Chapter 218 The Cruise Ship Appears

The atmosphere among them was somber.

Zhou Chen called the club manager over to ask if there were any activities to pass the time.

The manager said with a smile:

"Young Master Zhou, Young Master Lu from Xingyao Jewelry is organizing a card game, and I hear the stakes are quite interesting."

Zhou Chen raised an eyebrow and smiled:

"When you're down on your luck in love, you're probably on your luck in gambling."

He proposed:

"How about we go check it out and play a couple of rounds?"

Rong Yu shrugged and smiled:

"Sure, I'll give it a try."

Zhuo Qun nodded in agreement.

Jingmin didn't speak, but he didn't object either.

The group then followed Zhou Chen away, heading towards the card game.

As soon as the group entered,

The spoiled young men around the card table all stood up to greet him.

His face was full of smiles.

"Oh, Young Master Zhou is here! We have a very important guest today!"

"Brother Chen, what a rare guest! It's an honor for us to come, even though you're so busy!"

"President Jing is here too? That's rare, we don't see you usually!"

Lu Xingyao stood in the main seat, slowly turning the chips with his fingers, a smile playing on his lips:

"What a lively scene! With such distinguished guests here, this place is truly a hit!"

After the four people sat down, Lu Xingyao invited them to start the game.

The group casually drew a few cards, and the atmosphere gradually warmed up.

At first, the betting at the poker table was relatively "normal".

They added hundreds of thousands of bets at a time.

But after only a few rounds...

Zhou Chen then started betting heavily, raising the stakes to millions without batting an eye.

"Young Master Zhou is having a lucky day, spending so generously."

Lu Xingyao joked with a smile, but a hint of surprise flashed in his eyes.

"My luck wasn't great, but I was in a bad mood, so I was looking for some fun."

Zhou Chen smiled nonchalantly, casually pushing another pile of chips to the center of the table, his tone lazy yet provocative:

"Are you going to join or not? If not, then shut up."

Lu Xingyao raised an eyebrow, his smile deepening. He pondered for a moment and then pushed over an equal amount of chips:

"Play with Young Master Zhou for a bit."

At this moment, Jing Min suddenly spoke up, his tone cold yet impossible to ignore:

"double!"

As he spoke, he threw out a handful of chips, piling them up on the table until they glittered.

The scene fell silent instantly.

The group of spoiled young masters, who had been just playing around, were stunned.

Someone muttered under their breath:

"That's too ruthless! They just dump tens of millions like that. Our chips aren't even enough to compete with that..."

"As expected of President Jing, this is truly a grand occasion!"

Some people smacked their lips, their eyes full of envy.

Rong Yu smiled and joined in the fun:

"Alright, I'll join in too. Maybe I can turn things around today."

He casually tossed a stack of chips in.

Zhuo Qun, slightly cautious, smiled and shook his head:

"Forget it, you guys have fun, I'll just join in the fun. This place is too big, I'm afraid I can't handle it."

In the following rounds,

Zhou Chen and Jing Min completely took control, betting higher and higher without any hesitation.

Jing Min, in particular, had a cold expression and his movements were crisp and decisive, as if he were venting some kind of suppressed emotion.

"President Jing is really ruthless. He dares to bet so big before the cards have even been dealt."

One person sighed softly, his tone filled with awe.

"I've seen it all. We usually play big games at this place, but today I've learned what a real big deal is."

Zhou Chen tossed down a stack of chips, beaming with joy:

"Let's have a blast! Nobody holds back today!"

Jing Min glanced at him, her tone indifferent:

"Play your card!"

The game escalated, but the players had clearly lost interest.

The stakes kept rising, and the chips on the table piled higher and higher.

But the atmosphere gradually cooled down and even became a bit boring.

Zhou Chen casually fiddled with the chips in front of him, a hint of impatience on his lips:

"This is boring, Lu Xingyao. Aren't you supposed to be the most playboy in all of Haicheng? Don't you have any other entertainment? That's all you're good for!"

His contempt was palpable, yet his eyes inadvertently swept over Jing Min.

It seems that the two of them have gotten a little tired of playing.

Jing Min coldly curled his lip:

"It really isn't very interesting."

Lu Xingyao's relaxed smile froze for a moment.

A subtle, almost imperceptible awkwardness then surfaced.

He knew perfectly well that these bigwigs didn't take the betting seriously at all, and he had clearly failed to arouse their interest.

But wanting to curry favor, he suppressed his smile.

He bowed his head and whispered instructions to the person beside him:

"Clear the area!"

A hint of doubt flashed in Zhou Chen's eyes as he looked up at Lu Xingyao.

He looked furtive, as if he were plotting something, then spoke with a mysterious smile:

"Please be patient, everyone, just a moment."

The group watched with boredom as the guests gradually left, and the atmosphere suddenly became empty.

Only a few of them were sitting around the table.

Once the area was cleared, Lu Xingyao finally spoke slowly, his tone carrying a hint of deeper meaning:

"Everyone, do you know that 'Royal Shadow' cruise ship?"

As soon as he spoke,

Jing Min's expression tightened slightly.

Rong Yu and Zhuo Qun exchanged a glance, but neither of them readily spoke.

Zhou Chen asked casually:

"What do you mean? Is it fun to have fun on the cruise ship?"

Seeing that Zhou Chen showed some interest, Lu Xingyao couldn't hide his smugness:

"Interesting, of course it's interesting."

He paused, lowering his voice as if afraid someone would overhear:

"The 'Royal Shadow' is touted as the world's most luxurious cruise ship, operated by the Atlantean Royal Estate. On the surface, it provides a luxurious experience for the ultra-wealthy—golden casinos, private island parties, deep-sea diving, and all sorts of other activities."
