Chapter 162 Double Standards



Before he could finish speaking, Jing Min shouted angrily:

"Shut up!"

Chu Wuyang stared directly into the man's deep black eyes.

"Can people please stop being so hypocritical?"

Jing Min said in a detached tone

"Do you think I want to hold her hand?"

"It wasn't you who insisted on bringing her into our lives, but now I'm indebted to you again,"

"The doctor said she's delirious from the fever and needs to be comforted. What do you think we should do? Should we just leave her alone?"

Chu Wuyang closed her eyes.

"Yes, but that doesn't mean you can be without boundaries!"

"You were so worried about Yunyang that you disappeared without a word in the early hours of the morning. The two of you were alone in a room, holding hands until dawn, and there was no news from you for two whole days. Is this just about returning a favor? And you still say you weren't moved?"

She opened her eyes and stared intently at the man's mouth, her hands unconsciously clenching into fists, her nails digging deeply into her palms.

A mix of emotions suddenly welled up inside me; I was both afraid to hear that answer and hoping he would admit it outright.

Jing Min's thin lips pressed into a straight line as he gazed into her eyes.

Neither admitting nor denying.

After a moment of silence,

Jing Min's cold voice rang out.

"So you're rejecting my closeness with others as revenge for my leaving without saying goodbye?"

Chu Wuyang snorted impatiently, raising her eyebrows.

"Zhou Chen? He's always been in cahoots with you, how could he possibly be with me?"

Jing Min's deep eyes gleamed with a cold light as he asked in a sinister tone.

"Grown up together since childhood? It's impossible for him? And it's impossible for anyone else?"
