Inside the private jet, the cabin is spacious and luxurious, with white clouds drifting lazily by outside the window.
Jing Min leaned back in his comfortable chair, his eyes closed as if he were dozing. His face appeared particularly stern in the soft light.
Chu Wuyang sat quietly beside the man, her expression changing several times, her gaze fixed on his face.
She looked at Jing Min's sharply defined features, her heart filled with complex emotions, her eyes thoughtful.
The slight turbulence of the plane brought Chu Wuyang's thoughts back to the previous two days, when Wen Ying reminded her about Jing Min's mental problems.
Although she was 100% certain that Jingmin was indeed ill, people are born with compassion, and a look of sorrow appeared on her face.
Perhaps sensing Chu Wuyang's intense gaze, the man frowned slightly and slowly opened his eyes.
The moment he opened his eyes, he saw Chu Wuyang's complicated expression, and a strange sense of irritation welled up in his heart.
The man's lips curled into a sarcastic smile as he spoke in an unfriendly tone:
"What's wrong? You've seemed so lost these past two days. Did someone say something bad about me the other day?"
Chu Wuyang was instantly brought back to reality by Jing Min's words. She was slightly taken aback and lowered her eyes.
After a moment of silence, when he looked up again, a deep, unreadable emotion lurked in his eyes.
Then a flash of anger crossed his eyes. "What nonsense are you spouting? Are you sick in the head?" Chu Wuyang shouted.
Jing Min chuckled, nodded earnestly, and calmly replied, "Yes, I'm sick."
After Jing Min finished speaking, he noticed Chu Wuyang's startled expression, as if his words had frightened her.
His eyes flickered slightly, and he said in a teasing tone...
"I am sick, and only you can cure me. If you are by my side, I will not have a relapse. If you behave well, I will not go crazy."
Upon hearing these words, Chu Wuyang felt as if a small pebble had been thrown into her heart, causing ripples to spread.
She lowered her eyes slightly, her long eyelashes trembling gently, as if trying to conceal the turmoil in her heart.
Her hands were unconsciously twisted together, revealing her inner turmoil.
A moment later, she slowly sat back down in her chair, turning her face slightly to the side, not wanting Jing Min to see her expression.
Jing Min looked at Chu Wuyang's actions and a hint of disappointment appeared in his eyes.
But he quickly returned to normal, and his refined demeanor gained a touch of gentleness.
Jing Min slowly approached Chu Wuyang, his movements elegant and restrained. His gaze was fixed on her as he spoke softly.
“He’s been very well-behaved these past few days, and he was also very well-behaved that day. He came out on time in 10 minutes, and I was very happy.”
His voice was deep and magnetic, as if carrying a reassuring power.
Chu Wuyang slightly raised her eyes, a complex emotion flashing in her clear eyes.
She looked at Jing Min's handsome face, a conflict flashing through her mind. She gently bit her lip and muttered to herself...
"If you are really sick, you should see a doctor. I am not a doctor."
Jing Min's lips curled up slightly, revealing a faint smile, as he emphasized...
"You're the doctor!"
Chu Wuyang turned her head away, not wanting to talk to him anymore; he hadn't been drinking and was just spouting nonsense.
Jing Min wasn't annoyed; he just looked at her quietly, his eyes full of doting affection.
"Look how easily I'm satisfied. As long as you're by my side, I'm content. Even if I were truly sick, I'd pretend to be a normal person for the rest of my life if you were with me."
Jing Min's tone carried a hint of emotion, as if he were expressing his deepest desire.
Hearing this, Chu Wuyang felt a mix of emotions.
She knew Jing Min couldn't read minds, and he couldn't possibly know that she had already made up her mind how to stay away from him, and that she already had a detailed plan to carry it out.
Of course, she couldn't tell anyone about this plan; Yang Jinchu's words that day implied that she should pretend not to know.
Now, Jingmin's words were full of admonition.
When she goes back this time, she can't act too strangely, or at least she can't show too much rejection towards him.
To prevent him from finding out what she was up to, she wanted to stop her in advance.
Little did she know that the more she acted this way, the more Jingmin realized something was wrong with her.
——
In the master bedroom of the manor, sunlight streamed through the gaps in the ornate curtains, illuminating the carved bed.
Chu Wuyang slowly woke up, but was startled by the noisy noise downstairs.
A moment later, she vaguely remembered that she had already returned to China, and the image of Jing Min wrapping her in a blanket and carrying her back last night flashed through her mind.
She quickly got up and changed into a simple yet elegant white silk dress, with a matching ribbon tied around her waist to accentuate her slender figure.
She casually tied her long hair up, with a few strands falling beside her cheeks, adding to her languid beauty.
Wearing a pair of white velvet slippers, every step seemed to carry an elegant melody.
A short while later, Chu Wuyang finished washing up and came downstairs.
Aunt Rong stood firmly at the top of the stairs, her back to the viewer, seemingly still arguing about something.
Downstairs, a large group of people were making a racket, like a flock of noisy crows.
Those old women had faces full of anger; you could tell from their expressions and actions that they were spewing vulgarities, even without hearing what they said.
She went downstairs, took a few steps, and stopped at the corner.
"Hmph! A servant raised by an ill-mannered person is ill-mannered too. What kind of wife sleeps so late and doesn't even know to pay her respects to the old lady and serve her breakfast? How dare you, an outsider, stop us here?"
An old woman with a face full of scars stood with her hands on her hips, spitting as she spoke.
"Exactly! Don't they know their place? They really think this Jing family is their own home. They won't move aside. If they offend the old lady, Mr. Jing might tear them apart."
Another old woman chimed in with a shrill voice.
Aunt Rong's face turned red with anger, but she still stood tall and retorted without backing down.
