Chapter 207 Who is he?

Yun Yang lowered her head and fell silent, her hands clasped together on her lap.

It seemed as if they were weighing something carefully.

In an instant,

She looked up and quickly wiped away the tears on her face with the back of her hand.

She wanted to find reasons for her past affections, which she had once received from him.

This was an attempt to awaken Jingmin's compassion.

"Okay... even if you gave me those material things because I lied to you about 'saving my life'..."

She paused, her eyes filled with struggle and a final hope, and continued:

"So, when we were abroad, you got sick and kept calling my name while you were unconscious... Your name is 'Yangyang'."

She stared intently at Jing Min's face, afraid he would deny it, and hurriedly added:

"Zhou Chen and Rong Yu both heard it; it was the doctor who said it..."

Upon hearing this, Jing Min raised an eyebrow slightly, his gaze landing on Yun Yang with a hint of mockery, his tone calm yet sharp as a knife:

"Yunyang, when have you ever heard me call you 'Yangyang'?"

These words were like a muffled thunderclap, shattering Yun Yang's hopes into dust.

Her body trembled slightly, and a hint of fear and unease appeared in her eyes:

"Wh...what do you mean?"

Jing Min stood up, straightened his cuffs, and spoke with a nonchalant disdain:

"Foreign doctors have accents...didn't you know that?"

Yun Yang's mind was buzzing, and she froze on the spot, her face drained of color.

She recalled countless moments from the past and realized that Jingmin seemed to have never called her by that name before.

She stiffly raised her head and asked in a trembling voice:

"Then...who are you calling?"

Jing Min lowered his gaze, staring at her with a half-smile, and asked in return:

What do you think?

Yun Yang didn't want to admit it, but she had no choice but to face the cruel reality.

Recalling certain details, her eyes darkened, and she murmured to herself:

"Yes...you've liked her for a long time...you call her Chu Wuyang,"

Jing Min's pupils contracted slightly.

It was as if they had grasped some key information.

His tone suddenly turned cold, and he asked sharply:

"You know about my past with her? Who told you? Was it the person behind you? The one who harmed me?"

Yun Yang stared at him blankly, as if her soul had been ripped out, and her eyes gradually lost their luster.

Completely ignoring Jingmin's problem

A strange smile suddenly appeared on her lips, her voice low and shrill, as if she were talking to herself:

"So what if you truly love her? You know she doesn't love you at all, and she never will!"

At this point, her emotions became increasingly out of control, her eyes filled with insane jealousy, even bordering on madness:

"You two will never be able to stay together peacefully! Hahahaha! Do you know why?"

"Because he won't just stand by and watch you two fall in love!"

Her laughter was shrill, and her incoherent ramblings were filled with resentment and curses.

Jing Min's eyes darkened, and he instantly stood up from his chair.

He walked up to Yunyang,

The voice was deep and urgent:

"Him? Who is he?"

"What do you mean? What do you know? Why can't we be together peacefully? Is someone behind you causing trouble? Who is it?"

Yun Yang, however, seemed to have gone mad, laughing to herself with a vacant look in her eyes.

He didn't answer his question at all.

Jingmin forced himself to suppress his inner turmoil.

Taking a deep breath, his tone calmed down a bit, and he spoke again:

"Who took you to the private beach on Sunrise Island back then?"

His gaze was cold as he stared at Yun Yang.

He had long suspected that Yun Yang had "accidentally" wandered onto the private beach, although he later verified that she was indeed a fisherwoman from a coastal family.

But the beach was heavily guarded, and it was impossible for an ordinary fisherwoman to easily break in.

Her explanation at the time was that she had accidentally wandered in, and he didn't investigate further.

Until later, he was poisoned by snake venom...

It turns out that the interaction of unknown toxins in the body has awakened some inexplicably lost deep memories.

Feeling something was amiss, he couldn't help but suspect that there was more to the story.

Upon hearing this, Yun Yang's expression changed slightly.

A complex emotion flashed across her face.

She looked up at Jing Min, who was standing very close to her.

His eyes revealed a mixture of resentment and longing.

She raised her hand slightly, as if wanting to touch him.

But then, out of fear, she shrank back.

She chuckled softly, her eyes unfocused.

His tone was tinged with bitterness and madness:

"Who sent me here? Are you saying you're taking me to that beach, to your side?"

"Haha, a man... a man as handsome as you."

Jing Min's eyes grew colder as he suppressed his impatience and continued to press:

"Be specific!"

Yun Yang seemed lost in some kind of memory, her eyes gradually becoming unfocused, her voice faltering:

"Haha...but he looks too cold...too cold, not easy to approach."

“I’m afraid of him. I get scared as soon as I hear his name.”

"He told me that as long as I pretended to save you... you'd be mine... hahaha..."

Her laughter was a mixture of madness and self-mockery.

Jing Min's gaze was like a knife, fixed intently on her:

"What's that man's name?"

Yun Yang's laughter stopped abruptly, fear quickly appearing on her face. She covered her head with her hands, her voice trembling:

"I can't say... I can't say..."

Looking at her expression, Jing Min's eyes grew even colder.

He glanced back and called out in a cold voice:

“Yan Zhou”.

Yan Zhou immediately walked in from outside, glanced at Yun Yang, and said with a normal expression:

"Mr. Jing, she must have suffered a major shock, and her mental state is not very stable."

"Should we see a psychologist to help?"

Jing Min waved his hand coldly and said in a deep voice:

"No need, let her calm down first."

Yan Zhou nodded, glanced at Yun Yang with a deep look, and stepped aside.

Jing Min stood still, his eyes as cold as knives, but his heart was churning with turmoil.

He had already determined that Yun Yang was not the one who saved him.

But is the person who instructed her to pretend to save him the same group of people as the person who harmed him, or is it someone else entirely?

Most importantly,

That person actually knew everything about his relationship with Chu Wuyang; back then, very few people knew about their secret affair.
