Chu Wuyang remained silent for a long while before speaking, her voice as calm as ever.
"Because my so-called marriage with Jingmin was actually a one-sided forced marriage against my will, and I had no choice but to compromise for the sake of the family's reputation,"
Yun Yang's eyes widened; she couldn't quite believe that Jing Min could do something like forcing someone.
She continued to ask suspiciously:
"He likes you?"
She simply couldn't imagine how someone like Jing Min could force a woman.
Rumors circulated that the couple was not getting along.
Therefore, she naturally assumed that their marriage was a loveless union.
However, the Chu family has more than one daughter involved in arranged marriages.
So it's possible that because she likes him, she's somewhat resistant to this answer.
Chu Wuyang frowned, not really wanting to answer the question, but she replied anyway in order to persuade Yun Yang.
"Perhaps he likes the person who is Mrs. Jing. You should know that Jing Min is a very responsible person."
"He's been with you for three years, so he must have treated you very well! Otherwise, you wouldn't be so confident that he wouldn't abandon you."
Hearing this, Yun Yang's face showed a satisfied and smug expression.
Seeing that flattery had worked, Chu Wuyang continued calmly,
"So once you become Mrs. Jing, Jing Min will definitely treat you very well and like you."
"Plus, you two still have a past relationship, so he'll cherish you even more,"
"Furthermore, Jing Min's current power level doesn't require the support of a marriage alliance at all. If you were willing, he might even go along with it."
Hearing these words, which were hard not to be moved by, Yun Yang's inner desire reached its peak.
But the person was still conscious.
She observed Chu Wuyang's expression and cautiously asked in a low voice:
"Are you willing to give up?"
Chu Wuyang was already very impatient inside, but she still smiled faintly on the surface.
"Since you know Jingmin so well, you should also know about me, right?"
She paused for a moment before continuing with difficulty:
"Before this, I also had a childhood sweetheart and fiancé. We had a very good relationship, but Jingmin interfered and ruined it."
Before Yun Yang could ask, Chu Wuyang continued, half-jokingly,
"The reason he chose me was entirely because my identity was easier to control compared to my other sisters,"
“My parents are both dead, and I am not yet capable of taking over. Naturally, all the companies under my name have been taken into his possession. How can I possibly negotiate with a tiger for its skin?”
Surprisingly, the reasonable accusations received no response from Yun Yang.
She even closed her eyes in despair, and when she opened them again...
Chu Wuyang's pupils trembled with unease when she saw this.
Finally, she bit her lip and weakly uttered a few words.
"Sorry, I can't," he said hastily, opening the door and leaving quickly.
——
People filed in, creating a noisy commotion.
Chu Wuyang stood there, stunned, mentally replaying the events and conversations that had just transpired.
She could clearly see that Yun Yang was already smitten; it had only taken a few words.
Their attitude changed so drastically before and after; they didn't even seem to consider it.
So where did the problem lie? Was the medication too strong?
Was it the last sentence that made her think of:
Want to date? The kind where I want your whole family.
Was Yun Yang frightened by Jing Min's shameless behavior?
Li Yan rushed in and saw Chu Wuyang standing there, and couldn't help but breathe a sigh of relief.
The phone on the sofa rang again unexpectedly.
Li Yan looked over there.
Chu Wuyang stood there, still motionless.
He walked over, picked up the phone, and handed it to Chu Wuyang.
The phone was caught and mercilessly thrown against the wall, instantly destroying it.
The whole room became quiet.
Ye Yuhe was also startled by this sudden action. She had never seen Chu Wuyang so out of control, especially in front of so many people.
She walked over and cautiously began to speak:
"Yangyang, are you alright?"
Chu Wuyang looked up, calmed herself, and slowly began to speak:
"It's alright, Ahe, you can go back now. Thank you."
Ye Yuhe was about to say something when Chu Wuyang gently patted her on the shoulder.
They could only stop it, and then he left with his bodyguards.
The remaining people in the room were Li Yan and a few bodyguards who had rushed over.
Chu Wuyang, her eyes fixed straight ahead and her expression cold, strode out, the others following silently.
Upon reaching the entrance of the bar on the third floor, she paused, turned back to look at the group, and sneered.
Do you want to come together?
The actual meaning of these words was to drive people away, but they were spoken in a gentle voice.
It even had a hint of invitation, and they all lowered their heads in tacit agreement.
It was obvious that the person inside Li Yan's earpiece also heard it.
He wouldn't answer his calls, and since he couldn't leave immediately, he had someone follow him.
Knowing she was angry, I could only ask Li Yan to report the specifics of the situation.
Hearing her playful words, it would be a lie to say I wasn't angry.
Chu Wuyang slightly raised her chin, watching Li Yan occasionally respond to the person in the earpiece.
Beads of sweat rolled down his forehead; he must be quite angry. She didn't move, just watched Li Yan answer the phone.
After a standoff lasting about a minute, Li Yan finally hung up the phone.
He turned around and waved to the bodyguards behind him, indicating that they could leave on their own.
Seeing this, Chu Wuyang went straight into the bar, dealt with those tails, and felt much lighter, able to breathe more easily.
But they also knew that Li Yan wouldn't leave on his own; he would stay at the door no matter what.
Never mind, let it be!
The deafening music and the wildly flashing lights created an atmosphere that surged like a tidal wave.
