Chapter 213 Memories

He paused, his gaze falling on Chu Wuyang, and continued.

"As for the aftereffects of the injury I just mentioned... it's actually that I have difficulty falling asleep after getting emotional."

"After a doctor's diagnosis, it was discovered that this was not a simple psychological problem, but because someone had given me some kind of unknown drug."

Chu Wuyang was slightly taken aback:

"drug?"

Jing Min sighed softly, his brows furrowing slightly, his tone tinged with restraint:

"This drug can not only cause temporary confusion, but also lead to partial memory loss."

"What's even more troublesome is that there was no antidote at the time, and I didn't even know I had lost my memory until recently..."

He turned to look at her, his voice low and uncertain:

“Last time we were on the yacht, after I was bitten by a snake, I suddenly remembered some familiar fragments in a daze.”

"At that moment, I vaguely realized that I might have lost an important memory..."

Upon hearing this, Chu Wuyang abruptly interrupted him, her tone tinged with bitterness:

"You remembered, didn't you? That's why you kept calling out 'Yunyang, Yunyang' back then."

Jing Min was taken aback, seemingly not expecting her to bring this up suddenly.

He gave a wry smile and shook his head, saying:

"So you were jealous back then? That's why you gave me the cold shoulder at the villa later?"

Chu Wuyang didn't answer, but shook off his hand and strode forward.

Upon seeing this, Jingmin immediately caught up with her, grabbed her shoulder, and turned her around to face him.

His tone became more serious:

"Weren't you wondering why I asked you if this place was familiar? Because... in the fragments I remembered after being bitten by a snake, you were in them."

Upon hearing this, Chu Wuyang frowned, looking completely bewildered.

"How is that possible?"

She instinctively denied it:

"At that time, we had already broken up, and it was impossible for us to meet! Let alone talk about your injury."

"The last time I saw you was when you dropped out of school to study abroad. I have no memory of ever saving you."

Upon hearing her denial, a complex emotion flashed in Jing Min's eyes.

He initially wanted to argue that it wasn't the last time they met.

The last time he saw her was when he went to see her dance at the school anniversary gala... and then the scene of her throwing herself into Yang Jinchu's arms.

But he swallowed those words in the end, his expression darkening slightly.

He said in a low voice:

"Indeed, based on your memory, this seems impossible."

“But I’m not lying to you. I really did see you in that lost memory.”

Looking at his confident expression, Chu Wuyang couldn't help but sneer, her tone tinged with disbelief:

"I think you're just trying to fool me. Don't think I'll believe you just because you're twisting the truth."

She wasn't bitten by a snake at the time, and she heard it clearly. Not only her, but also Li Yan and the other medical staff were there.

Seeing her disbelieving expression, Jing Min frowned slightly, his tone carrying a hint of helplessness and insistence:

"Be good, let me finish."

Chu Wuyang was taken aback by his tone.

But I didn't interrupt him, waiting for him to continue.

Jing Min opened his mouth, as if to say something.

But then he suddenly glanced at her.

A hint of guilt and hesitation flashed in his eyes.

He looked down at his toes, as if organizing his thoughts, and after a long while, he looked up at her with a hint of caution.

"that is……"

Chu Wuyang, seeing that he hadn't responded for a while, said somewhat impatiently

"What? What is it?"

He was stammering and hesitant; she felt he had become a completely different person.

Jing Min hesitated for a moment, as if there was something he found difficult to say, his tone carrying a hint of probing:

"Then... I've told you, so please don't be angry or overthink it, okay?"

He took a deep breath, his voice low and slow:

"Well... after being bitten by a snake, I thought I was hallucinating. But after thinking about it carefully, it felt more like a vague memory."

“In my memory… you appeared, seemingly wanting to get close to me… but then, your face suddenly turned into Yun Yang’s face.”

He paused here, glancing up to secretly observe Chu Wuyang's expression, as if worried about her reaction.

He lowered his voice even further:

“I found it strange at the time, but because I only saw Yunyang, I subconsciously called out, ‘Yunyang, where is she?’ Actually, ‘Where is she?’ meant… you.”

Chu Wuyang had been listening attentively, but when he heard the last sentence, a cold look appeared on his face.

Although Jingmin's explanation sounded somewhat reasonable, she did not overlook another thing—there was actually someone in his "memory" who had a close relationship with him.

She gave a cold laugh:

"So, Yunyang said you took away her innocence, but you also proved that she wasn't the one who saved you. And you just said that in your hallucinations or memories, someone was intimate with you... Doesn't that mean that the person who saved you was actually someone else, and you took away their innocence?"

Jing Min had tried her best to obscure this detail, but she still managed to catch it precisely.

He was immediately rendered speechless, yet had to admit:

"Indeed...it's possible."

He nodded with difficulty.

Chu Wuyang's expression changed instantly. She coldly shook off his hand and walked forward, completely ignoring him.

Jing Min's heart sank. He immediately chased after her, blocking her path, and hurriedly explained:

"I know this sounds absurd, but is it possible... that this person is actually you?"
