Inside the ward, the doctor had just finished examining Jin Xuan's wound. When the doctor moved his arm, Jin Xuan groaned in pain, and sweat beaded on his forehead.
Chu Wuyang panicked and wanted to go forward to check on the situation.
He kicked the chair leg and staggered.
"careful."
Yang Jinchu was standing not far away. With quick eyes and hands, he raised his hand and steadily supported her.
Just then,
The ward door clicked open.
Jingmin stood at the door and saw this scene.
His gaze darkened, and the emotions that surged within his eyes were suppressed with a fierce intensity, his knuckles turning white from clenching his fist.
He merely glanced at it indifferently and stepped inside.
The group all looked towards the doorway simultaneously.
Yang Jinchu subconsciously stopped.
Chu Wuyang suddenly turned to the side, seemingly unintentionally getting even closer.
Yang Jinchu paused for a moment, his eyes flashing, but he didn't look away, just quietly watching her.
From Jing Min's perspective, however, this scene resembled Yang Jinchu's provocative demonstration.
A barely perceptible, cold smile curled at the corner of his lips.
He casually approached, pulling Chu Wuyang into his arms. His hand rested on her waist, then naturally covered her abdomen. His tone was gentle, yet tinged with reproach.
"Can't you take care of yourself while taking care of a patient?"
"You're still pregnant, did you accidentally have another accident?"
As soon as he finished speaking, he glanced at Yang Jinchu and added, as if asserting his ownership,
"I'm sorry to trouble Mr. Yang again."
"Thank you for taking care of my wife and children while I was away."
Chu Wuyang's face showed undisguised annoyance, and she pushed Jing Min away without giving him any face.
"It's alright, Ah Jin isn't afraid of trouble."
Why are you here?
Jing Min's expression froze, and his face tightened even more.
He pursed his lips and didn't reply.
Yang Jinchu looked at the two of them awkwardly, unsure if they had argued again.
He glanced at the doctor, who had essentially finished examining Jin Xuan.
After confirming that there was nothing seriously wrong and only some superficial injuries remained, I just needed to rest. After the doctor gave me some instructions and left...
He took the initiative to break the deadlock and offer a reminder.
"Jin Xuan, it was President Jing who arranged for someone to rescue you from Thailand and even hired a top-notch medical team, which is why you recovered so quickly. You haven't thanked them yet."
Jin Xuan glanced over coldly, his tone disdainful.
"A crocodile's tears are a charade; who cares about his feigned kindness?"
He already knew that it was Jing Min's fake contract that had landed him in jail.
Li Yan, standing behind Jing Min, finally couldn't stand it anymore.
Since they returned to China, Mrs. Jing has never given him a kind look.
He said he wasn't upset or angry, but his behavior revealed his coldness and aloofness.
President Jing knew he was in the wrong and never tried to shirk responsibility.
Along the way, he patiently coaxed and compensated people, paid off the high breach of contract penalty for Jin Xuan, salvaged the brand image, ran to the media, suppressed public opinion, and spared no expense in spending money and resources.
For Jin Xuan's injury, he personally arranged the best medical team and kept a close eye on every step.
Mr. Jing has done everything he could, but all he got in return was this cold treatment.
Li Yan's face darkened, and he couldn't help but issue a warning.
"You better watch your language!"
"Li Yan!"
Jingmin whispered a warning to stop him.
Jin Xian's manager, Wei Ge, however, took advantage of the situation and became increasingly arrogant.
"Did our Xianxian say something wrong? She was just pretending to be kind."
Jing Min glanced over at once.
Viagra paused, seemingly intimidated, but still stubbornly muttered something.
"What kind of big corporation CEO is he? You can't judge a book by its cover. He's really despicable and vile. He's probably just jealous of our Xianxian."
Although the voice was soft, the ward was so quiet you could hear a pin drop.
Everyone heard it clearly.
One of his words struck a chord, and Jingmin's eyes instantly turned sinister.
Li Yan was utterly exasperated. When did they become so insignificant that they dared to discuss such things to each other's faces?
"What did you say? Say it again if you dare!"
Viagra, intimidated by his imposing aura, quickly hid behind Jin Xian, shouting...
"Oh no! Someone's going to kill me! Xuanxuan, save me!"
Li Yan stepped forward.
"You sissy, don't you dare run away!"
Viagra dodged and screamed at the same time.
"You think you can just run away and wait to be hit? You big guy!"
A farcical chase ensued, while the others in the room, each lost in their own thoughts, remained silent.
Jin Xuan originally wanted to get up and stop him,
"Viagra, don't move!"
But before he could finish speaking,
Viagra stumbled and landed directly on his leg, which was raised high and wrapped in gauze.
"ah--!"
Jin Xian let out a miserable scream.
Chu Wuyang's expression changed drastically, and he immediately rushed forward.
"How are you? Are you alright? I'll call the doctor!"
She quickly pressed the emergency call button for the ward.
Viagra was so frightened that he started crying, pointing his delicate finger at Li Yan.
"Oh, Xianxian, I didn't mean to. It's all this big guy's fault for not knowing his own strength. My poor Xianxian... old wounds haven't healed and now you've got new ones..."
Li Yan stood aside with disdain.
"You crashed into it yourself and then blame someone else?"
"Are you a man or a woman? Your crying sounds like a ghost, it's awful!"
"You dare to talk back to me!"
Viagra cried even harder.
"Don't you have any compassion? Xianxian is injured like this and you still have the nerve to make sarcastic remarks, you big guy, you big bad guy!"
Chu Wuyang carefully examined Jin Xuan's leg; the white gauze was already stained with blood.
She looked at Jin Xian, who was sweating profusely from the pain, and the wailing of Viagra in her ears made her brow twitch and her mind go blank.
"Shut up."
She let out a low growl.
Li Yan's rebuttal was cut short by her, and Wei Ge's sobbing also stopped abruptly.
