Chapter 196 Not Replying to Messages

The air in the underground parking lot smelled faintly of engine oil, and the dim lighting cast long shadows.

Chu Wuyang hummed a little tune as she stepped out of the elevator, her steps light and quick, a slight smile playing on her lips.

He was clearly in a good mood.

During this period, she drove herself to and from get off work.

Since Jingmin and Yunyang's relationship entered a passionate phase, his attention has clearly shifted away from her.

He couldn't even keep his promise to take her to work more than a few times.

Since that's the case,

She simply refused the driver's offer to pick her up.

Take control of your time and your route.

This sense of freedom from being completely unstructured and not being forced to accept anything you don't want

It's incredibly refreshing.

"Shh-"

Playful whistles echoed through the empty parking lot.

Chu Wuyang paused, then subconsciously turned around.

A dimly lit corner,

A figure leaned against the wall.

His posture was relaxed and casual, with sunglasses covering most of his face.

But the smile on his lips couldn't be hidden.

Jin Xian crossed his legs and hugged his arms, looking completely nonchalant.

After seeing the look she gave me

He grinned, revealing a set of white teeth, and smiled like a cat that had just stolen some fish.

"What a coincidence, sister."

His voice was deliberately softened, with a hint of teasing and a touch of irreverent flirtation.

Chu Wuyang's gaze was as indifferent as if he were looking at an insignificant stone, and he withdrew his gaze without hesitation.

He turned around and walked straight to the parking space.

Seeing this, Jin Xian forgot all about showing off his cool pose.

He hurried after her, his long legs moving quickly, his tone both flippant and ingratiating:

"Sister, don't go! Hey, can I add you on WeChat?"

Chu Wuyang ignored him and walked straight to her car, placing her hand on the door handle.

Sensing the gaze behind him that clearly wasn't going to leave,

She finally stopped moving.

Turning to look at Jin Xian, his eyes narrowed slightly, his voice cold and threatening:

"I don't know you."

"If you keep bothering me, I'll call the police."

"Aren't you a celebrity? You want to be on this kind of trending topic?"

Her gaze was as cold as a knife, her tone devoid of any emotion, carrying an innate sense of detachment and impatience.

But Jin Xian was not deterred by her warning at all; on the contrary, he found her extremely cute.

His smile deepened, the corners of his mouth slightly upturned, his tone light and slightly mocking:

"Hey, why have you become so fierce lately?"

Chu Wuyang frowned slightly.

I felt this person was so overly familiar that it was almost like he was sick, and I didn't want to waste any more words with him.

She opened the car door, preparing to get in.

But Jin Xian was quick-witted and nimble-fingered.

Grab her wrist and stop her movement.

The distance between the two suddenly closed.

Jin Xian leaned forward slightly.

Chu Wuyang's body was pulled backward by his force.

Between the interplay of light and shadow,

Their posture created the illusion of an embrace from behind, which was surprisingly ambiguous.

"Beep—!"

A piercing car horn suddenly blared, shattering the silence of the underground parking lot.

Chu Wuyang and Jin Xian looked toward the source of the sound at the same time.

Not far away,

A black Bentley was parked quietly behind, its windows closed, obscuring the view of anyone inside.

Jin Xian raised an eyebrow.

He didn't take the sound seriously.

He released Chu Wuyang's hand, shrugged, and acted as if it didn't matter.

"Tsk, looks like my sister's pretty popular, she even has fans in the parking lot?"

Chu Wuyang ignored him and took the opportunity to open the car door and get in.

Seeing this, Jin Xuan shamelessly tried to get into the car with him, leaning forward with a grin:

"Give me a ride, please!"

Chu Wuyang's face darkened.

He reached out and blocked the car door, preventing him from getting closer, and was about to reprimand him.

A series of steady footsteps approached from afar.

From slow to heavy, each step seemed to deliberately slow down the pace, approaching with a sense of pressure.

She caught a glimpse of it out of the corner of her eye.

The driver's side door of the Bentley has been opened.

A figure slowly walked out into the silent air, the slender silhouette stretched long by the dim lights of the parking lot.

The footsteps were steady and restrained, approaching the two step by step.

In front of the black Bentley

Jing Min stood tall and straight, his suit was impeccably tailored, and the cuffs of his sleeves were slightly rolled up, revealing an expensive watch on his wrist.

His expression was cold and stern, and his features, hidden in the dim light and shadow, appeared even more profound and unfathomable.

Jin Xian also noticed the newcomer, took off his sunglasses and hung them on his chest.

A hint of surprise flashed across his eyes.

But then he raised an eyebrow, a faint smile playing at the corners of his lips.

It was as if they were eagerly waiting to see a good show.

Chu Wuyang stood by the car door, feeling the low air pressure; her fingertips curled slightly.

But the coldness on his face remained unchanged.

She remained calm as she watched Jing Min approach step by step.

"You're not replying to my messages because of this pretty boy?"

The man's voice was deep and suppressed, his cold gaze fixed on her.

As if trying to read something from her face.

Chu Wuyang didn't say anything.

She merely raised her eyes slightly to meet his gaze, her eyes calm and undisturbed.

Jing Min's gaze fell on Jin Xian, a dangerous chill instantly flashing in his eyes, his voice growing deeper:

When did you start liking this type of person?

Jin Xuan was amused by this remark.

He shrugged, looking innocent and lazy, his smile deepening, as if he didn't mind being categorized this way at all.

"Hey, Mr. Jing, what kind of type is 'this type'? Could you give me a definition?"
