soft and tinged with caution:

"Miss Chu, please don't misunderstand. Nothing happened between Mr. Jing and me. He just... just..."

At this point, a slight blush rose to Yun Yang's cheeks.

As if there was some unspeakable reason, she pursed her lips and couldn't say anything more.

Jing Min stood to the side, his brows furrowed, and glared angrily at Yun Yang.

Then he interrupted in a deep voice:

"It's good that you're alright. Rest for a while, we'll be going now."

Immediately afterwards, he strode towards Chu Wuyang and grabbed her wrist without saying a word.

Regardless of Chu Wuyang's reaction, he pulled her straight out of the ward.

The two walked silently to the door of the ward, and Chu Wuyang forcefully broke free from Jing Min's tight grip on her hand.

Jing Min's cold, unfathomable eyes stared directly into hers.

There was a barely perceptible hint of probing in his voice:

Are you angry?

Chu Wuyang's face remained expressionless, but her hand unconsciously rubbed her wrist, which had been gripped and turned red.

His brows furrowed slightly as he said:

No, you're hurting me!

Jing Min's eyes flickered rapidly, and the inexplicable anger within them seemed to dissipate somewhat as if blown away by a gust of wind.

He stepped forward, his eyes filled with concern, wanting to examine her wrist:

"Let me see."

Chu Wuyang, however, nimbly dodged away like a startled deer, and said in a calm voice:

"It's alright, let's go!"

When the woman had walked quite a distance ahead, Jingmin slowly moved to catch up.

In the afternoon, we will be setting off to leave.

Chu Wuyang seemed like a different person, unusually displaying the demeanor of a "virtuous wife and loving mother," busily tidying up Jingmin's things in the room.

Jing Min sat steadily to the side, his gaze following Chu Wuyang's back-and-forth movements.

Chu Wuyang was busy and sweating profusely, but she still thoughtfully asked:

"Can you check if there's anything you've missed?"

A hint of impatience flashed across Jing Min's face, and he responded coldly:

You decide what to do!

Chu Wuyang nodded slightly, then instructed his entourage to move the packed items away.

Jingmin followed behind with his hands in his pockets at a leisurely pace.

Just before boarding, Jing Min's face suddenly turned deathly pale. He hurriedly said:

"Wait a minute, I left something behind, I'll go back and get it."

He then hurriedly got off the plane.

He stumbled slightly as he walked too fast.

Chu Wuyang frowned as he looked at it.

Time ticked by, but Jing Min still hadn't returned, and Chu Wuyang's heart began to race with anxiety.

She thought to herself that, if she wasn't mistaken, he had tripped.

Although the doctor said there was nothing seriously wrong with his leg, he still hasn't come back after so long.

A nameless worry welled up in my heart.

"Ugh! So annoying. I've already reminded him if he's left anything behind."

She muttered to herself.

Unable to contain herself any longer, she got up and decided to go find him.

In the slightly messy hospital room, Jing Min was frantically rummaging through drawers and cabinets, leaving all sorts of items in a chaotic mess.

Chu Wuyang stood to the side, anxiously urging:

"What are you looking for? If you can't find it, then forget it, everyone's waiting!"

Jing Min seemed not to hear, not turning his head, and kept muttering to himself:

"The ring, the ring is gone."

Chu Wuyang glanced down at the time on her watch and casually said:

"If it's gone, it's gone! We'll just buy another one when we get back."

Jing Min seemed to have heard something unbelievable; he abruptly turned his head.

His eyes were filled with disbelief as he stared intently at Chu Wuyang.

"This is our wedding ring, should we buy another one?"

His tone was clearly displeased, and his voice unconsciously rose a few decibels.

Chu Wuyang realized the inappropriateness of her words, pursed her lips slightly, and had no choice but to correct herself:

"Then I'll help you look for it."

As he spoke, he squatted down and began to carefully examine every corner of the ward, asking questions as he searched:

Do you remember being in this room?

Jing Min's face remained terribly gloomy. He snorted coldly and said in a stiff tone:

"What do you mean?"

"Where could you possibly lose this ring?"

"Where else could it be if not here?"

Chu Wuyang felt a tightness in her chest from Jing Min's words.

She was truly helpless, and after sighing inwardly, she said:

"Maybe it's in the bathroom. I'll go look for it."

After saying that, he got up and walked into the ward.

His steps were hurried, as if he wanted to resolve the matter as soon as possible.

Jing Min followed behind with a sullen face and without saying a word.

When we arrived at the restroom door,

He stood still, his face still icy, and questioned again:

What did you mean just now?

Chu Wuyang was bending over, rummaging through a pile of toiletries on the washstand, and replied without looking up:

"It's not very meaningful. If you remember the approximate location where you put it, we can save some time."

Jing Min frowned, emphasizing his words:
