"Madam went out very early this morning."
After saying that, he didn't dare look at the person in front of him, and immediately tried to make amends.
"My wife is about to defend her thesis; she needs to meet with the professors to discuss things."
Jing Min remembered that this was indeed the purpose of his trip, and his expression softened.
"Did they say when they'd be back?"
Yan Zhou replied with difficulty, "No."
Silence.
Jing Min's face was pale from illness. He picked up his phone from the bedside table and dialed a number, but no one answered.
He frowned and took a deep breath.
"Is someone following you? You should call and ask."
Yan Zhou nodded, dialed Mingxiu's number, and put it on speakerphone.

Jing Min, with a cold face, threw back the covers and was about to get out of bed.

He was still very weak because he hadn't dared to take any medication and had a low-grade fever.
"Mr. Jing, Parker instructed you to rest quietly and avoid drafts, otherwise it will worsen your condition. If that happens, and there's no suitable medication available, the effects of the toxins will be dire."
Jing Min felt a wave of dizziness. After a moment, he gently pushed away the person next to him, walked slowly to the window, and looked towards the main entrance.
He could no longer even reach the main entrance downstairs; a sense of powerlessness urged Yan Zhou to ask.
"Are you back?"
