Chapter 405 Yang Jinchu's Wife

Chu Wuyang did not answer directly, but instead asked indifferently,

"Did Mr. Jing forget something?"

Jing Min didn't say anything, and stepped directly into the door.

He stood straight, his gaze cold, showing no intention of taking the item and leaving.

"The doctor hasn't arrived yet, Miss Chu, are you so impatient?"

"Can't you even wait a little longer?"

Chu Wuyang stood motionless at the door, her tone remaining calm.

"Thank you for your kindness, Mr. Jing, but I don't want to trouble anyone or wait any longer."

Jing Min snorted coldly, his gaze sweeping over the bloodstains on her wound, but his tone suddenly turned sharp.

"Miss Chu's habit of not keeping her word hasn't changed at all."

"You just promised my wife you'd wait for the doctor here. What, you want to go back on your word after only a few minutes?"

He repeatedly referred to her as "my wife," his tone conveying a tender and protective affection.

Chu Wuyang's face tightened instantly upon hearing this, as if he had finally had enough after enduring it for a long time.

"What business is it of yours whether I break my promise or not?"

"It's my body, I can do what I want to do, and you have no right to interfere if I don't want to."

Jing Min finally smiled, though the smile was unsettling, cold as a knife, and undisguisedly sarcastic.

"It's your body, that's true, and you are certainly free to decide how to handle it."

"But the problem is—you promised my wife, so you have to keep your word!"

He took a step forward, his tone neither hurried nor slow.

"We should have known that Miss Chu has never been very reliable when it comes to 'trust'."

"In order to prevent my sick wife from worrying, I have an obligation to keep your promise for her."

"Therefore, we hope Miss Chu will cooperate and wait here for the doctor to treat the wound."

Chu Wuyang was driven to grit her teeth by his tyranny.

What if I don't cooperate?

Jing Min also stopped smiling, and his expression turned serious.

"Yeah?"

He said, in a cold tone,

"If your willful behavior makes my sick wife uneasy—then I will inevitably have to do something to make Miss Chu unhappy as well."

As he spoke, he took out his phone, pulled up a surveillance video, and slowly held it up in front of her.

Chu Wuyang glanced down and his expression changed instantly.

In the surveillance footage, Jin Xuan was squatting down, furtively rummaging through the lockers, looking like a thief, clearly unaware that he was being filmed by the security camera.

She was the one who told him to find an opportunity to sneak into Aunt Lin's room to look for useful clues.

Jingmin put away his phone and spoke in a nonchalant tone.

"I wonder if this behavior counts as burglary, or if there's some other ulterior motive?"

Chu Wuyang suddenly looked up, stared at him, and lowered her voice.

"Are you threatening me?"

She knew exactly what he meant. Regardless of the behavior, even if the punishment wasn't severe, just having it exposed would have a significant impact on a public figure like Jin Xuan.

Jingmin readily admitted it, a slight smile playing on his lips.

"Yes, it's a threat."

"It all depends on Miss Chu's choice."

The air froze for a moment.

Chu Wuyang stared at him, her gaze gradually turning cold, then she smiled and slowly took two steps closer to him.

"Mr. Jing is so insistent on treating my wounds, could it be that he feels sorry for me and still has feelings for me?"

Her tone was neither too light nor too heavy, yet it was aggressive.

Jing Min's gaze lingered on her face for a moment, then he let out a cold laugh.

"It's been a few years, and Miss Chu's skin has gotten quite thick."

"Don't you think you should first examine yourself and see if you can compare to Sang Yu in any way?"

Chu Wuyang scoffed lightly.

"Why should I compare myself to her? I have absolutely no interest in Mr. Jing."

She paused, a smile playing on her lips.

"It would be best if Mr. Jing didn't have those feelings for me. Otherwise, I would have to remind him not to worry too much about how I treated my wound. It wouldn't be good if my boyfriend misunderstood."

Jing Min sneered.

"I wonder how irresponsible Miss Chu's boyfriend is, not even caring about your scratch?"

"It's best to dump this kind of boyfriend as soon as possible."

"But then again—you two have been dating for so many years and still haven't gotten married, so it seems you really aren't a good match."

Chu Wuyang was quite provoked by the sarcasm in his words, and her voice turned cold.

"What do you know that gives you the right to speak ill of others?"

"Although Mr. Jing's advice is completely useless, you don't even know my boyfriend, so don't make these useless remarks all the time."

"So that I won't feel ashamed and inferior when I meet the real person someday!"

Jing Min's expression suddenly tightened, as if she had been struck by her words "feeling ashamed of herself".

"Just Yang Jinchu—"

"It wasn't him!"

Chu Wuyang blurted it out unconsciously, and regretted it as soon as the words left her mouth.

She was just trying to outwit him, but in her haste, she let something slip.

If he really pressed her for details, she wouldn't have time to fabricate a flawless persona.

And it would be even more ridiculous if the lie were exposed and the person was proven wrong one day.

Jing Min's eyes turned icy, and his voice lashed out like it was made of ice.

Who is it?

The air seemed to freeze for half a second.

Chu Wuyang forced herself to remain silent.

Jingmin seemed to realize something was inappropriate, and his tone returned to its coldness.

“I have absolutely no interest in Miss Chu’s personal matters,”

I don't care whether you personally will have any problems due to improper handling.

"I hope Miss Chu won't misunderstand and think I have any other intentions. Miss Chu is right, it wouldn't be good if your boyfriend misunderstood."

After he finished speaking, he turned away from her, leaving behind a single sentence that swept across her face like a cold wind.
