"What did you say?"
Chu Wuyang suddenly turned her head to look at him, her eyes narrowing.
Yang Jinchu's fingers tightened slightly on the steering wheel, but he quickly composed himself, his tone remaining calm as usual.
"It's nothing, shall I take you home?"
Chu Wuyang raised an eyebrow in confusion.
"Huh? Not going to the sanatorium?"
Yang Jinchu's gaze remained fixed ahead, his expression indifferent, revealing no emotional fluctuation.
"When I got there, Aunt Lin was already gone."
"The reason and whereabouts still need to be investigated, but we can roughly guess that Lin Yuebai secretly took them abroad."
Chu Wuyang immediately sat up straight, alert.
"Lin Yuebai is just a dancer, what is she doing abroad? Does she have powerful backers there? How could she move someone away right under our noses?"
Yang Jinchu shook his head.
"I don't know the specifics, but she must have someone to rely on."
"Otherwise, how could it be such a coincidence that Aunt Lin disappeared immediately after the old lady passed away? The method was clean and efficient, clearly indicating that it was prepared in advance."
Chu Wuyang frowned, and her tone lowered.
"Could it be Jingmin?"
"He must have known about his grandmother's passing immediately."
"Moreover, he set up a farewell hall in the sanatorium—Aunt Lin disappeared directly from the sanatorium, and he was there at the time. Such a coincidence makes him a prime suspect."
Yang Jinchu raised an eyebrow and nodded.
"That's certainly possible."
"But... what about the motive?"
"Aside from a brief childhood friendship, there was no real relationship between him and Lin Yuebai."
Chu Wuyang sneered, her voice tinged with coldness.
"He has many motives; he just wants to annoy and disgust me,"
“Lin Yuebai still has a lot of KOALA shares. Although I currently hold the most shares, if my grandfather leaves the remaining portion to her before he dies... she is fully capable of competing with me.”
She paused, then gritted her teeth and said,
"That's not even the most infuriating thing. She puts it nicely that I'm the CEO, but in reality, I'm just working for her."
"Why should I be working myself to the bone in China while she's living a carefree life abroad and getting paid for nothing?"
Yang Jinchu chuckled softly, her tone carrying a hint of certainty and reassurance.
"Don't worry, it won't develop into the way you imagine."
"Grandpa is still in good health and his mind is clear. He's not so old that he can't distinguish right from wrong."
What is meant to be yours will eventually be yours.
"As for Lin Yuebai—she will have to return what she took without paying it back sooner or later."
Chu Wuyang was not satisfied.
"That's true, but if Jingmin is the one who caused the change... then everything will be different,"
She looked out the car window, her gaze darkening.
"You should turn back. I need to go to the sanatorium myself to see if any clues have been left behind."
She paused, her tone becoming more urgent.
"Didn't you say Aunt Lin attended the memorial service? How could a perfectly healthy person just disappear like that, with all the guests around?"
There must be something fishy going on.
Yang Jinchu casually reminded him,
"The sanatorium has been sealed off. According to the staff, it's because some important person is still there. It seems that Jing Min, although he doesn't show up much, hasn't left."
Chu Wuyang's expression froze for a moment.
But her gaze quickly shifted, as if she had suddenly remembered something, and her tone lowered slightly.
"Didn't he accompany Mo Sangyu to the hospital? He shouldn't be back so soon..." We won't run into him.
She paused slightly, then began to speak as if to herself.
“I also know relatives on Grandma Jiang’s side. I can ask them to help bring someone in. It shouldn’t be a problem.”
Yang Jinchu didn't speak, but his expression darkened noticeably, and his eyes turned cold.
Chu Wuyang noticed this, thought for a moment, and then tentatively added,
"How about... Jin Xian stays with me?"
"I will not get involved with Jingmin, nor will I cause trouble. I will come out as soon as I finish investigating the clues."
Yang Jinchu sighed softly, his tone tinged with helplessness.
"Call him now."
