The quiet streets were filled with a tense and subtle atmosphere at night.
Yang Jinchu's car slowly came to a stop.
Chu Wuyang got out of the car from the other side, and Yang Jinchu opened the driver's seat door and drove her downstairs.
"Thank you for attending my graduation ceremony today. No need to see me off; I can go in by myself."
Chu Wuyang pointed in the direction of the stairwell
Yang Jinchu nodded.
"Today marks a new beginning for you..."
Hearing his tired, repetitive tone, Chu Wuyang knew he was about to start lecturing again, so she immediately interrupted him.
"Alright, I understand."
The atmosphere warmed up, and their familiar conversation felt like stepping back in time. They smiled at each other.
Yang Jinchu gazed silently at the person before him, then couldn't resist raising his hand to pat her head.
Just then, from the side, a blinding light shone directly on them.
Yang Jinchu instinctively raised her hand to shield her forehead, and the two of them simultaneously turned to the side, squinting their eyes as they looked towards the light source.
There was a black car parked there.
Jing Min sat in the back seat of the car, staring intently at the two people in front of him, a burning flame seemingly raging within him.
His facial muscles tensed, his expression ferocious, like an enraged beast about to break free of its cage.
In just a few seconds,
He abruptly pushed open the car door, got out, and casually slammed it shut.
A loud bang echoed through the night sky, and the vibrations made the car shake. Even the driver felt the vehicle tremble.
Chu Wuyang saw a familiar figure approaching them from afar, backlit.
His gaze was like a knife, piercing her; his entire being was shrouded in anger. She instinctively took a step back.
Upon seeing this, Yang Jinchu frowned deeply. He stepped forward, blocking Chu Wuyang's view and shielding her from Jing Min's terrifying gaze.
Jingmin approached and saw how intimate they were, which reminded him even more of the scene on the side of the road.
He, just as he is now, acts as a solid barrier, isolating himself from everyone else.
The anger in my heart was like a can of hot oil being poured on it, instantly making the fire burn even more fiercely.
Reason had been completely consumed by rage, and he threw a punch without hesitation.
Caught off guard by the sudden action, Yang Jinchu staggered back a few steps.
He reached up and lightly wiped the corner of his mouth; a trace of blood had already seeped out.
Chu Wuyang's eyes widened, and she quickly stepped forward to stop Jing Min, who was about to continue, and screamed.
"What are you doing? Are you crazy?"
Jing Min was completely irrational at this moment, his eyes bloodshot, and he shoved aside Chu Wuyang, who was blocking his way.
"Get away!"
He threw another punch at Yang Jinchu, and the two began to fight, neither willing to back down.
Jing Min's strength was terrifying; Chu Wuyang, who was pushed away, fell heavily to the ground.
"ah"
The pain made her gasp involuntarily; her palm slid across the rough ground, leaving a bright red mark.
Yang Jin turned his head upon hearing the sound, his expression changing drastically.
They also launched a fierce counterattack.
Chu Wuyang stared wide-eyed at the chaotic scene before her, her mind completely blank.
She had never seen this side of him before.
Jing Min exuded a murderous aura.
The fight between the two intensified, and Jing Min's recklessness put Yang Jinchu at a disadvantage, with obvious injuries already appearing on his face and body.
The driver also got out of the car, stunned, and didn't dare to go forward.
Chu Wuyang seemed to have just come to her senses and ran over to stop him.
"Jingmin, stop right now, let go!"
Hearing the commotion from a car nearby, Wen Ying hurriedly got out as well.
Terrified by what she saw, she covered her eyes and cried out.
"Stop fighting!"
No matter what they did, they couldn't pull the crazed person away; Chu Wuyang's helpless tears welled up in her eyes.
She glanced around, picked up a flowerpot, closed her eyes briefly, and smashed it at the violent attacker.
The flowerpot fell to the ground and shattered. Blood began to seep from Jingmin's neck and shoulders; the pain seemed to bring him a sliver of clarity.
He winced in pain, released his grip, and turned to look at Chu Wuyang, a flicker of disbelief in his eyes.
This was followed by even more intense retaliatory violence.
The air was thick with the stench of blood, mingled with Wen Ying's cries, creating utter chaos. Chu Wuyang's head was spinning, and she abruptly threw herself down in front of Yang Jinchu.
For a fleeting moment, the air seemed to freeze, utterly silent.
Jing Min's bruised fist stopped a few centimeters away from Chu Wuyang.
The expected pain didn't come. Chu Wuyang turned around in surprise and met Jing Min's gaze.
Jing Min's eyes gradually cleared, his stiff posture remaining unchanged.
Ha! The same old story repeats itself, but the roles are reversed. How laughable!
A sudden, piercing screech of brakes rang out, and Yan Zhou anxiously opened the car door and rushed over.
The sight before him made his heart pound.
He quickly helped Jing Min up, but it was difficult for him to do it alone. He then called over the bodyguards who had followed him and the driver who had been stunned.
Chu Wuyang also realized what was happening and hurriedly checked on Yang Jinchu's condition. He was already on the verge of death. Her hands were trembling as she dialed an ambulance.
Jing Min, who was also in bad shape, stopped in his tracks as Yan Zhou and the others helped him into the car. His hand gripped the car door, and a large patch of blood had stained his white shirt red on his back.
His cold gaze swept over the scene behind him, his voice as frosty as ice in the cold night.
"Bring her here!"
Yan Zhou, torn between two options, walked towards Chu Wuyang.
"Madam, please come back with us first! The ambulance will be here soon. This young lady can wait here."
Chu Wuyang's eyes were full of worry and anxiety. He glanced at Wen Ying, who was already somewhat at a loss, and was completely uneasy.
"I'll leave as soon as the ambulance arrives," the trembling voice said resolutely.
