Chapter 460 Absurd Demand

Chu Wuyang glanced at Mo Sangyu with a complicated expression but did not object.

"Thanks"

The car drove on until it came to a quiet and pleasant little road.

The cars behind didn't follow.

Just as Chu Wuyang was about to ask the driver to pull over to the side of the road,

The car slowly pulled up in front of a five-story villa.

Chu Wuyang stared blankly outside without moving.

This is... Jing Min and Mo Sangyu's home in Haicheng?

Mo Sangyu opened the car door and got out, inviting him with a cold smile.

"Miss Chu, you've arrived. Please come in and have a seat."

Chu Wuyang refused without even thinking.

"No need, I'll wait here for my assistant to pick me up."

Mo Sangyu looked up at the sky, her expression somewhat hesitant.

"It will take time for your assistant to arrive, and it's already dark and looks like it's going to rain. Why don't you come inside and sit for a while? You can go out after he arrives."

Seeing that Chu Wuyang still wanted to refuse,

Mo Sangyu looked troubled.

“It’s not safe for Miss Chu to be out alone. If Amin finds out that I haven’t been hospitable enough, he might hold a grudge against me. Miss Chu wouldn’t want my husband and I to have a conflict over something like this, would she?”

What's going on?

This sounds like they're trying to confirm that she's the manipulative, scheming female supporting character who tries to ruin the harmonious relationship between the male and female leads.

Chu Wuyang let out a soft sigh.

"Then let's go inside and wait."

As soon as Chu Wuyang stepped into the house with Mo Sangyu, she felt dizzy and short of breath.

This is where Jingmin and Mo Sangyu live!

She had imagined his married life countless times, but when the scene actually unfolded before her eyes, the impact was like a sudden punch to the heart.

This space doesn't feel artificially sweet, yet it exudes a genuine sense of intimacy.

Next to the shoe cabinet in the entryway, two pairs of couple slippers are neatly arranged on either side. The men's pair is a low-key gray-blue, and the women's pair is a gentle off-white with embroidery.

It was obviously bought as a set.

The toes of their shoes pointed slightly towards each other, as if leaning against one another.

The living room is just across the hallway.

Two completely different blankets were draped over the beige fabric sofa: one a subtle gray checkered pattern, the other a light blue floral print, evoking the image of two people snuggled up on the sofa, each covered by a blanket, on a weekend afternoon.

A light-colored shirt that Jingmin often wore was draped over the back of the sofa, while a thin cardigan by Mo Sangyu hung on the armrest. The two garments overlapped unintentionally, as if they were from an intimate embrace that had just ended.

On the coffee table are two mugs, one large and one small, one with "J" printed on it and the other with "SY".

There was also a magazine flipped to the middle of the page next to the cup, with an interview featuring Jingmin on the cover.

Underneath the spine of the book was a girlish hair tie.

The photo frame hanging on the wall shows Mo Sangyu walking a dog; the dog's name tag on its collar reads "Jin".

That's the beginning of Jingmin's English name.

From the moment she entered, Mo Sangyu expertly instructed the servants to prepare the dishes, and then handed a glass of water to Chu Wuyang, who was still standing blankly in the middle of the living room.

"Sit down for a while and have a glass of water."

After gesturing for her to sit down, Mo Sangyu sat down herself, casually fiddling with the cushions on the sofa.

The relaxed and comfortable feeling she exuded was something only a female protagonist could possess.

Chu Wuyang stood there, his whole body tense, like an alien who had accidentally wandered into forbidden territory.

Chu Wuyang, who had seen all sorts of grand occasions, had never felt so out of place, to the point of finding it almost unbearable.

Just standing there breathing, she felt the air was thin, as if she were about to suffocate.

With heavy, labored steps, she moved over and sat down on the sofa where Mo Sangyu and Jing Min might have been intimately entwined.

The moment the sofa pressed against her back, she felt a slight jolt in her stomach, a primal nausea rising within her that she desperately suppressed.

Fortunately, they had already exchanged some words in the car, and Mo Sangyu was tactful enough not to mention what had happened to her.

The two chatted casually.

A servant came over shortly afterward.

"Madam, as you instructed, the dishes are all prepared. Would you like to cook dinner yourself tonight?"

Mo Sangyu stood up and nodded.

"Yes, the gentleman prefers light flavors. If you're not sure how to prepare it, I'll prepare it myself."

The maid nodded.

Mo Sangyu then gave further instructions.

"Take the new pajamas I bought for my husband to the dryer and wash, then bring them to my room,"

The servant responded respectfully.

"Yes, madam."

Chu Wuyang paused, her gaze falling on the shopping bag that Mo Sangyu had personally brought back.

The maid skillfully retrieved a men's nightgown from among the items; its silver-gray silk fabric gleamed subtly under the light.

It's the brand that Jingmin often wears.

She knew it all too well.

If she remembered correctly, this brand specializes in high-end couple's pajamas and doesn't sell them individually.

The main design concept is to "enhance intimate relationships and romantic life".

The designs are bold, the cuts are extremely close-fitting, and even the fabric has been specially treated to enhance its sensitivity to skin contact.

The corresponding women's styles are even more alluring, with most even lacking shoulder straps, as if they were tailor-made for certain nights.

She remembered that Jingmin had bought it for her many times back then, begging her countless times.

He said she would look great in that white spaghetti strap lace camisole, and with a friendly yet slightly frivolous smile, he said, "Wear it for me, okay?"

She always refused.

She thought it was too alluring. Jing Min's gaze towards her changed just from talking to her. If she really wore those pajamas, she was sure he would torment her so much the next day that she wouldn't be able to get out of bed.
