The atmosphere inside the RV was like solidified air, so stuffy it was suffocating.
Chu Wuyang's mind was in complete turmoil. What Zhou Heng said was too outrageous, and she couldn't accept it at all.
Five years ago?
The girl being auctioned off?
She had no memory of this at all!
She tried to calm her racing heart, her tone cold and hard:
Are you making this up?
“I have absolutely no recollection of these things ever happening.”
Zhou Heng sighed softly, glanced down at his watch, and didn't rush to answer.
It's like they're waiting for something.
Chu Wuyang's inner alarm bells were ringing loudly.
She couldn't understand what Zhou Heng was trying to do; he was just staring at the time, his face expressionless.
While he was distracted, she quietly reached into her pocket for her phone.
But her fingers had barely touched the phone
As if he had a sixth sense, Zhou Heng quickly snatched her phone away.
"Wait a little longer."
He spoke with a hint of apology, glancing down at her phone before setting it aside.
Make sure it's out of her reach.
Chu Wuyang suppressed her anger and looked at him coldly:
"Wait for what?"
Zhou Heng did not answer, his gaze falling again on the watch.
It's as if they're waiting for a specific moment to arrive.
Several minutes passed, and the only sound in the carriage was their breathing.
Finally, Zhou Heng slowly raised his eyes, stared at Chu Wuyang, and asked calmly:
How are you feeling now?
Chu Wuyang was baffled by his question, and her brows furrowed even more.
"What's the meaning?"
Zhou Heng stared into her eyes, as if searching for some clue:
"Did anything come to mind?"
Chu Wuyang's patience was completely worn out, and he said coldly:
"Zhou Heng, I don't care how you got out, but you've already committed a crime and taken me hostage. Don't make another mistake!"
Zhou Heng, however, seemed not to hear her threat, and continued to mutter to himself:
"You weren't given any drugs back then?"
Chu Wuyang's heart skipped a beat, and she asked warily:
"What?"
Zhou Heng's gaze fell on the cup she had just drunk from, his expression somewhat complicated, and he slowly said:
"There was medicine in the water you just drank."
Chu Wuyang's eyes instantly turned cold, his fists clenched, and his face was filled with anger:
"I should never have trusted someone like you!"
Zhou Heng looked up at her, his tone still gentle:
"Don't panic, it's not poison, it's an antidote."
He explained slowly:
"You should know what drug was involved in the experiment mentioned in the report, right?"
Chu Wuyang's inner alarm bells rang loudly.
She felt Zhou Heng was threatening her, so she ignored him and coldly turned her face away.
Zhou Heng didn't mind and continued:
“I originally thought that the reason you didn’t remember what happened five years ago was because you were given drugs.”
"But you took the antidote just now, and there was no reaction at all..."
His eyes darkened slightly.
“I don’t know why, but I’m sure you’ve been on the ‘Royal Shadow’.”
Chu Wuyang did not respond, remaining outwardly indifferent and disdainful, but her heart felt as if it were being gripped tightly by something.
She thought of Jing Min—he had been given the drug years ago, but the effects were unexpectedly neutralized by snake venom.
It should be... the inhuman drug from Zhou Heng's lab.
Zhou Heng's voice was deep, carrying a certain certainty:
"Although I don't understand why you have no reaction, I'm certain that you are the girl who disappeared back then."
Chu Wuyang still ignored him, but her fingertips tightened slightly, her heart churning.
Zhou Heng leaned back in his chair, sighing with a half-smile:
"You still don't believe me?"
He picked up a glass of wine and pushed it towards her:
"Drink it."
Chu Wuyang sneered:
"I'm not stupid."
Zhou Heng's tone was indifferent:
"There is no poison or antidote in this; it's just ordinary wine."
She stared at him with a cold gaze:
Do you still think you have any credibility?
Zhou Heng looked at her calmly and said indifferently:
"Do you have a choice? Besides, I said I wouldn't hurt you. I tested you just now, but ultimately I didn't do anything to hurt you."
"This glass of wine... drink it, and I will answer all your questions."
Chu Wuyang paused for a moment, hesitated for a second, and finally took the wine glass and drank it all in one gulp.
Seeing her drink it, Zhou Heng's eyes flickered, and he suddenly squatted down and reached out to touch her leg.
Chu Wuyang's heart skipped a beat, and she immediately shrank back, saying sharply:
"What are you doing?!"
Zhou Heng's tone was indifferent:
“I just wanted to see the back of your knees.”
Chu Wuyang's vigilance was at its highest.
She no longer trusts Zhou Heng at all and stares at him intently, refusing to move.
Zhou Heng was silent for a few seconds, seemingly deep in thought, before speaking softly:
"do you remember?"
“That time we were drinking, I mentioned that you had a tattoo on your leg, but you didn’t believe it yourself.”
"Since you don't believe me, let's verify it now."
Before he finished speaking, he immediately opened his phone's camera.
She reached out and grabbed Chu Wuyang's left leg, quickly pushing her skirt up.
Chu Wuyang immediately resisted.
But her strength was no match for Zhou Heng's; he moved swiftly, catching her off guard.
He had already lifted her skirt up to her knees and quickly snapped a photo of the back of her knees.
Chu Wuyang was about to struggle.
He had already let go, his movements as calm as if he were performing some kind of medical examination.
She glared at him fiercely, her hands trembling with anger.
