Chapter 392 Jing Min... is already engaged

In the quiet corridor of the hotel, Chu Wuyang had just turned out of the elevator when she heard a series of intermittent whispers coming from around the corner ahead.

It was Chu Han's voice.

She originally wanted to take a detour.

But the voice was so low, gentle, and tender, carrying a clear tone of comfort and concern.

"How could I not want you... Please don't cry, baby. You know you've always been the one I love most... Everything I've done is for you. Please understand me..."

Chu Wuyang subconsciously stopped in her tracks.

She didn't intentionally eavesdrop, but the tone and the content... clearly etched the word "lover" into every single sentence.

Who is he trying to fool?

She unconsciously took a few steps closer, stood behind the wall, and could hear more clearly from a corner.

There seemed to be sobbing on the other end of the phone. Chu Han's voice was urgent and tinged with panic.

"What nonsense are you talking about? The Jin family doesn't care about you? Don't worry, I'll think of a way. How could I abandon you because of her... I told you long ago, she's nothing at all."

Chu Wuyang's face gradually darkened.

She couldn't even think carefully about the meaning behind his words.

Her fingers tightened, her brows furrowed, and finally, unable to bear it any longer, she turned and strode out of the corner, shutting Chu Han down.

Upon seeing her, Chu Han was visibly startled, a flash of panic crossing his eyes.

But she quickly regained her composure, even wearing a half-smile as she continued to coax the person on the other end of the phone.

"Don't be afraid, baby... I'll be free soon... Okay, wait for me."

After saying that, he hung up the phone with an air of nonchalance, leaned against the wall, and lazily looked her over, his eyes frivolous and undisguised.

"How long did you listen?"

Chu Wuyang had a cold face.

"Did Ahe know that you were seeing other people behind her back?"

Chu Han chuckled lightly.

"Are you planning to tell her?"

"Do you think she'll believe you or me?"

He spoke as he slowly approached, his tone so light it sounded like a friendly joke.

"You're her good friend, you must know how much she's obsessed with love, right?"

"You saw it yesterday too. As long as I used a little trick, she still forgave me obediently, didn't she?"

Chu Wuyang didn't want to waste any more time, so he turned around and was about to leave, heading straight for Ye Yuhe's room.

Chu Han suddenly added a sentence behind her, his tone turning icy cold.

"I advise you to think carefully. If you instigate us..."

His voice suddenly lowered, like a shadowy snake slithering into your ear.

"Then I wouldn't mind telling her that you tried to seduce me but failed, and then you framed me."

Chu Wuyang paused, and upon hearing such simple words, she didn't even bother to turn around.

She walked straight towards Ye Yuhe's room.

The door clicked open.

Chu Wuyang raised her eyes, her expression calm.

"Ahe, I have something to tell you..."

Ye Yuhe lowered her voice and pointed to the phone next to her ear.

"Wait a minute..."

Chu Wuyang nodded, followed her into the room, and closed the door behind her.

Ye Yuhe turned around and stayed glued to the other end of the phone, her tone incredibly soft and sweet.

"You coaxed me so much yesterday I almost flew away... What? You want to hear me act cute again? You're so naughty..."

Chu Wuyang stood to the side, feeling like his CPU motherboard had been burned out, his mind short-circuiting with a "sizzle".

What's going on?

She watched as Ye Yuhe blew a loud kiss into the phone and hung up with a blush on her face.

"Yangyang, what do you want to say?"

Chu Wuyang still wore an expression of utter astonishment.

"What... what's going on with you?"

Ye Yuhe tossed her phone aside, sprawled out on the bed, and spoke in a relaxed tone.

"Can't you tell? I'm in love."

Chu Wuyang's lips twitched, and he stammered.

"But...but what about Chu Han?"

Ye Yuhe sat up abruptly, her face so close that her eyelashes almost brushed against her nose.

"Chu Han? He's long past his prime, of course someone new needs to replace him."

Chu Wuyang looked at her, rubbed his temples, and sighed softly.

"It seems I was worrying too much."

Ye Yuhe rested her chin on her hand.

"Baby, what exactly are you trying to say?"

Chu Wuyang looked up at her, his voice pausing between pauses.

"You knew all along that Chu Han was having affairs with other people behind your back?"

Ye Yuhe's face clearly said, "That's obvious."

"Of course I know. Otherwise, why do you think I'd ignore him? Would I be bored out of my mind?"

Chu Wuyang was speechless for a moment.

"If that's the case, why bother getting entangled with him?"

Ye Yuhe's smile faded somewhat, and her tone turned serious.

"Of course I want to know what he's up to."

She looked out the window, her expression somewhat cold.

“I’m not the same person I used to be. I’ve been played by him for so long. I can’t swallow this anger until I find out his motives and get revenge.”

After returning from Switzerland, Chu Wuyang went back to her villa by the sea in Australia.

The sun was shining, the breeze was warm, and she spent her days nestled in the garden, watching the clouds, trimming flowers, and basking in the sun.

It's like he'll never wake up.

Life was as peaceful as an old movie with its vocal cords removed.

Yang Jinchu seemed genuinely annoyed by her, and never appeared again after that day.

Chu Wuyang didn't ask.

She knew that the silent servants in the villa would always relay every word she made to Yang Jinchu.

And so, like plum trees blooming in winter, the two stood stubbornly in place, motionless.

Until that morning.

Sunlight streamed through the French windows, bathing her in its warmth as she prepared to feed the kittens in the yard with a glass of warm milk.

Yang Jinchu suddenly appeared at the dining table.

His suit was impeccably tailored, and his expression was aloof, as if he had just returned from the frost and snow the night before.

Chu Wuyang was stunned for a moment.

Why are you here?

Yang Jinchu didn't answer, he just stared at her intently.

It's like watching a porcelain doll about to be shattered.

She blinked, pretending nothing was wrong.

Have you eaten?

The man remained silent.

She sighed inwardly: This man has such a temper; it's been a month and he still hasn't calmed down?

She waved her hand, signaling the maid to prepare breakfast.

Yang Jinchu then slowly placed the tablet in front of her and opened a page to show it to her.

"What's wrong? Why are you so serious?"

He remained silent, only slightly raising his chin to signal her to look.

Chu Wuyang glanced down, and his previously nonchalant expression instantly froze.

That handsome face, so familiar it's ingrained in our very being, occupied the most prominent position on the news cover.

The title is striking:

[Jin Jingmin and his fiancée have officially announced their engagement! The fiancée's identity has been revealed: she is the daughter of a prominent noble family.]

Her finger hovered at the edge of the screen, remaining motionless for a long time.

Yang Jinchu took the coffee from the maid, took a small sip, and then spoke.

“Jingmin… is already engaged. At this rate, it won’t be long… before he gets married.”

"He's already moved on and started a new life. Are you still planning to dwell on the past?"
