Chapter 197 Denial

Two cars drove into the north building of the Jing Family Manor, one after the other, in the dead of night.

There was a sense of oppression in the air.

Jing Min slammed the car door shut and hurried towards Chu Wuyang's room.

His brows were furrowed, and his face was as gloomy as the clouds before a storm.

He held his breath, raised his hand, and pounded hard on the door, the sound coming one after another with an unyielding force.

"Come out! Let's talk."

There was no sound from inside the room, a silence that gradually wore down his patience.

Jing Min took a deep breath, his eyes turning cold, and his tone carrying an added sense of danger.

"Don't force me to tear down the door!"

That's something he'd do.

The door was suddenly yanked open.

But it only opened a crack.

Chu Wuyang stood at the door, her eyes wary and her face full of defensiveness.

She looked at him coldly, her tone impatient and tinged with sarcasm:

What are you barking like a dog?

Jingmin reacted quickly, reaching out to block the door.

His brows were furrowed with displeasure, and his voice was lowered, revealing an aggressive anger.

"What? You can't even talk to me properly now?"

Chu Wuyang frowned and impatiently urged:

What exactly are you trying to say?

Jing Min tightened his grip slightly, his gaze fixed intently on her, his voice low and husky.

It was as if she was trying her best to suppress her emotions.

"When did you start hooking up with that pretty boy?"

Upon hearing this, Chu Wuyang frowned.

A hint of doubt flashed in his eyes, but it was quickly masked by indifference.

"I don't know what you're talking about."

She didn't want to get entangled with him, and she couldn't even be bothered to explain.

She couldn't figure out what he was up to, whether it was possessiveness or an attempt to frame her.

Then, thinking of Yun Yang's pregnancy, his eyes darkened.

In the past few days, she has already prepared the divorce agreement. She doesn't want anything else, only the shares of KOALA.

Anyway, Jing Min controls such a large business empire as Boyifang, so those shares are just a drop in the ocean for him.

That was hers; it was perfectly reasonable for her to take it.

But Jingmin clearly had no intention of letting her off so easily.

He gritted his teeth and gave a cold laugh, his eyes sharp as knives.

"You still want to deny it?"

"If I hadn't caught you today, how long were you planning to keep this from me?"

"You dare say that the guy you were drinking with at the bar that day wasn't him?"

His tone was somewhat aggressive and questioning, and even contained an undisguised jealousy.

The expression on his face was genuine, without a trace of deception.

He seemed consumed by anger and resentment, barely able to contain his emotions.

Chu Wuyang was stunned for a moment, and his heart trembled slightly.

Is he... jealous?

No, in the blink of an eye,

She then coldly retracted her ridiculous idea.

He's always like this; his mood changes faster than turning the pages of a book.

She had long since learned not to readily believe any emotion on his face.

If he truly cares, then what about the child in Yun Yang's belly?

So, what is the cause of his anger now?

Possessiveness? Yes, after all, she is still "Mrs. Jing" in name only.

The last time he was trending on social media, he must have felt humiliated, so he's only now coming to demand an explanation?

Or is he trying to prove that she has a relationship with another man in order to alleviate his own guilt about "cheating"?

Chu Wuyang curled her lips in a mocking smile.

His eyes were cold, his tone casual, as if he didn't care at all:

"Yes, whatever you say."

"Can I let go now?"

Jing Min's pupils contracted slightly, his face instantly turned terrifyingly gloomy, and his fingertips trembled slightly.

Anger surged in his eyes, like a storm about to erupt.

"What did you say?"

He spoke slowly and deliberately, his voice low and hoarse as if squeezed from the depths of his throat, each word carrying a hint of suppressed anger.

He stared into Chu Wuyang's eyes, as if trying to find a trace of hesitation or regret in her expression.

But her expression was as calm as still water, even revealing a hint of nonchalant disdain.

At that moment, the string in his heart was stretched even tighter—so tight that it almost snapped.

Chu Wuyang keenly sensed that Jing Min's mood was off.

His brow furrowed slightly, and alarm bells rang in his mind.

She didn't want to provoke him too much.

After all, he is suspected of having a mental illness, and that's not just talk.

She took a deep breath, trying to keep her tone steady, and looked at him calmly as she advised:

"You don't need to get agitated!"

"Now that we've already talked it out, and you're not hiding your relationship with Yunyang from me, it's practically an open secret in your circle, half-truthfully and half-jokingly."

"Let's just lay it all out on the table. You don't need to care whether I have any connections with others. I just want to ask you—when are we going to get things done?"

Her words were clear and distinct, her eyes revealing a hint of impatience.

However, Jing Min seemed not to understand.

His face remained somber, yet he deliberately maintained a calm demeanor, asking slowly in return:

"What are we doing?"

Chu Wuyang sneered.

Even now that things have come to this, will he still pretend to be deaf and dumb?

She was too tired to keep beating around the bush with him.

Anyway, Yunyang's baby is definitely out of the question.

He should be in a hurry to resolve this.

She stated it directly:

"Let's get a divorce!"

A brief silence fell over the room...

Night seeped in through the window, creating an eerie, chilly atmosphere!

Jingmin seemed to have heard the biggest joke in the world.
