Chapter 48 Obtained

The next day, the first rays of sunlight quietly shone down.

Chu Wuyang slowly opened her eyes, and what greeted her was a magnificent sunrise bursting forth from the sea.

The sea breeze gently caressed the curtains, bringing with it the scent of the ocean.

She gently pried open the large hands that were tightly hugging her waist, and involuntarily sat up.

Looking back at the man still sleeping beside her, she felt a complex mix of emotions.

The bedroom and the north building had the exact same layout, yet she found it terrifying, as if it were a custom-made cage.

Especially the wooden house in the garden,

He took her to see the paintings she had done before, back when sweet words just flowed from her lips.

That painting was an unattainable dream tailor-made for him:

A wooden cabin by the sea, surrounded by flowers, where only two people live happily.

However, now he has not only achieved it,

He even held her tenderly, his expression filled with longing, reminiscing about the past and dreaming about the future.

In that instant, she even saw a clear madness in Jing Min's eyes.

Is it a lie that is automatically ignored, or a hell hidden beneath a beautiful dream?

How could anyone not be terrified?

That night, Jingmin clung to her and cuddled with her, but she used her injuries as an excuse to escape. The man didn't force her, but unilaterally declared that it was over and they would sleep in separate rooms.

Whether it was that recollection of her past that stirred up her guilt, or her obsessive madness that led her to temporarily compromise, she ultimately acquiesced.

She turned and looked out the large French windows.

A gentle sea breeze caressed the sunflowers, which swayed slightly, creating a scene that was both refreshing and full of life.

Isn't it beautiful?

She was quietly admiring the beautiful scenery when a sudden sound startled her, causing her to scream.

The man chuckled and moved closer to her, giving her a light peck, his tone affectionate.

"Honey, why are you so timid?"

Seeing that she was still staring straight at him, he smiled happily, pinched her cheek, and couldn't resist kissing her.

He then embraced her from behind, and together they gazed at the beautiful scenery outside the window.

His ambiguous sigh rang in my ears.

"If only she were really that timid, she could hide behind me and rely on me completely, and wouldn't always dare to do things that make me worry."

After he finished speaking meaningfully, he lowered his head, kissed the top of her head, and whispered something.

What do you say, okay?

The warm breath from her voice filled his neck, and Chu Wuyang suddenly shivered for no apparent reason.

"Jingmin, does KOALA have what you want?"

Otherwise, why not let go?

She turned her head to look at him from inside his arms.

His gaze was also fixed on her.

"have"

What is it?

His voice was low and slightly hoarse, carrying a hint of determination as he uttered a single word.

"you"

Chu Wuyang turned her head away, looking down at the large hand around her waist.

Isn't it enough that they've already imprisoned her in cages?

She didn't specifically want anything, meaning she had no more bargaining chips to exchange.

She said in a disappointed tone

"Isn't this enough to get it?"

Jingmin's attention was entirely on her, and upon hearing her words, he immediately replied.

"Of course not. True possession means that you belong to me completely, body and soul."

"Then you'll give KOALA back to me?"

Jing Min fell silent, pausing for a few seconds as if he had been seriously considering his answer before replying.

"Won't"

"Why? Do you...do you hate me?" Chu Wuyang asked, her voice trembling with emotion.

Jingmin pulled the person in front of him back a little, tilted his head, and asked with a smile.

Why should I hate you?

Chu Wuyang lowered her head and said frankly

"Didn't you have a good time abroad during those three years?"

All she could think of were the three years he was exiled because of her.

This was the first time she had asked about what had happened in those three years. For the past two years, he had longed for her attention, even just a few words of concern. Now that she had brought it up, he didn't feel like talking about it.

After waiting for a while, Jing Min didn't say anything more, but just tightened his grip on her waist.

"Hasn't Yunyang always been with you? If you like her and can't let her go, then go find her!"

So that's what she really wanted to say.

Jing Min instantly released his arms from her waist, and even raised his voice several decibels.

"You're really generous, pushing your husband to other people time and time again."

Chu Wuyang closed her eyes, shifting the blame eastward.

"Yunyang said you two developed feelings for each other during your three years abroad, and that's why I should let go."

Jingmin smiled, feeling relieved instead.

"Is Mrs. Jing complaining? You believe her just because she says so? If you were that easily convinced, I'd have an easier time. Besides, you're not usually that obedient."

He told her to let go, but she wouldn't. He only felt at ease because he knew her so well.

"She's been with you for three years. Are you willing to let her be gossiped about and have no status or recognition?"

In the end, isn't it just about pushing him onto someone else?

He narrowed his eyes slightly, a hint of displeasure flashing within them.

"She's just an ex-girlfriend, don't wrong me. I haven't had any other women besides you. But I did lend a hand out of old feelings. What kind of judgment is this?"

His frank tone left Chu Wuyang speechless. However, without the confidence he provided, Yun Yang, given his status, wouldn't have dared to provoke him so directly.

Could it be that the man in front of me is such a good actor? But his personality probably wouldn't allow it.

Jing Min looked at the silent person before him, a composed smile playing on his lips.

Let's see what other tricks she can come up with. He's confident he can thwart her. Things are different now; he's in control now.

Seeing that this didn't work, Chu Wuyang asked directly...

"Then what will it take for you to return it to me?"

Jingmin pursed her lips and shook her head, meaning that nothing would work.

Chu Wuyang was at her wits' end with him, and in her frustration, tears welled up in her eyes.

Seeing this, Jingmin's tone softened, and he stepped forward to hug her, his fingertips rubbing her cheek.

"Alright, let's not talk about this anymore. Like I said, divorce is impossible, and KOALA won't be yours."

Chu Wuyang choked back tears as she retorted in his arms.

"On what grounds?"

Jing Min gently brushed the stray hairs from her temples, his gaze tender, and kissed the corner of her lips, declaring domineeringly...

"Because I'm the one who calls the shots."

The two bodies were very close, but at that moment their hearts were also unusually far apart.

The two of them nestled together silently.

Until the housekeeper knocked on the door to remind them to eat breakfast,

As Jing Min released the person in his arms and stood up with his back turned, the tenderness in his eyes vanished instantly.
