Chapter 238 Mr. Jin Demands a Divorce

In the CEO's office, afternoon sunlight streamed through the floor-to-ceiling windows, casting the city skyline onto the glass.

Jing Min sat behind his desk, his long, slender fingers casually flipping through the documents, his expression indifferent.

"President Jing."

Yan Zhou pushed open the door and entered, holding his phone in his hand, his brows slightly furrowed.

"Grandpa Jin just called."

Upon hearing this, Jing Min paused slightly in his work, his hand still tracing the documents. He then looked up, his gaze calm.

Didn't answer?

"yes."

Yan Zhou nodded truthfully.

"As you instructed, I will not answer any calls from the Jin family unless you specifically request it."

Jing Min tapped his fingertips casually on the table, his voice low and deep:

"Um!"

Yan Zhou lowered his eyes, but did not leave immediately. Instead, he paused and slowly said:

"However, Mr. Jing, Mr. Jin's contact with you this time is probably not just about holding him accountable."

Jing Min raised an eyebrow, glancing at him casually, seemingly unconcerned:

"oh?"

Yan Zhou looked at him, his tone softening slightly.

"As expected, Jin Zhuoer couldn't prevent the family's internal strife. It's been confirmed that his leg is broken and his face is disfigured. Basically... he's completely ruined."

A brief silence fell over the air.

A moment later, Jing Min chuckled, his voice extremely low, carrying a hint of coldness that was difficult to decipher:

"Ha, the fight is going faster than I expected."

Yan Zhou did not agree.

Instead, he paused slightly.

"That's why the Jin family no longer has a suitable candidate to head the family."

He looked at Jing Min, his gaze deep and thoughtful.

"So, Mr. Jin probably didn't come to you to interrogate you,"

"Instead... we want you to return to the Jin family."

Jing Min's smile slowly faded, and his brows furrowed slightly.

"Old Master Jin has sent several letters through intermediaries, wanting to discuss terms with you in person."

Yan Zhou continued,

"What do you think?"

Jing Min raised his eyes, his gaze falling on Yan Zhou. He slowly curved his lips into a smile, his tone languid and indifferent.

"not see!"

Yan Zhou lowered his eyes and nodded respectfully.

"clear."

——

When Jingmin returned home,

The maid was standing in front of the flower stand in the living room, carefully adjusting the angle of a bunch of white camellias.

His previously casual steps paused slightly.

His gaze fell on the cluster of flowers, his expression inscrutable.

"These flowers..."

His voice was slightly lowered, revealing no emotion.

"Did your wife bring this back?"

The maid was taken aback, then nodded respectfully:

"Yes, sir, your wife brought it back with her when she came back."

Jing Min narrowed his eyes.

His gaze lingered on the cluster of white camellias for a second, and his fingertips unconsciously tightened for a moment.

He was silent for a moment, then suddenly spoke softly:

"Remember what I said last time?"

The maid nodded quickly:

"I remember, Mr. Jing, I will dry them and make them into flower tea, and collect them separately."

Jing Min nodded slightly, seemingly satisfied. He glanced at the cluster of flowers again with a deep look in his eyes before stepping upstairs.

——

In the bedroom, Chu Wuyang leaned back on the sofa, her fingertips gently rubbing her knees.

The scene inside the train carriage an hour ago flashed through my mind.

...

Chu Wuyang sat quietly in the back seat, her face calm, her fingertips resting on her lap.

She turned her head to look at the old man opposite her—the person introduced him as Jingmin's maternal grandfather.

Mr. Jin was wearing a dark long gown with understated gold thread embroidery on the cuffs.

Leaning on an exquisitely carved emerald cane, she sat upright in a dark red leather chair.

His gaze was deep.

With a kind, ambiguous smile on his face, he looked like a gentle elder.

But those eyes were as calm and deep as the sea, unfathomable.

A moment of silence followed.

He spoke first, his tone unhurried and measured, carrying the air of a family elder:

"Miss Chu, it's a pleasure to meet you. You are more composed than I expected."

Chu Wuyang smiled calmly:

"After all, you personally 'invited' me to get in the car. I think even if I couldn't hold back, I probably wouldn't have any other choice."

Jingmin rarely mentioned his maternal grandparents' family; in fact, she had never heard him mention the Jin family on his own initiative.

Regarding his relationship with the Jin family, information was limited to a few words from Old Madam Jiang.

Although I didn't investigate further, I could still sense the distance between us.

Upon hearing this, Old Master Jin chuckled softly and tapped the ground lightly with his cane.

"You're a clever girl, no wonder Jingmin is so fond of you."

Chu Wuyang didn't want to continue the conversation, her tone restrained and distant:

"You, why did you come to see me? Please just say so."

Grandpa Jin's smile remained unchanged as he slowly said:

"Then I won't beat around the bush."

"I hope you will take the initiative to divorce Jingmin."

The air fell silent for a few seconds...

Chu Wuyang's fingers tightened slightly, then she looked up at him, a hint of sarcasm in her eyes:

Are you ordering me around?

Grandpa Jin picked up his teacup, took a small sip, and remained calm and composed.

How could that be?

"It's just a collaboration."

Chu Wuyang sneered, her tone calm but impolite:

"cooperate?"

"To me, it sounds more like a threat?"

Old Master Jin put down his teacup, and a sharp glint finally appeared in his eyes:

"Are you aware that Zhou Heng's matter has already plunged the Chu family into turmoil?"

"Although the Chu family has deep roots in Haicheng, they may not be able to withstand such a scandal."

"If I cause any more trouble for the Chu family because of your stubbornness... then,"
