"Mrs. Jing, what are you doing here?"
Rong Fu's voice was tinged with surprise, her eyebrows slightly raised, and her eyes held a hint of astonishment.
Chu Wuyang turned around abruptly and saw that it was her.
Startled,
Almost instinctively, I raised my hand to cover her mouth, and put my index finger to my lips in a "shh" gesture.
His gaze involuntarily swept over the group of colleagues behind him who were chatting happily. His voice was very low, tinged with urgency:
Please keep this a secret!
Rong Fu looked puzzled, but still nodded slightly.
Seeing that she agreed, Chu Wuyang finally let go of her hand and breathed a sigh of relief.
Rong Fu picked up her cup and took a sip of water, as if to calm her earlier surprise.
Chu Wuyang frowned slightly and looked at her, asking:
What are you doing here?
"I mentioned to you before that I work here."
Rong Fu put down her cup and reminded her with a smile.
Chu Wuyang was taken aback, then remembered that she had indeed heard her mention this before, and nodded:
"Oh right... So you're from the design department? I've never seen you before."
Rong Fu shook her head, waved the thick stack of documents in her hand, and patiently explained:
"No, I'm in the marketing department. I'm here to deliver some materials to the design director."
Chu Wuyang gave a soft "Oh," indicating that she understood.
She turned and walked to the sink, turned on the tap and carefully cleaned the dirt off her hands. When she dried her hands and turned back, she found that Rong Fu was still standing there and showed no sign of leaving.
She raised an eyebrow slightly and asked in confusion:
"Is there anything else?"
Rong Fu bit her lower lip, as if hesitating whether to speak.
A moment later,
She took a deep breath and whispered:
"About Yunyang..."
Before the words were finished,
Chu Wuyang subconsciously glanced at her colleagues who were whispering not far away, and had some guesses in her mind.
She assumed Rong Fu was upset because they were gossiping about her idol behind her back, so she casually offered some words of comfort:
"They're just talking nonsense, don't take it to heart, it's not true."
To everyone's surprise, Rong Fu immediately shook her head frantically, like a rattle-drum, her face showing a hint of urgency:
"no!"
Chu Wuyang frowned slightly at her reaction, looking at her with a hint of inquiry in his eyes.
Rong Fu took a deep breath, as if she had finally made up her mind, and said in a low voice:
"Mrs. Jing, I want to tell you... Yun Yang, she is not a good person!"
Upon hearing this, a hint of surprise flashed in Chu Wuyang's eyes.
She clearly remembered that Rong Fu used to be a fan of Yun Yang, so why would she suddenly say such a thing?
Seeing the confusion on her face, Rong Fu gritted her teeth and told her everything:
"That night at the Jing family manor, I saw with my own eyes... Yun Yang put a drug in the wine glass, and then she handed that glass to you..."
She glanced around warily halfway through her sentence.
Make sure no one is paying attention here.
He lowered his voice and continued as he approached Chu Wuyang:
"Although I don't know what her purpose was, she did it!"
Chu Wuyang's eyes widened suddenly; she hadn't expected that a third person would know about and witness this.
No wonder! Rong Fu seemed to be paying special attention to Yun Yang at the time, and of course she noticed her little actions.
She instantly recalled that night and finally understood one thing—
"So, you rushed to the North Building that night... to make sure I was alright?"
Chu Wuyang asked tentatively.
Rong Fu nodded vigorously, her expression resolute:
"Yes! Actually, I guessed you should be fine, but I'm worried about whether she did anything else afterward."
Chu Wuyang's expression froze slightly, and an indescribable feeling welled up in his heart:
"How so?"
Rong Fu glanced around, gritted her teeth, leaned close to her ear, and whispered:
"Because... after I discovered that Yunyang had drugged me, I switched the drink I gave you when she wasn't looking!"
Chu Wuyang's eyes were filled with shock:
"You mean... the drink I drank didn't actually contain any drugs?"
Rong Fu was startled by her reaction and nodded blankly.
Chu Wuyang's mind went completely blank for a moment.
She had always believed that Jing Min had been drugged, which was why he lost control that night.
But if there's no medicine in the wine at all, then that means—
He was actually conscious.
Even though the alcohol had clouded his senses, he was still absolutely aware of what he was doing.
In other words, after recognizing reality, he did not reject Yunyang, but instead went with the flow.
Chu Wuyang's heart sank heavily.
If Yun Yang knew about this, she wouldn't have waited so calmly; she would have confronted them long ago.
But she didn't—which means she didn't know at all!
So... what exactly does Jingmin mean?
Wanting to be yourself, but not wanting to reject Yunyang?
Having two relationships at the same time?
absurd!
Thinking of this, Chu Wuyang could no longer restrain himself and directly took out his phone to dial Yun Yang's number.
She didn't want to wait any longer.
Since Jingmin is willing,
So she helped to bring the matter to light and obtain irrefutable evidence of his infidelity.
After the call was dialed, the familiar dial tone sounded in my ear, one tone, two tonees...
As always, Yunyang answered the phone very slowly, just like every time before, seemingly not in a hurry.
Chu Wuyang stared at his phone screen, his fingers unconsciously tightening, a cold glint flashing in his eyes.
The call was finally connected, and Yunyang's relaxed voice came through the receiver, carrying a hint of languor:
"Why are you in such a hurry to find me?"
"Didn't I reply to you this morning? No rush, my belly hasn't shown any signs yet."
