Jingmin stood in front of the floor-to-ceiling window of the study on the third floor, his hands in his pockets, coldly watching the car, fully loaded, slowly drive out of the villa gate and down the mountain road.
The glare from the car window stung his eyes; he lowered them, a cold glint in his eyes.
Slowly and deliberately, he took out his phone and held it to his ear, his voice low and cold.
"The contract isn't finalized yet?"
The tone on the other end of the phone was cautious.
"It has already been sent to Jin Xuan's agency. His agent may have already spoken to him, but we haven't received a definite reply yet."
Jing Min pursed his thin lips, a cold glint in his eyes.
"Won't put pressure on you?"
Upon hearing this, there was an instant silence on the other end of the phone.
Even through the microphone, you could feel the boss's impatience and the oppressive atmosphere.
Yan Zhou held his breath and quickly responded.
"I understand, I will get them to make a decision as soon as possible."
Jing Min chuckled, hung up the phone, and murmured to himself.
"What is this?! Can't you even put things in their proper places?"
After hanging up the phone, Yan Zhou's face was sullen as he slowly exhaled and rubbed his temples.
Seeing this, Li Yan leaned closer and whispered,
"What's wrong? What troublesome matter has President Jing asked you to handle this time?"
Yan Zhou glanced at him sideways, not in a hurry to answer, but asked first.
"Do you know how far Mr. Jing's treatment has progressed?"
Li Yan was taken aback.
"Is Madam handling all of this?"
"Don't worry, Mrs. Jing cares about this even more than Mr. Jing himself does."
Yan Zhou frowned even more deeply and said in a low voice,
"That's not what I'm worried about."
Li Yan raised an eyebrow.
"Then what are you worried about?"
"What did President Jing just say?"
"Is it tricky?"
Yan Zhou slowly shook his head.
"It's not that it's difficult, it's just... don't you find it strange?"
"Did President Jing go to so much trouble and use so many resources just to send a minor celebrity abroad?"
Li Yan scoffed, giving a cold snort.
"What's so strange about it?"
"That guy is always hanging around his wife, he's such an eyesore."
"President Jing has already shown some restraint by giving him a taste of his own medicine."
“In the past, we wouldn’t have gone through all this trouble; we would have just taken action.”
Yan Zhou stared at him intently.
"That's the problem... Compared to the overall approach taken from a forward-looking perspective... do you really think that treatment is feasible?"
Li Yan did not hesitate.
"Of course, Dr. Lina is one of Parker's students. Her skills and loyalty are beyond question. You don't mean to doubt Parker, do you?"
Speak in a low voice during the day,
"It's not that I doubt Parker... it's just that I feel that President Jing... seems to be intentionally restraining himself."
Li Yan raised an eyebrow
