Over there, Ye Yuhe and Chu Han argued and fought as they chased after the sled and slid away.
However, a group of muscular male models remained standing upright in the same spot, each still in a "waiting for the slide" state.
Chu Wuyang sighed helplessly, rubbing his forehead and waving his hand as he took a step back.
"Alright, alright, let's call it a day... no need for anyone else to skate with us."
Nobody moved.
She had no choice but to raise her voice and add a sentence.
"Pay the full amount!"
"Your rich sister may not need to accompany you, but she never defaults on her debts, so feel free to take the money and leave."
Upon hearing this, the male models immediately beamed with joy and scattered to pack up their equipment.
Only one person remained standing still.
She turned her head to look.
It's the one Ye Yuhe pointed to and said "looks just like Jingmin".
The man had handsome features, with sharp eyes and a striking blend of Chinese and Russian ancestry.
Her skin was slightly fairer than Jing Min's, her eyelashes were long, and her hair was a light brown, which looked even cleaner under the snow.
He wasn't wearing a coat, standing shirtless in the wind, yet he didn't seem cold at all; his physique was just right, not ostentatious.
He seems more like a well-behaved boy who came out of military academy.
He's practically a carbon copy of a young Jingmin.
Even his posture was exactly the same as that of the boy from back then: back straight, hands neatly behind his back, eyes quietly watching her.
It's like waiting for the teacher to call roll.
"...Why aren't you leaving yet?"
Chu Wuyang asked subconsciously.
The boy smiled politely and spoke softly.
"My name is Jian Zhou, and I was temporarily recruited for this event."
His voice was clear and clean, with a touch of youthful energy that lingered at the end of his notes.
It's like the chill that hits you when the wind blows across the snow.
Chu Wuyang's heart skipped a beat.
Even the voice sounds a bit like his.
She was stunned for a few seconds before she came to her senses, and nodded with forced composure.
"Okay, I understand. You... go put on some clothes, it's quite cold."
Jian Zhou didn't move. Instead, he slowly raised his head, looked at her, and asked,
"Sister, would you let me skate with you?"
His "sister" was delivered with just the right amount of volume, sweet and endearing.
Like a well-trained hunting dog, quiet, beautiful, neither overly affectionate nor overly distant, just waiting there for her to nod.
Chu Wuyang choked up.
She wanted to say "no need," but the words just wouldn't come out.
This person looks so much like him.
Good-looking and obedient.
Her mind went completely blank for a moment.
Only when she felt she was about to become completely absorbed did she abruptly take a step back and whisper,
"You... put on your clothes first, I'll think about it."
Without waiting for Jian Zhou's response, she turned around almost as if fleeing, with Jian Zhou calling her softly from the snow behind her.
"I'll go change my clothes first, and I'll come find you in a bit, sister."
The voice was low, half swallowed by the snow, yet it was like a hook, piercing straight into her heart.
Chu Wuyang paused, her fingertips feeling slightly cold.
Snow and wind swirled around the ski resort.
Chu Wuyang stood at the starting point, staring at the wide, seemingly boundless snow track ahead, and was momentarily stunned.
This scene seems familiar.
At that moment, she stood on this snowy ground, the cold wind causing her to take a step back, and Jingmin wrapped his arms around her waist from behind.
"What are you afraid of? I'm here."
Then she really wasn't afraid anymore.
He led her on a free-skiing journey, rushing down a high slope. The wind was so strong that she couldn't open her eyes, but her body remained steady, and she never fell.
She remembered him saying,
"Don't strain, just lean on me."
But now, there's no one for her to lean on.
She gritted her teeth, adjusted her goggles, and gave a cold snort.
"What's so difficult about it? I can do it myself."
The next second, the board tilted, and she fell flat on her face into the snow.
"……ah"
As she struggled to get up, a hand reached out from the side and gently supported her.
"Oh, it's you, Miss?"
Chu Wuyang was taken aback. He looked up and saw a woman wearing a woolen hat with an old-fashioned SLR camera hanging around her neck.
"You know me?"
She asked suspiciously.
The woman smiled warmly and raised her camera.
"Of course I remember! I even took pictures of you and your husband when you came here last time!"
"You guys were really good at skiing here, remember? You even held hands and jumped down the slope."
Her tone was light and cheerful, as if she were talking about an old dream.
Chu Wuyang seemed to choke on something, and was stunned for several seconds.
She did remember that someone took a picture of them, and she was worried that Jingmin would get angry because he felt disturbed. Unexpectedly, Jingmin seemed quite happy and even asked for the photo.
"Yeah?"
Her throat felt a little dry.
"What a coincidence..."
"Oh yes, what a coincidence!"
The woman couldn't help but laugh.
“You two have such a great relationship. You revisited the same place together after all this time. You have such unique personalities and you are such a perfect match. I recognized you at a glance.”
Chu Wuyang paused, then said in a low voice,
"...No, I'm alone, we weren't together..."
"ah?"
The woman was somewhat taken aback.
"I'm sorry, I didn't know... you two had already broken up? I was wondering why I only saw your husband walk by alone just now,"
Chu Wuyang suddenly looked up, her heart pounding wildly.
"What did you say? You saw him?"
The woman nodded, gesturing as she looked around.
"It's that slope ahead. He was walking fast, so I couldn't see his face clearly, but I recognized his demeanor at a glance—tall, with a very upright posture, and sharp eyes. He didn't say much the whole way."
