Jing Min's gaze was like a deep, bottomless pool, dark and profound, with a hint of unfathomable depth, lingering on Chu Wuyang for a long time.
Chu Wuyang did not back down, but stared back at him openly and honestly, her gaze clear and firm, without the slightest hint of evasion.
The light inside the car was like a thin veil, dimly enveloping the two of them, making their gazes towards each other...
Many emotions lurk in the shadows, like undercurrents beneath a calm sea.
Mysterious and dangerous.
Suddenly, a rapid knocking sound rang out on the window, like a sharp blade slicing through the thick silence.
The sound wasn't loud, but it seemed particularly abrupt in the small space, instantly breaking the icy silence between the two.
Jing Min blinked his dark eyes slightly, as if pulling himself out of some deep thoughts.
He turned to the side, his slender fingers resting on the window button, and slowly lowered the window.
There was no one outside the window. He frowned slightly, just about to roll up the car window.
A slender, pale finger suddenly appeared, gripping the edge of the glass tightly.
Immediately afterwards, a voice filled with a hint of panic and urgency reached my ears:
"Please help me!"
The voice was soft, but trembled slightly with anxiety, like a wounded fawn whimpering.
As the car window rolled down further, half of Yunyang's head was revealed, her hair slightly disheveled and scattered around her cheek.
A few strands of hair, damp with sweat, clung to his smooth forehead.
A flicker of surprise flashed across Jing Min's eyes, and he subconsciously looked up at the huge poster in the distance.
The surrounding area was in complete chaos, with a surging crowd like a boiling pot, and shouts and curses mingling together.
It's not hard to guess that someone is causing trouble.
His gaze returned to Yun Yang, noticing that her once exquisite clothes now appeared somewhat disheveled.
The collar was pulled askew, and the hem was uneven, clearly indicating that it had been torn during the earlier struggle.
His eyes narrowed slightly, and almost without thinking, he pressed the door lock, stepped aside slightly, and gestured for Yunyang to get in the car.
Yun Yang's eyes were full of gratitude, sparkling like a dusty pearl regaining its brilliance.
Her slender fingers had just touched the car door handle, and she was about to use it to get into the car...
Suddenly, a painful groan came from the back seat:
"Ouch! It hurts so much, my head hurts so much..."
The voice was soft and melodious, yet trembled slightly with pain.
Jing Min seemed to be struck by an electric current, his body tensing instantly.
Long, slender fingers swiftly landed on the car lock.
He turned his body sharply, the veins on his neck bulging slightly.
His usually deep, cool eyes were now filled with tension and concern, and his voice unconsciously rose a few decibels as he asked urgently:
"What's wrong? Why does it hurt?"
Yun Yang was slightly taken aback before turning her gaze to the back seat of the car.
A barely perceptible look of surprise flashed deep in her eyes.
He thought to himself: When did a woman end up hiding in the back seat?
Her thoughts instantly drifted back to the event not long ago, where she had spotted the luxury car waiting patiently nearby from afar.
The license plate number was like a familiar shadow, quietly stirring in her heart, making her restless and eager.
So, without making a sound, she instructed her assistant to pretend to pass by and go and spy on the situation.
Sure enough, it was Jing Min!
At that moment, it felt as if an invisible hand was gently plucking at her heartstrings, stirring them in countless ways.
So when the scene descended into chaos and she became separated from her assistant, she ran towards the car without hesitation.
After all, she knew that if her disheveled appearance were seen by others and captured by those ever-present cameras, her haters would seize the opportunity to make a big fuss about it.
She was certain that Jingmin would remember their past relationship and let her get in the car to escape the chaotic crowd.
Unexpectedly, there were other women in the car.
Yun Yang's meticulously drawn eyebrows furrowed slightly, a hint of suspicion and bitterness flashing in her eyes.
Just as she was still reeling from the shock, unable to shake off the fact that the usually cold and aloof Jing Min had shown such tender care for other women,
The woman in the back seat slowly raised her head, her face fully revealed before her.
In an instant, the surging surprise in Yun Yang's heart receded like a tide, replaced by a self-deprecating bitter smile.
It really was Chu Wuyang!
And only this woman,
It could easily stir ripples on Jing Min's seemingly icy heart, throwing him into such a state of utter confusion.
Chu Wuyang's face was as pale as paper, and fine beads of sweat seeped from her smooth forehead.
Her hands were tightly pressed against her abdomen, her fingers turning white from the force. Her frail, boneless body was slightly curled up, like a wounded young animal trembling in pain.
Her other hand gripped Jingmin's arm tightly, her nails unconsciously digging into his sleeve.
His eyes were filled with helplessness and pain, and his voice was weak and choked with sobs.
Suddenly, my stomach started hurting so much...
Jing Min's face turned deathly pale instantly, his eyes filled with anxiety and self-reproach. His hands trembled slightly as he carefully grasped Chu Wuyang's hand, his voice becoming gentle yet urgent:
"Did you eat something wrong just now?"
As he spoke, he quickly moved his body, half-crawling, and gently but somewhat hurriedly straightened Chu Wuyang, allowing her to lean comfortably against the back seat.
His gaze never left Chu Wuyang's face.
"Does it hurt a lot? I'll take you to the hospital."
He straightened up in the driver's seat, and with nimble hands, quickly fastened his seatbelt.
