"Then, I'll have to trouble you, Madam."
After Chu Wuyang responded politely, she looked at Jing Min.
"Then, shall I go and rest for a bit?"
Jingmin walked over, touched her forehead, and asked...
"If you're not feeling well, can we go back first?"
Chu Wuyang glanced at the earnest looks from the people behind him and immediately realized that their business hadn't been finished.
Chu Wuyang shook his head.
"It's okay, you go ahead and do your thing, come pick me up when you're done."
Jing Min chuckled softly, his fingers lingeringly stroking her cheek before kissing her forehead.
"good!"
Chu Wuyang then followed Mrs. Michel out of the reception room.
Mrs. Michelle still wore a flattering smile.
"Mrs. Jing, the rooms on this floor are quiet and comfortable; you can relax here."
They walked through a magnificent corridor, passed through a wooden door, and entered a slightly quieter passageway.
But as they passed through the hall, a sudden burst of enthusiastic noise rushed towards them.
Music and laughter rose and fell in waves.
Sharp laughter and playful shouts could be heard from time to time.
"Oh, I'm sorry, Mrs. Jing, did the sound startle you?"
Mrs. Michel explained with a smile, though a hint of barely concealed embarrassment lingered.
"Those were some friends my son invited. They're young people, so it's nice to have some fun sometimes."
Chu Wuyang didn't show much reaction, simply shaking her head slightly.
"fine."
She answered calmly, but something felt off.
The sharpness and audacity of the voice seemed particularly jarring.
It was like a deliberate commotion, completely out of place with the surrounding elegance.
