The sound of waves crashing in one after another, accompanied by the damp, salty sea breeze blowing in from the window.
The wind swept past the sheer white curtains, which were lifted by the breeze and gently pattered against the window frame.
The woman on the bed was fast asleep, her body slightly curled up, as if seeking the warmth of her dreams.
Feeling a chill seep in from outside the window, she couldn't help but shrink deeper into the covers.
A strong, powerful arm moved.
Leaning out from under the woman's shoulder
With a touch of laziness and inertia.
A slender, fair hand traced the edge of the blanket.
He gently pulled the slipped blanket up to cover the woman's exposed shoulders.
The woman unconsciously moved closer to the heat source.
Her soft body snuggled into his arms.
Fine strands of hair brushed against his chest, leaving a faint, ticklish sensation.
A woman's delicate fragrance lingered around my nose.
The man closed his eyes, his Adam's apple bobbing slightly, and his fingertips unconsciously slipped under the covers, reaching towards the woman's waist.
The woman in his arms stirred, her brow furrowing slightly.
It seemed that the sudden tingling sensation had awakened my nerves.
The man did not stop.
His fingers pressed gently against her smooth skin, his slightly hot palms seeming to burn, imprinting heat onto her body.
A tingling sensation washed over her, and the woman finally woke up.
Her long eyelashes trembled slightly as she opened her eyes, her gaze filled with a mixture of drowsiness and dissatisfaction.
The man lowered his head slightly and chuckled softly:
"woke up?"
The woman looked up at him, her eyes still heavy with sleep.
What are you doing!
Her voice was slightly hoarse but carried anger.
Jingmin reached out and pulled up the blanket that had slipped off her body due to the sudden movement, reminding her in a low and gentle voice:
Be careful not to catch a cold.
A seemingly concerned remark felt like a punch landing on cotton.
Chu Wuyang's brows furrowed even deeper.
She looked up at Jing Min, trying to catch a clue on his face, but she couldn't see through his expression—what was going on this time?
Is this another act?
Seeing her dazed expression, Jing Min smiled faintly and gently touched her face.
"What's wrong? Are you still angry? I've already calmed down, why are you still angry?"
Chu Wuyang's thoughts were a jumbled mess.
I simply can't figure out the reason for his emotional shift.
He was so aggressive yesterday, but now he seems completely calm.
She hadn't fully processed what had happened last night—she had initially thought she was going to confront Yun Yang, but it had turned into a farcical kidnapping… and now,
She ended up in the same bed with him again.
Her gaze couldn't help but shift to Jing Min, only to meet his eyes, which held a hidden lust.
Chu Wuyang's heart skipped a beat.
She glanced down at her thin, light clothing, then frantically grabbed the blanket and wrapped it around herself.
Jing Min's eyes darkened instantly when he saw her "defense-against-wolves" demeanor.
He shifted to a more relaxed posture, resting his head on his arm, a carefree smile playing on his lips.
"Isn't it a bit too late to cover it up now?"
"What part of your body haven't I seen, kissed, or touched?"
Chu Wuyang ignored him and stood up, throwing off the covers and grabbing a bathrobe from the side, draping it over herself with swift and decisive movements.
She was just about to walk towards the bathroom when her gaze inadvertently swept over the room's furnishings, and she stopped in her tracks.
The familiar wooden cabin, the azure sea and sky outside the window… she froze instantly, turning to look at Jing Min on the bed, who was watching her with a half-smile.
My heart sank immediately.
She narrowed her eyes, her tone questioning:
"The seaside? This is Golden Sunflower Island? Why did you bring me here? Are you trying to imprison me?"
She hadn't forgotten how Jing Min had hinted at the island's top-notch security measures back on Golden Sunflower Island.
Now she can't help but wonder—now that her scheme against him has failed, is he planning to punish her in this way?
Seeing that she was somewhat agitated, Jing Min's smile faded slightly. He got up from the bed and walked slowly to her side, his movements natural, his voice gentle:
"Don't worry, this isn't Golden Sunflower Island, we're still in Haicheng."
"This is Sunrise Island, a place you've never been before."
His tone was sincere, and his eyes conveyed a sense of reassurance.
However, after a few seconds of pause, his voice lowered, as if he were making a helpless confession:
"However... although that was indeed what I thought before..."
Upon hearing this, Chu Wuyang's expression changed instantly, and he was about to explode with suppressed emotions.
Seeing this, Jingmin quickly interrupted her with a smile:
"But I won't imprison you!"
His tone was soft yet carried a hint of firmness.
His eyes met hers.
It was as if she was trying to calm the turmoil in her heart.
Hatsumi Yomoto wanted to say something more,
But Jing Min gently lowered his head to interrupt her. He moved closer to her, his warm breath brushing against her cheek, and lightly pecked her cheek.
"Go take a shower first, we'll talk later."
Chu Wuyang was taken aback, and looked at him suspiciously.
In the end, he said nothing, turned around, and went into the bathroom.
When she came out, sunlight streamed into the dining room through the windows.
The reflection gives the items on the dining table a warm, hazy feel.
A simple breakfast was laid out on the table: a few slices of slightly charred toast, a fried egg, unevenly cut fruit, and two steaming cups of coffee.
Chu Wuyang stood in front of the table, his gaze sweeping around.
A hint of surprise flashed across his eyes.
Jingmin was holding a freshly made sandwich, his movements a little clumsy, showing that he wasn't used to these kinds of trivial matters.
Although the dishes did not look particularly refined, and could even be described as somewhat amateurish, the effort he put into the presentation and preparation was evident.
