"Oh dear, I just tidied up, who was so careless as to turn the room upside down like this?"
A grumpy older woman shouted at the top of her lungs.
It turned out that the cleaning staff and nurses were tidying up and checking the rooms.
Jing Min's face instantly darkened in the bathroom, and he made a move to push open the door to see who was cursing him behind his back.
Chu Wuyang reacted quickly, reaching out to stop him and silently shaking her head.
She figured she was leaving anyway, so it was better to avoid trouble and going out would only make things more awkward.
A good-natured nurse quickly stepped forward to comfort him:
"Sister Zhou, don't be angry, I'll help you."
This week, Sister Zhou immediately changed to a playful expression and started gossiping with Xiao Zhang:
"Hey Zhang, I heard the people staying in this room these past few days are quite something,"
"Look at that pomp and circumstance, that aura, wow, they're definitely not ordinary people,"
"Even our dean is bowing and scraping to him,"
I wonder where this important person came from to our little town. He came with a girl who looks like a fairy...
Other nurses impatiently urged:
"You old fool, stop talking and hurry up and finish cleaning."
Sister Zhou immediately widened her eyes and retorted:
"Don't you have any sense of respect for the elderly and care for the young? Your mother and I are about the same age. Young people these days have no manners!"
Then he turned to Xiao Zhang and said with great interest,
"Oh, I heard that another fairy came with a young man yesterday,"
"How come such a handsome man and a beautiful woman have such a messy relationship?"
Someone curiously came over and asked:
"How so?"
Sister Zhou gestured excitedly with her hands, vividly describing:
You guys don't know, do you!
"I saw the man carrying the woman as the first couple to arrive, in the middle of the night,"
"I stayed in the room all night, and when I went to clean in the morning, I noticed that their hands were tightly clasped together and hadn't let go."
In the restroom, Jingmin's face was so cold it seemed like it could freeze over, and he made a slight movement as if he was about to leave.
Chu Wuyang grabbed him and even manually muted his microphone.
She glared at him fiercely, her eyes filled with a strong warning.
Jing Min was momentarily overwhelmed and helplessly gestured for her to let go.
He simply won't go out.
The discussion outside continued, accompanied by the sounds of things being packed up.
Someone let out a mocking laugh.
Sister Zhou then launched into another long, rambling speech:
"Young men and women are so intimate, what else could it be but a romantic relationship?"
Someone sighed softly, expressing their doubt:
"I think you're just old and can't stand seeing young people being affectionate, so you're just envious and jealous."
Sister Zhou immediately jumped up and retorted:
"Go to hell! You guys don't know, do you?"
"The fairy-like girl who came again yesterday was carried all the way up the mountain by the young man she was with,"
"You mean those steps downstairs at our hospital are so high, and you just carried me all the way like that?"
"Oh my, that was so intimate,"
"Tsk tsk, let me tell you, this old man never makes mistakes, these two are definitely lovers..."
A burst of laughter came from outside.
In the restroom, Jing Min's gaze swept over Chu Wuyang like a sharp arrow, causing Chu Wuyang to unconsciously shrink back.
In Jing Min's view, this was a sign of guilt, and instantly his jawline tightened.
Chu Wuyang felt a surge of irritation; these people were talking increasingly outrageous.
It's true what they say: it takes only a mouth to spread rumors, but it takes a lot of legwork to refute them.
She moved to stop him, but this time Jingmin was quick and swift, pulling her into his arms and holding her tightly.
Jing Min stared at Chu Wuyang with a questioning look in his eyes.
Chu Wuyang glared back defiantly.
The two were in intimate poses, but the atmosphere was tense.
Chu Wuyang moved her lips, about to speak, when Jing Min quickly reached out and covered her mouth, mimicking her gesture by manually muting her microphone.
She struggled to reach the doorknob, but Jingmin immediately noticed and forcefully pulled her hand back.
Chu Wuyang glared at him fiercely, and Jing Min glared back without backing down.
At this moment, an inexplicable anger surged within him, and he was no longer as easily intimidated by her as before.
He craned his neck, almost touching the door, his ears perked up, intently listening to the sounds outside.
Chu Wuyang couldn't help but laugh when she saw his comical appearance, which was so different from his usual demeanor.
With that smile, her teeth touched Jingmin's palm directly.
The warm, moist touch sent a jolt through Jing Min, his body stiffening instantly, his eyes flashing.
He tried to remain calm, but unconsciously loosened his grip a little.
Meeting Chu Wuyang's playful gaze only fueled her anger.
He lowered his voice and said angrily.
"You're still laughing!"
Someone frowned and said to Sister Zhou with dissatisfaction:
"Those people are in pairs, how come you call it a messy relationship!"
Sister Zhou seemed to have heard something incredible; her eyes widened suddenly, and her face was filled with excitement and agitation.
She raised her hand high and slapped it hard with a loud "smack," successfully attracting everyone's attention.
Immediately afterwards, she shouted at the top of her lungs:
"Oh dear, I told you you didn't know!"
"The young lady who came later stayed overnight in the room of the first gentleman, which was perfectly legitimate."
These words, once uttered, were like a giant rock thrown into a calm lake, instantly creating ripples.
The crowd outside erupted into a frenzy, like a powder keg that had been ignited.
