The doctor paused for a moment as he entered.
The room was lit only by a dim wall lamp, casting slanted light and shadows on the sofa, where the two sat at opposite ends.
A vast expanse of deathly silence separated them, like a cold war that was not yet over.
This doesn't look like a harmonious atmosphere at all; the smell of the couple arguing is practically wafting out of the walls.
He was brought in temporarily to treat his wounds and didn't know either of them, but he wasn't blind either.
The sheer scale of the scene outside, the bodyguards standing guard throughout the room, the oppressive atmosphere that threatened to drag anyone who dared to look too far away.

He also witnessed Mr. Jing say only two words to a certain tycoon, and the other party immediately bowed his head and smiled obsequiously as he transferred his shares.
