The atmosphere inside the reception room remained serious.
Even when facing several senior officials, Jing Min's tone remained calm and indifferent.
Yet it leaves no room for rebuttal.
"Mr. Congressman, regarding the new energy project you proposed, I think we can discuss it further."
"However, it is clearly not advisable to make a hasty decision now."
"The market changes too fast,"
"If we rush into the market, it could affect the long-term plans of both of us."
The high-ranking officials exchanged glances.
Carefully considering his words,
Jingmin calmly swirled the red wine in his glass.
But my attention began to wander.
He involuntarily looked out the window.
A strange sense of unease began to rise in his heart—Chu Wuyang hadn't appeared in his sight for some time.
Finally, he put down his cup.
He got up gently.
He politely addressed the high-ranking officials present:
"Everyone, that concludes our discussion for today."
"My wife seems to be feeling unwell; I need to go check on her."
The high-ranking officials looked at each other in bewilderment.
Although I was a little reluctant to leave
But everyone knows that Jingmin's attitude won't change easily.
Fortunately, they knew that Jingmin would not be staying here for a short time.
We can only pin our hopes on the next round of negotiations.
So everyone nodded in agreement, indicating their understanding.
"Mr. Jing, your wife's health is the most important thing. Let's continue this discussion another day."
Jingmin nodded in thanks.
He then stepped out of the conference room, and Li Yan followed immediately.
The two walked through the ornate corridor,
Jingmin's pace quickened.
His business acumen and detachment had long since vanished, replaced only by worry for his wife.
Mrs. Michel led him to a door, which she gently pushed open.
The interior decoration is extremely luxurious, and the furnishings are exquisite, yet they do not appear out of place at all.
Jingmin was about to step inside,
Suddenly I sensed something was wrong.
The house was empty.
The silence made him wary.
"Mrs. Jing was resting here just now."
Mrs. Michel looked around, puzzled.
"They might have gone out for a walk. I'll ask around to see if anyone has seen them?"
She turned and beckoned the maid to come in.
The maid walked nervously into the room, looked at Mrs. Michelle and Jing Min, and whispered her report:
"Young Master Qiao An has invited Mrs. Jing to the party."
Jing Min asked coldly
What party?
"Mr. Jing, there's no need to rush. It's just a gathering of some friends my son invited to his home."
"They're all young people"
“Since Mrs. Jing also went to the party, you don’t need to worry about it,”
"It's good for everyone to talk business here. It's also normal for young girls to enjoy a little fun."
Mrs. Michelle's words carried a deliberate lightness.
To ease Jingmin's tension,
His tone was filled with slight resistance.
She tried to help her husband bring Jingmin back to the unfinished negotiation table.
Jing Min's patience ran out, and his face turned cold.
He suppressed his unease but maintained a calm demeanor.
"Mrs. Michelle, thank you for your kindness!"
"Please lead the way!"
Seeing Jing Min's resolute attitude, Michelle couldn't stop him any longer.
She nodded slightly and waved for the servant beside her to lead the way.
The maid walked cautiously ahead, leading Jingmin through several corridors.
Finally, it stopped in front of a luxurious door.
The music coming from outside was almost deafening.
The air was filled with a pungent aroma.
Jingmin pushed open the door.
In an instant,
He even felt that everything went black before his eyes, and his mind went blank.
Chu Wuyang was locked in a cage, her clothes disheveled, her hands bound, her face pale, and her eyes clearly showing unease.
She was surrounded by a group of scantily clad men and women, who were shouting, laughing, and pointing at her.
His eyes were filled with malice and contempt.
Jing Min's gaze was fixed intently on her.
Almost instantly,
He felt as if he were engulfed in flames.
His eyes were bloodshot, and you could almost see the burning flames of anger within them.
His steps quickened involuntarily, anger surged within him, and the strength in his hands seemed uncontrollable.
I desperately want to tear everything in front of me apart.
Joan, slightly drunk, reached her hand into the cage, wanting to touch Chu Wuyang.
When Chu Wuyang saw that hand, like a demon beckoning, reach in,
Terrified, she tried to dodge, but the space was so small that she had nowhere to hide.
Just when all hope was lost,
A crisp sound of bones cracking rang out.
Joanne let out a painful scream that drowned out the deafening music.
He was in so much pain he could barely stand, and his face was contorted in agony.
"You dare touch her?"
Jing Min's voice was as cold as ice from hell, carrying an overwhelming pressure.
Almost the instant his words fell,
Mrs. Michelle screamed in terror.
He then fainted and fell to the ground.
at the same time,
Several bodyguards quickly drew their guns, pointing them at Jing Min, attempting to stop him.
The atmosphere was about to explode...
Li Yan also drew his gun without hesitation.
He stood in front of Jing Min, adopting a defensive stance.
Jing Min glanced at him disdainfully and directly pushed Li Yan aside.
He coldly surveyed the armed men and walked forward at a leisurely pace.
His gaze was icy, his eyes radiating a suffocating murderous intent.
The bodyguards who had their guns pointed at him instantly felt a sense of oppression.
Their fingers trembled slightly on the trigger, yet they never dared to pull it.
