The last sentence was tinged with a sense of shame and embarrassment.
But since the matter is indeed related to her, she should resolve it properly.
The man with the ramen-noodle hair was trembling with fear on the other end of the phone.
"No need, no need for compensation."
"I just hope Miss Chu can convey some words to that important person,"
"We didn't mean it. If we did anything wrong, please point it out. Finally, we would be very grateful if you could help us."
"Jian Zhou has already paid the price with a leg, so don't make things harder for his seriously ill mother."
Chu Wuyang's brow twitched.
What happened to Jianzhou's mother?
"Instant Noodle Hair" hesitated.
"The hospital just announced the cancellation of some benefits that were granted based on Miss Chu's previous connections,"
As if afraid of causing trouble himself, he quickly added...
“We’re not greedy and want more… it’s just that Auntie’s health is improving, and if we switch from those priority medical resources…”
Chu Wuyang interrupted,
"Don't worry, your treatment will remain the same, and you will receive compensation. I will handle the perpetrator properly; there will be no retaliation."
After expressing his gratitude, the man with the ramen-noodle hair hung up the phone.
After calming herself down, Chu Wuyang gritted her teeth and called Jing Min.
The phone rang for a long time before it was answered.
A clear, pleasant male voice came slowly from the other end of the phone.
"We've only been apart for one night, and Miss Chu is already in such a hurry to contact me? She misses me?"
Chu Wuyang glanced at the people coming and going in the airport hall, suppressed her anger, and walked to a quiet, deserted spot. She lowered her voice...
"Jingmin, stop pretending,"
"I'm asking you, did you have someone else cause Jian Zhou's car accident?"
Jingmin's tone on the other end of the phone was indifferent.
Is he dead?
Chu Wuyang's breath caught in his throat.
"Jingmin, are you sick? What exactly do you want to do?"
He spoke slowly, as if he hadn't heard the question.
"Oh, he's not dead,"
"But what does his car accident have to do with you? Why are you so anxious?"
The tone shifted abruptly, and his voice suddenly turned cold.
"Who are you to him?" she asked, as if her husband had died.
His tone was utterly devoid of pity; he spoke of human life as if it were an ant being crushed.
Chu Wuyang gritted his teeth, took a deep breath, and struggled to try and rekindle a sliver of his humanity.
"Do you know that intentionally causing injury is illegal?"
"That's a human life!"
Jing Min chuckled softly, his tone unrestrained, even tinged with contempt.
“If I break the law, let the police arrest me. Also, I want to remind Ms. Chu that defamation is a criminal offense.”
Don't label people without any evidence.
