As night fell, the private jet hovered silently at an altitude of ten thousand meters.
Outside the window, clouds churned, while inside the porthole, the light was soft.
Chu Wuyang, wrapped in a blanket, sat on the large sofa, her gaze fixed on Jing Min not far away.
He hadn't stopped working since he boarded the plane; he had been handling official business the whole time.
He is now standing in front of the conference table, his suit jacket casually draped over the back of the chair, the sleeves rolled up to reveal his muscular forearms.
His brows furrowed, and his fingers moved deftly through the documents.
He occasionally exchanged brief and precise instructions with the person on the other end of the video conference.
Chu Wuyang stared at him for a long time.
She had thought this trip would be a real relaxation, but little did she expect that as soon as she boarded the private jet...
Jingmin then threw himself into his busy work, as if it were just a continuation of his daily life.
"Let's leave it at that for now, we'll talk more when we get there."
Jingmin finally ended the meeting, reached out and took off his Bluetooth headset, letting out a long sigh of relief.
He raised his hand to press his temples, and then his gaze fell on Chu Wuyang in the corner.
Why aren't you asleep?
He walked over, his voice low and weary, one hand resting on the back of the sofa, leaning slightly down to look at her.
Chu Wuyang raised her eyes, her gaze somewhat helpless:
"We're here on vacation, not on a business trip."
Jing Min chuckled softly, reached out and pinched her chin, his tone carrying a hint of coaxing:
"Sorry, we won't be able to handle these things once we're in Switzerland."
She glanced at him but didn't say anything.
Jingmin looked at her, then suddenly reached out and pulled her into his arms.
With a long arm, he trapped the person directly on the sofa.
He leaned against her shoulder, his tone languid:
"The flight is still long, want to sleep with me for a while?"
Chu Wuyang felt the warmth emanating from him and struggled slightly.
In the end, she didn't push him away, and sighed softly:
"I'm so busy, yet I still have time to be cozy."
Jing Min chuckled softly, his voice slightly hoarse:
"Who told you to stand here and watch me?"
The plane continued its journey through the night sky, and the cabin gradually quieted down. Jing Min quickly drifted into a light sleep.
Chu Wuyang lowered her eyes, looking at his tired brows and eyes.
In the end, she gently covered him with the blanket and closed her eyes.
The private jet slowly landed at Zurich Airport; the Swiss night was quiet and chilly.
Jing Min held Chu Wuyang's hand in one hand.
With his other hand casually draped over his coat, the collar slightly open, he exuded a touch of lazy elegance.
He glanced down at the woman beside him and noticed that she had hunched her shoulders in the cold air when she got off the plane.
He then took off his coat and draped it over her shoulders, his tone slightly coaxing:
"Just bear with it for now, it'll be fine once we get to the hotel."
Chu Wuyang, wrapped in his coat and inhaling the lingering scent of cedarwood, couldn't help but let out a soft hum.
"You call it a trip, but all I saw along the way was you being busy."
Jingmin heard the complaint in her words, chuckled softly, tightened his grip on her hand, and looked at her sideways:
"Okay, once we get to the hotel, I won't care about anything else, I'll just stay with you."
She glanced at him but didn't say anything.
——
We stayed at one of the most luxurious resort hotels at the foot of the Alps.
The high ceilings and floor-to-ceiling windows face the snow-capped mountains, and the brilliant starry sky is reflected among the snow-covered peaks, creating a scene reminiscent of a fairy tale world.
Chu Wuyang stood by the window, captivated by the view before her, and couldn't help but sigh softly:
"This place is so beautiful."
Behind her, Jing Min casually untied his watch, loosened his tie, walked over, wrapped his arms around her waist, rested his chin on her shoulder, and said in a deep voice:
"like?"
"certainly."
She nodded gently.
Jing Min slightly curved his lips, tightened his grip on her arm, and whispered in her ear:
"Then let's stay here for a few more days."
Chu Wuyang was about to say something,
The landline in the room suddenly rang. Jing Min answered it casually, listened for a few words, and then raised an eyebrow at her:
"I received an invitation to a global financial summit at this hotel, and the organizers hope I will attend tomorrow."
Chu Wuyang paused for a moment, then narrowed his eyes:
So you're going to work?
Jing Min chuckled, hooking her chin with his long fingers, his tone gentle:
"If you don't agree, I won't go."
She knew he was teasing her.
"Then let's go."
Jing Min raised an eyebrow, then lowered his head and placed a light kiss on her lips:
"Together"
The reception following the summit was held in the hotel's banquet hall, where crystal chandeliers glittered, string music played softly, and guests gathered in small groups.
Amidst the clinking of glasses and lively conversation, everyone was engaged in lively discussions.
Chu Wuyang wore a black dress that was exquisite and elegant, and her slender shoulders and waist looked even more charming under the soft lights.
She stood in a lounge area of the side hall, holding a wine glass.
They were waiting for Jing Min to finish his conversation with a European tycoon.
Not far away, a tall white man stared at her for a while, his eyes filled with scrutiny and interest.
Finally, he walked over slowly, carrying two glasses of wine.
"Miss,"
The man spoke in slightly accented English, a smile playing on his lips.
Are you alone?
Chu Wuyang smiled politely but did not respond.
The man didn't seem to mind, and with a flick of his wrist, handed her a glass of red wine, his tone deliberately friendly:
"This wine is a vintage wine from the hotel's collection; it would be a shame to miss it."
Chu Wuyang glanced down at the glass of wine, about to politely decline...
The man suddenly chuckled softly, his tone carrying a hint of probing:
"Actually, I noticed you just now... A lady as beautiful as you shouldn't be standing here alone."
She frowned slightly, about to speak,
Suddenly she felt a weight around her waist, and a familiar scent, carrying a faint fragrance of cedarwood, enveloped her.
