The lights flickered, and the fragrance of clothes and the shadows of hair mingled.
Chu Wuyang arrived gracefully in a low-cut champagne-colored dress.
Like a glittering star, it instantly attracted everyone's attention.
The dress's cut accentuated her graceful figure, and the exquisite fabric shimmered with a captivating luster in the light.
But this made Jing Min, who was standing to the side, frown.
Jing Min's tall figure quickly approached.
His arm seemed to naturally encircle Chu Wuyang's slender waist.
But his slightly clenched fingers betrayed his tension.
He opened his mouth, as if to say something, but then stopped himself.
His lips trembled a few times, but he ultimately couldn't utter a word.
Finally, the formal speeches ended.
He immediately beckoned to his servant, whispered a few instructions, and then...
A soft shawl was handed to Chu Wuyang.
Chu Wuyang held the "unnecessary" shawl.
His lips turned down slightly, and his eyes dimmed a bit.
He looked up at Jing Min and said softly:
"I'm going to change my clothes!"
Jingmin's expression relaxed slightly.
"I'll stay with you!"
Just as I was about to lift my leg and follow, I heard Chu Wuyang whisper again:
"There are so many people here, it's not right for you to just walk away like this."
Just then, several guests came over with smiles on their faces to chat.
Jing Min had no choice but to stop, lean closer to Chu Wuyang, and urge her in a low voice:
"Then hurry back!"
Chu Wuyang nodded slightly, and as she turned around, her gaze fell on the wine glass in Jing Min's hand.
He stopped in his tracks, a complex emotion flashing in his eyes.
"What's wrong?"
Jingmin keenly noticed her unusual behavior, his eyes filled with questions.
"It's nothing, just drink less!"
Chu Wuyang came to her senses, a trace of panic still lingering in her eyes, but her tone was deliberately calm.
Jingmin felt as if her sudden concern had touched the softest part of his heart.
A smile of satisfaction appeared on his lips as he softly said:
"It's alright, I can hold my liquor well, go ahead!"
Chu Wuyang lifted her skirt and quickly crossed the garden.
Looking back every now and then, I saw Yunyang wearing a moon-white long dress.
With her graceful figure, she gently swirled the crystal wine glass in her hand.
But her gaze was like an invisible net, tightly capturing Jing Min, who was chatting and laughing with the guests in the crowd.
Although Yun Yang did not reveal her specific plans to Chu Wuyang,
But for some reason, a gloomy feeling settled over Chu Wuyang's heart.
An ominous premonition followed me like a shadow.
There's no turning back now that things have come to this.
She gritted her teeth, quickened her pace, and hurriedly left the stage.
Suddenly, two soft exclamations of surprise rang out at the same time.
Chu Wuyang felt a blur before her eyes, and then her body collided head-on with someone.
She steadied herself and looked up.
The woman in front of him looked somewhat familiar, but he couldn't remember where he had seen her before.
The woman appeared extremely flustered, hurriedly getting up and frantically helping Chu Wuyang up.
He spoke rapidly, like a machine gun:
"I'm so sorry, Mrs. Jing, I didn't mean to."
Her eyes were filled with fear and unease, and her cheeks were slightly flushed, as if she was afraid that Chu Wuyang would blame her.
Chu Wuyang straightened up, gently patted the wrinkles on her skirt, and said calmly:
"It's nothing, it was my own fault for not watching where I was going, it's not your fault."
However, her gaze inadvertently fell on the woman's eyes, and a hint of doubt arose in her heart.
I was clearly looking at Yunyang absentmindedly when I bumped into her first.
But why didn't this woman move away?
Chu Wuyang looked up and saw Yun Yang's figure clearly in front of her.
At the same time, the woman raised her head, as if realizing something, and hurriedly apologized:
"Sorry! I was just looking at celebrities,"
"That must be Miss Yunyang!"
"I'm a fan of hers, and I was so engrossed in watching that I didn't notice anything."
Her voice trembled slightly as she explained, but a subtle, unusual glint flashed in her eyes.
Chu Wuyang found it increasingly strange and silently observed the other person.
The girl in front of me had a simple and honest appearance, and her clothes were quite conventional.
Instead of the excitement and exhilaration one would expect when seeing an idol, her eyes subtly revealed a hint of resentment.
This doesn't look like a typical fangirl at all.
Could it be a "sasaeng fan" sent by Yunyang's competitor?
Chu Wuyang had long heard about the outrageous malicious competition in the entertainment industry.
She glanced at Yun Yang secretly.
Thinking to myself, perhaps even Yunyang herself doesn't know,
Or perhaps she is strong-willed and doesn't care about these petty actions at all.
However, this is ultimately none of my business.
Her relationship with Yunyang wasn't good enough for them to discuss these things.
The girl seemed to recognize Chu Wuyang and was afraid of being kicked out.
With timid eyes, she apologized again in a low voice:
"Mrs. Jing, I'm so sorry, I really didn't mean to. Please don't have someone kick me out..."
Chu Wuyang gently waved his hand, interrupting her, and then asked:
"Are you also an employee of Boyifang?"
The girl paused slightly, then subconsciously shook her head.
Then, he glanced cautiously at Chu Wuyang and stammered:
"No, I work at KOALA."
Upon hearing this answer, Chu Wuyang's eyes instantly darkened and became unreadable.
Although she wasn't very clear about the group's structure, Jing Min was the actual person in charge of KOALA now, so it wasn't surprising that KOALA employees were invited to the anniversary celebration and annual meeting together.
