"Doctor, thank you for your help."
Chu Wuyang spoke softly, raising the abrasion on her wrist to show it to the patient.
The doctor immediately stepped forward and carefully examined the wound.
"Yes, madam."
Since they didn't know a better way to address him, the doctor could only use this vague term.
No sooner had he finished speaking than a cold sneer came from the other side of the sofa, the tone low but full of sarcasm.
The doctor's hand trembled, and he almost dropped the gauze on the ground.
"It's alright, please continue."
Chu Wuyang smiled gently, her tone still soft, defusing the awkward situation for him.
The bandaging process was short, and the doctor was indeed professional, working quickly and efficiently to re-bandage the treated wound.
Chu Wuyang felt much better in her wrist, looked up and nodded her thanks.
"Thank you, it's very well wrapped."
The doctor had just finished tidying up his medical equipment when he noticed out of the corner of his eye that although "Mr. Jing" sat silently to one side, his eyes were fixed on this side the whole time, and his aura made the doctor feel suffocated.
He hesitated for a moment.
Seeing that the doctor hadn't left yet, Chu Wuyang asked in confusion,
"Doctor, what's wrong?"
The doctor lowered his head, speaking cautiously.
"Madam, are you... satisfied with my service?"
He observed that this young lady was beautiful, kind-hearted, spoke gently, and was polite. Since she was the one he was serving, he naturally aimed to satisfy her.
As long as this young lady nods, even if that "Mr. Jing" is difficult to please, he probably won't cause trouble.
After all, if someone of that level gets angry, even if you pay a lot of money afterward, it won't outweigh a single word of accountability at the time. He's just an ordinary doctor; he can't afford that.
After thinking it over, I still cautiously asked the question, just to put my mind at ease.
Chu Wuyang was taken aback by the sudden question, but still answered truthfully.
"Satisfied, very satisfied. Thank you."
The doctor breathed a sigh of relief and was about to leave when he heard a faint voice coming from behind him—
"Wait a moment"
Jing Min slowly stood up, his figure upright, his dark eyes deep and unfathomable. His handsome face was sharp and sculpted in that instant, exuding a sense of oppression that pierced the heart.
"Miss Chu really has low standards. You're 'very satisfied' with this level of bandaging?"
He chuckled coldly.
"No wonder you have such poor taste in men... Your 'ashamed' boyfriend must be pretty waterlogged."
Chu Wuyang's lips tightened; it was obvious he was deliberately picking a fight.
She retorted coldly.
"If you have any complaints, just say so. Why talk about others?"
"I paid the money, so I have the right to say I'm not satisfied, right?"
Jing Min raised an eyebrow, his casual tone carrying a hint of aggressiveness.
Chu Wuyang immediately understood that he was holding a grudge. He had previously said that he had no right to interfere with the treatment of her wounds, and now he was seizing this opportunity to torment her.
She simply leaned back on the sofa and softened her tone.
“Yes, Mr. Jing is absolutely qualified.”
Jing Min's lips curled into a smile as he looked at the doctor.
"Tear it down and repackage it."
Chu Wuyang glanced at him sideways.
Sure enough, she was right. He wasn't dissatisfied with the bandage at all; he was targeting her and deliberately picking a fight with her.
The doctor froze, his face filled with astonishment, and had not yet made a move.
Jing Min had already turned his head to give the order.
"Go and bring the medicine."
The bodyguard standing to the side seemed to have been struck a nerve, his face showing undisguised heartache and hesitation.
The medicine was personally ordered by Mr. Jing's special assistant. Mr. Jing has been at the center of a vortex for many years, with assassination threats never ceasing, and he has countless knife and gunshot wounds on his body.
For this reason, a batch of wound medicine was specially commissioned from a famous doctor. Each small jar was worth a fortune, and it contained only rare medicinal materials that could not be bought outside the local area.
Even his bodyguards knew that—that thing was only used on Mr. Jing himself when his life was hanging by a thread, so how could it be used now…
So they just let some insignificant woman get away with it?
Despite his reluctance, the bodyguard dared not disobey orders and reluctantly took out the ointment, handing it to the doctor with both hands.
The doctor took it, and as soon as he opened the bottle, a refreshing medicinal fragrance wafted out. The medicinal properties were calm and restrained, not ostentatious, but with an extremely pure quality.
Based on his years of experience, he took a sniff and was alarmed to realize that this was no ordinary medicine.
Such a precious medicine is nowhere to be found on the market; only the truly powerful and wealthy can possess it.
He glanced at Jing Min, then at the woman before him with a calm expression and only a minor scratch on her wrist. A complex feeling welled up inside him—using precious medicine on such a small wound seemed like a waste.
He dared not say much, and could only carefully remove the bandage and replace it with new medicine.
Judging from their reactions, Chu Wuyang figured it must be a good thing; it seemed she had been too naive.
She looked at him.
"Thank you for the medicine, Mr. Jing."
Jing Min didn't even look at her, his voice cold.
"It's not for you, it's to save my wife trouble,"
Chu Wuyang naturally understood what he meant. If it weren't for Mo Sangyu, why would he have kindly arranged for someone to bandage her wounds? With his personality, he always considered it a waste of time to even glance at unrelated people.
She pursed her lips, her tone gentle and calm.
"Then I will thank Miss Mo in person if I have the chance."
Jing Min frowned slightly, his tone suddenly turning cold.
"Miss Chu had better stay away from my wife."
“Sang Yu is simple and kind-hearted, unlike a calculating woman like you. Since you helped her, consider it me repaying this favor on her behalf.”
His comments were like a bucket of ice water poured on her, chilling her from the back to her heart.
Chu Wuyang took a light breath, her lips curving slightly, but there was no smile in them.
"Mr. Jing is willing to take out his most treasured possessions to repay Miss Mo's favor... then so be it,"
She looked up at him, her gaze clear and indifferent.
"I also wish Mr. and Mrs. Jing a pleasant trip in China—goodbye,"
"Never again!"
After saying that, she turned and left, her movements swift and decisive.
Suddenly, a series of loud crashing sounds came from the room behind me, as if a chair had been kicked over.
But Chu Wuyang didn't turn around, as if she hadn't heard anything, and walked away with firm steps.
