The wind blowing into the master bedroom on the second floor still carried a chill at night.
Chu Wuyang walked over, closed the window, and drew the curtains, preparing to take a shower.
Stopped in the middle of the bedroom,
I didn't pay much attention yesterday, but now that I've looked closely, it's a minimalist style that suits that person's personality.
The main color scheme is gray and white, accented with a small amount of brown. The gray stone decoration on the walls, with its even lines, outlines a simple and beautiful aesthetic.
From her perspective as an artist, it was indeed the work of a master.
The bed linens are made of pure cotton in an elegant color, there's a soft wool rug, and a simple glass vase sits on the bedside table.
The vase contained a single, unopened white rose, complementing its surroundings.
Harmonious yet distinctive.
As for the painting on the wall, she recognized it as a masterpiece, its auction price likely to be no less than eight figures...
In the master bathroom, Chu Wuyang turned on the tap and splashed cold water on her face. Water sprayed everywhere, and the sound of running water could be heard in the quiet air.
"Splash!"
She could feel her heart beating very fast. Was it from nervousness?
She looked up at the water-soaked mirror, her face reflected in it, blurry and distorted. She closed her eyes slightly and asked herself a question in her heart.
"Have you decided whether to take the gamble...?"
Hesitation, lack of confidence, anxiety, fear
When she came out of the bathroom, Jingmin had already finished showering in another room.
Wearing black pajamas, she sat against the headboard, scrolling through her phone. She had short, neat hair, a warm expression, and two buttons on her collar were undone, revealing the shape of her collarbone.
The V-shaped area looked particularly sexy and alluring under the light. Chu Wuyang was stunned, naturally looked away, hesitated for a moment at the head of the bed, and then said:
"I'm going to sleep in the guest room."
He then walked towards the door.
The couple lived apart after their marriage, even though they never explicitly slept in separate rooms.
But they definitely never slept in the same bed until dawn.
It's obvious that he's always lived in the master bedroom, and it's like I've suddenly barged in and disturbed him.
Jingmin put down his phone, called out to her, and asked in return,
"stop,"
"Are you a guest, staying in a guest room? It's so late at night, you don't want the whole Jing family to know that my husband and I are having marital problems, do you?"
Chu Wuyang had to admit that Jing Min truly understood her.
With just a simple sentence, he easily controlled her.
Before she can get her shares back, she still needs to maintain her status as Mrs. Jing.
Chu Wuyang withdrew her hand from the doorknob.
"What I told Lin Yuebai during the day was true. If you're willing to return my KOALA shares, I'm willing to divorce you."
After waiting a while, Jing Min didn't speak, but just looked at her indifferently, as if waiting for her to finish speaking.
Chu Wuyang added:
“Jingmin, although KOALA was founded by my father, the largest initial investment came from my maternal grandparents’ family; it’s an enterprise belonging to my maternal clan.”
"Lin Wei's involvement not only killed my mother, but it's also possible that her traitorous actions implicated the Yang family, my maternal grandparents' family, who had always been tied to KOALA."
"Therefore they went bankrupt, and later, due to various reasons from their creditors, they met with misfortune. As Lin Wei's daughter, how could Lin Yuebai still have the face to take KOALA's shares? With that kidney of hers?"
"And you. What right do you have to protect the murderer who killed my grandmother? You're all in cahoots!"
She grew increasingly angry as she spoke, and her voice unconsciously rose.
Jingmin was already slightly angry because of her mention of "divorce," and then, upon hearing her questioning...
In the end, he suppressed his anger.
The atmosphere in the bedroom was unnerving; the woman's eyes were cold and sharp, while the man's gaze was deep and unfathomable...
"Divorce is impossible,"
The man rejected the idea without hesitation.
"The reason why your maternal grandparents' family was murdered has not yet been investigated, so don't jump to conclusions now..."
"As for why I have the nerve to take the shares? Don't forget that you were the one who initiated the marriage. Your father's will clearly states that the shares can only be inherited after you get married, and your husband is also eligible to inherit them."
“Now that your maternal grandparents’ family is gone, and Kaola has merged with the Chu family, and you haven’t graduated yet, it’s perfectly reasonable and legal for me, as your husband, to manage things on your behalf. As for the shares Lin Yuebai held, she’s now publicly recognized by the Chu family, and your grandfather gave you equal shares to show fairness…”
At this point, Jing Min suddenly seemed to remember something, and a sarcastic smile appeared on his lips.
"Are you filing for divorce for the sake of the shares or for someone else?"
others?
Chu Wuyang immediately thought of Zhiyang Jinchu.
She frowned, her emotions barely contained.
"Why did you bring up Brother Jin Chu when we were talking about shares?"
Beneath Jing Min's calm face, only he knew the surging anger he was suppressing.
"Brother Jin Chu," he called her so affectionately, but Yang Jin Chu was far away in Australia.
He won't let go; they're destined to be strangers for life.
Did I mention Yang Jinchu's name? Why are you so agitated?
Chu Wuyang sensed the sarcasm in the voice and gave a blank, snorting laugh.
The conversation was going nowhere, and she pushed open the door to leave, when suddenly a large hand pressed down on hers from behind. Jing Min hugged her tightly from behind.
The more you care about someone, the more you know how easily you can hurt them.
Jing Min, realizing that their relationship had finally eased somewhat, began to regain his rationality and softened his tone.
"I apologize, I misspoke. You can come back and go to sleep now."
Chu Wuyang knew that the sincerity of this so-called apology was probably less than one percent, but she wasn't one to hold grudges, and besides, she herself intended to repair their relationship.
