For some reason, she felt out of place and wanted to change the subject, half-jokingly.
"Have you picked up cheesy pickup lines from spending so much time with Zhou Chen?"
Jingmin couldn't help but squeeze her hand tighter.
“I didn’t learn from him; I just followed my heart.”
The sounds kept coming, causing Chu Wuyang's eardrums to vibrate and temporarily making her unable to hear her own heartbeat.
She turned her head with feigned composure and said haughtily,
How do I know what's going on in your heart?
Jing Min chuckled. The two were standing quite close, and Chu Wuyang felt a warm breath on her ear, tickling her, and she pulled away.
"Then I'll cut it open and show it to you?"
Chu Wuyang, who had initially maintained a relatively calm expression, felt a pang of empathy when he uttered those words.
She was surprised to see an unprecedented level of seriousness in Jing Min's eyes.
Jingmin held her in his arms.
"Don't be angry anymore! We're staying here tonight. A hot spring room has been arranged. Let's go see if you like it."
She was angry because his unauthorized arrangements were disrespectful to her.
But the inexplicable anger from before vanished without a trace thanks to a dazzling fireworks display.
Chu Wuyang looked up at him, and his eyes seemed to bewitch her, so much so that she nodded involuntarily.
Jingmin's smile grew wider and wider.
Colorful fireworks continued to bloom in the night sky, showering down sparks and making the night romantic and beautiful.
Their eyes met.
Jing Min's eyes darkened, and he lowered his head to gently kiss the corner of her lips.
Seeing that she didn't resist much, he gently explored her mouth, their lips entwining in a tender, lingering kiss. The two embraced and kissed in the beautiful night; the atmosphere was perfect, the timing perfect, but the location wasn't so ideal...
He eagerly pulled her towards the hot spring room.
The night was as still as water, and the autumn night was still a bit chilly, but the temperature inside the room was rising higher and higher.
The man leaned down, showering her with passionate kisses, his warm, moist breath spraying onto her neck.
Chu Wuyang's body stiffened. She knew all this would happen the moment she entered the room, even though she had mentally prepared herself.
But she still felt resistance, her heart pounding, and Chu Wuyang even heard her own trembling voice say, "Ugh!"
The man above her sensed her resistance. "Relax, don't be afraid, I'll be gentle..."
At this point, he wouldn't let her dodge, and bit her earlobe even harder.
But his movements were still gentle; he pulled her into a state of utter surrender.
The man's domineering presence was suffocating.
She was completely unable to resist.
It has been two years since the two last had intimate contact.
His heinous acts are still vivid in my memory.
I don't want to think about it, because it's just too unbearable.
In fact, he was worried that she would hold a grudge and be traumatized, but fortunately, she didn't reject him this time.
The man felt guilty and tried his best to please her; his thin lips were warm and soft.
The woman gradually softened under the man's comforting words.
——
Nine o'clock in the evening,
The window was open, and the pale green gauze curtains billowed in the breeze, occasionally rising and falling in beautiful arcs onto the bare shoulders of the woman covered by the blanket. A dim lamp shone in the room, while brighter light from outside filtered in, creating an interplay of light and shadow that fostered an ambiguous atmosphere.
When Chu Wuyang woke up, the room was quiet and no one was there.
She picked up her phone and saw it was already 1 a.m.
Jingmin sent her a message. He left at midnight, saying he had something to do but would be back later. He told her to text him if she woke up.
She didn't care whether he came back or not; it would be better if he didn't.
The fact that the two hadn't been close for so long avoided awkwardness.
She still felt a little regretful, though she didn't know what she regretted. In the end, she just sighed softly.
Then she remembered something and hurriedly checked her phone. Ye Yuhe hadn't sent her any messages; she wondered if she had already gone home.
Before even considering whether they were asleep so late, I first made sure they had arrived home, and then I dialed the number.
The phone rang many times, and just when Chu Wuyang thought it wouldn't connect, a woman's languid voice came from the other end.
"Hey, is there something you need calling so late?"
Chu Wuyang heard a soft rustling sound on the phone; it must be the sound of people getting up.
"Are you sleeping? You're so heartless! You brought me out here and didn't even tell me you were coming home. I was just worried about whether you got home safely."
The person on the other end of the phone seemed to suddenly wake up.
"Oh, Yangyang, I'm sorry, I forgot to tell you I was too tired and fell asleep right away. Where are you now? Are you with Jingmin? Do you want me to send someone to pick you up?"
Chu Wuyang heard what sounded like voices over there and suddenly became alert.
"Ahe, are you sleeping at home? I think I heard someone talking."
"Yes, I'm at home. I'm alone. The TV was on, and people were talking on the TV. Yes, the sound was coming from the TV," Ye Yuhe stammered, sounding flustered.
Chu Wuyang relaxed after hearing her explanation. Her original concern was for her safety, and now that she had said that, she felt relieved and quickly hung up the phone.
I just took a nap, but my back is still a bit sore. Since there's a private hot spring pool in the room, I think I'll go soak in it.
Their room had a small backyard. Passing around the screen, pushing open the balcony door, and walking through a small patch of woods, one could see the stone house with its thatched roof.
Below is a hot spring pool built of stones in a staggered pattern. The water is crystal clear, and wisps of steam rise and swirl around it, like a thin veil, creating an ethereal and dreamlike atmosphere.
Chu Wuyang squatted down, reached out to test the water temperature, and found it to be just right.
