Chapter 320 Exposure

Chu Wuyang left the mall, deliberately choosing the rush hour.

Taking advantage of the gaps in the crowd, they deftly bypassed several exits.

I hid behind a pillar at the corner for a few seconds.

Then, take the escalator from a nearby shopping mall down to the underground passage.

She didn't go far before changing direction and returning to the ground.

Enter a small, niche cafe facing the street through another side door.

The shop wasn't crowded, and the lighting was dim and warm.

She chose a seat by the window, took off her long trench coat and draped it over the back of the chair.

She calmly looked out the window—not far from the street corner,

The three familiar figures had gathered together, whispering nervously to each other.

One of them looked clearly troubled, hesitated for a moment, and then took out his phone to make a call.

Chu Wuyang took her phone out of her bag, placed it directly on the table, and casually ordered a cup of black coffee.

Fingers tapped slowly on the table—once, twice, three times…

Sure enough, the phone lit up quietly.

She glanced at it; it was a familiar number. The string of numbers on the screen seemed like an ironic footnote.

She didn't intend to answer.

Sure enough, the phone hung up automatically, but then rang again very quickly.

She still didn't take it, her fingers slowly tracing the inside of the cup, her knuckles distinct, her fingertips slightly cool.

The phone rang repeatedly, then stopped and automatically hung up. I don't know how many times it rang before it finally stopped ringing.

Chu Wuyang remained quiet throughout.

When the waiter brought the coffee, she picked it up as if to put it in her mouth, but then suddenly stopped and placed it gently on the table.

His face showed no obvious expression, but his gaze remained fixed on the shop entrance.

I glanced at the time on my phone.

His fingers were still tapping lightly on the table, as if he were calculating the time.

It's like a countdown.

A short while later, a rather loud commotion came from the entrance of the coffee shop.

The glass door was suddenly pushed open.

The wind chimes at the door jingled softly, followed by the hurried sound of leather shoes hitting the ground.

Jingmin strode in.

His sharply tailored dark gray suit accentuated his tall, slender figure, broad shoulders, narrow waist, and well-defined lines.

Beneath his slightly disheveled black hair, a barely perceptible anxiety flickered across his usually cold and aloof face.

A few strands of wet hair clung to her forehead, clearly indicating she had rushed over.

Even so, the oppressive aura emanating from him remained undiminished—powerful and clean, much like a falcon that commands the capital market.

His appearance instantly attracted the attention of the entire coffee shop.

The already small shop seemed to fall silent for a moment.

The couple reading by the window looked up.

The waiter instinctively put away the tray.

Even the customers who were ordering hesitated for a moment.

His gaze swept across the area and quickly locked onto a spot by the window against the wall.

Chu Wuyang was sitting there.

He rested his chin on one hand and placed the other on the table, as if he had been waiting for a long time.

Why aren't you answering the phone?

Jingmin walked over quickly, his voice low but unable to hide his tense emotions.

His expression darkened when he saw the coffee on her desk.

Pregnant women should not...it is generally not recommended to drink black coffee.

He seemed to have sensed something, and his words became unconsciously carefully chosen.

Chu Wuyang slowly raised her eyes, her gaze meeting his, but a sarcastic smile played on her lips.

"But I haven't moved!"

Jing Min sat down, his expression stiffening as he looked at her brightly lit phone on the table, his tone revealing concern.

"Why didn't you answer the phone? You have no idea how worried I was!"

Chu Wuyang's expression remained calm.

"Eight phone calls, arriving within three minutes... precise and swift,"

She looked out the window, lifting her chin slightly.

"Isn't everything under your control? What's there to worry about?"

Jingmin followed her gaze—

Those three idiots still haven't left?

He frantically reported on the phone that he had lost her. He wasn't sure if he was just panicking, but he didn't consider that bombarding her phone might arouse her suspicion. Only after repeatedly failing to get through did he force himself to calm down.

I only relaxed after checking her phone's location and finding it perfectly in one spot.

But even knowing their place, they couldn't sit still.

Who knows if Yang Jinchu is taking this opportunity to get closer to her again?

With that in mind, he rushed over without hesitation.

Seeing that she was sitting properly with no one else around, he felt relieved but also a little uneasy.

We've been exposed!

She tested and verified it.

How could that be?

Who was it? He was already being very careful.

Jingmin's breath hitched, and he was about to speak when...

Chu Wuyang stood up immediately.

"Let's go, Mr. Jing."

Jing Min thought he had misheard, and his tone was clearly annoyed, but he had to keep his voice down because they were still outside.

What did you call me?

Chu Wuyang ignored him and simply pushed open the door and went out. His car was parked conspicuously on the side of the road.

She opened the car door and got in. Jing Min entered the driver's seat from the other side, and as soon as he got in, he asked her questions.

What do you mean by calling me that?

Chu Wuyang spoke in a calm tone, but her eyes were like ice water.

"It doesn't mean anything special, don't overthink it, Mr. Jing!"

Does this mean you're trying to distance yourself from him?

Jing Min's brows furrowed. "You..."

Chu Wuyang stared ahead with a cold expression.

Do you still have a job?

Jingmin's tone was cool.

A meeting has been cancelled.

Chu Wuyang's tone was very calm and even, with little variation.

"Drive! We'll talk when we get back,"

"I don't want to argue outside, and you'd better control your emotions, otherwise what if something goes wrong with the child you've been waiting for..."

Jingmin interrupted him angrily.

"You're going to make a scene with me because of outsiders? And even curse your own child?"

He still doesn't know where she got the information from,

But he knew that the mere fact that she was being "monitored" was not enough to cause her to develop such obvious hostility towards him.

Jing Min's heart sank, and she vaguely guessed that she probably already knew that he was the one who orchestrated the marriage between the Wen family and the Yang family.

Only that man could elicit such a strong reaction from her, and even he became the object of her cold indifference.

Is it because you feel sorry for Yang Jinchu, who is forced to marry a woman he doesn't love?

Or... does she still have feelings for Yang Jinchu?

Regardless of whether this lingering affection involves a romantic relationship,

To him, they were all glaring eyes, intolerable obstacles.
