Chu Wuyang turned her head away.
"On behalf of the Chu family..."
She truly hadn't expected the chamber of commerce event to be held for Jing Min, and then she saw her again.
Jing Min stared at her, his tone becoming more playful.
"Representing the Chu family?"
"That is indeed a valid reason,"
"But, as far as I know, those who attend these kinds of business association events are usually the actual heads of the companies, and Miss Chu isn't the one in charge of the Chu family."

After saying that, she didn't care what Jingmin was thinking. Now that they had gotten together in a muddled way, there was no point in explaining anymore.
I just secretly thought that I must sever all ties with them in the future.
She threw back the covers, revealing her naked body under Jing Min's gaze, intending to wash herself first and escape from here.
But as soon as she landed, her legs went weak and she fell forward due to inertia.
She instinctively threw herself into the arms of the man standing by the bed, and instantly her nose was filled with his familiar, cool fragrance.

Jing Min had already formed an opinion that she had ulterior motives, and no matter how she explained, it would only make things worse.

Chu Wuyang picked up the bathrobe from the sofa without turning around.

Chu Wuyang stopped in her tracks as she headed for the bathroom. She remembered that scene; the two of them hadn't even waited to get on the elevator back to their room before they started whispering sweet nothings at the elevator entrance.
The visual impact of that scene was so strong that Chu Wuyang could still vividly remember it after she lost consciousness. She thought she didn't care, but Jing Min's words were like a heavy hammer blow to her.
It shattered all her pretense of strength.
She unconsciously clenched her fists and turned around.
"I was indeed drunk last night, and it was just a coincidence that I stumbled upon this. I'm truly sorry if I disturbed you,"
Jing Min chuckled softly, a laugh tinged with mockery, as if laughing at her clumsy attempt at feigning ignorance.
"Oh? A coincidence?"
He approached slowly, his eyes cold and piercing.
The elevator behind us just happened to be broken.
"Ms. Chu also happened to be unable to contact any staff members."
"And even more coincidentally—just as my wife left, the elevator here suddenly started working again on its own."
"With so many 'just right' things coming together, doesn't Miss Chu think it looks too fake?"
It's fake, so incredibly fake.
Chu Wuyang stood there, stunned, as if her mind had been violently struck—
She vaguely remembered someone calling her name; it was Mo Sangyu.
She said she was in charge of the club and offered to help call someone to check the elevator; it was her duty.
Perhaps due to dizziness, she remembered taking out her phone, but she couldn't dial any numbers.
Fortunately, Mo Sangyu took the initiative to help dial the number, but... the call didn't go through.
What happened next?
She tried hard to recall—in the hazy fragments of memory, Mo Sangyu said that Jing Min was also drunk, and she had to go find someone.
Then, Mo Sangyu left.
And then? She really couldn't remember.
She only remembered that someone seemed to help her into the elevator, and when she opened her eyes again, she was lying naked on the bed.

Unfortunately, Chu Xi was abroad handling company affairs, so she temporarily stepped in to take charge.
