Chapter 64 Coercion

The night was as black as ink, and flashes of lightning streaked across the sky, occasionally illuminating patches of darkness before vanishing in an instant.

Chu Wuyang turned over uneasily, her delicate brows furrowed slightly. In the darkness, a strange feeling suddenly welled up in her heart, as if a chilling gaze was being cast upon her.

"Smack!"

Another bolt of lightning tore through the night, and in an instant, the fleeting light illuminated a face.

Chu Wuyang sat up abruptly, her heart pounding involuntarily. When she saw that the person sitting motionless at the head of her bed like a statue was Jing Min,

Her heart calmed down a little.

Jing Min's mocking and indifferent voice came through.

"What's wrong? You've done too many bad things, are you scared?"

Chu Wuyang had just recovered from her panic, her voice still trembling.

What are you saying?

Jing Min grabbed Chu Wuyang's leg and pulled her forward with terrifying force. His hands were icy cold, and he sensed Chu Wuyang's submission.

A slight, slanted smile curved his lips. As he drew closer, Chu Wuyang could see him clearly in the faint starlight outside.

The man's face was full of hostility; she hadn't forgotten how he had gotten angry and started fighting.

At this moment, she understood that he was dangerous and that she couldn't provoke him; fear spread through her heart.

Jing Min's icy hands caressed Chu Wuyang's trembling body, like a venomous snake slithering across it.

He drew closer, his soft breath sounding like a venomous tongue.

"If you had been this obedient from the beginning, none of this would have happened?"

Chu Wuyang abruptly slapped away the restless hand, unable to bear it any longer, and began to scream hoarsely.

"You're a pervert! What grudge does Yang Jinchu have against you that you would treat him like this?"

Jing Min grabbed the person in front of him and covered Chu Wuyang's mouth tightly with his large hand.

Despite her desperate struggles, he tightened his grip, like a giant python coiling around its prey.

Chu Wuyang frantically pounded on the person in front of her, shouting incoherently:

"You're crazy! Let go of me!"

"Shh! Be good, don't let me hear you say that unlucky name again."

As the feeling of suffocation washed over him, Chu Wuyang thought for a fleeting moment that this was for the best. He was the one who had caused Yang Jinchu to end up in the hospital, his death shrouded in mystery.

She deserved to die. She should give up struggling and let Jing Min smother her to death.

Her hands hanging limply made Jing Min instantly understand her intentions. He released her, his eyes filled with a maddening jealousy.

The voice carried a threatening tone emanating from gritted teeth.

"Believe it or not, if you die first, I'll make that person pay with their life."

Then the tone shifted.

"Oh, I forgot, isn't this what you've been longing for most? Let him go down first, and you stay up here and live to see him."

He then took out his phone and made a call.

Tears welled up in Chu Wuyang's eyes. She rushed forward to snatch the phone, shouting in despair.

"You can't do this, by what right?"

Jing Min, being tall, easily dodged Chu Wuyang's lunge.

He looked down at Chu Wuyang, who was sprawled on the ground in a disheveled state.

He squatted down and pinched her chin.

"Why should I? He's about to steal my woman, why can't I do the same? Do you think I'm a coward?!"

Chu Wuyang shook her head, her eyes brimming with tears.

"No, you've misunderstood. No, Yang Jinchu has a girlfriend."

She paused, choking back a sob, and looked into Jing Min's increasingly cold and lifeless eyes.

She tried desperately to explain, but her sentences started to become incoherent.

"Wen Ying, yes, that's Wen Ying. You see her? She's the young lady standing next to Yang Jinchu. She's Yang Jinchu's girlfriend."

They have a very good relationship. This time, because I'm graduating, Wen Ying also happens to be at this school; she's studying psychology.

Afraid that Jingmin wouldn't believe her, she quickened her pace to explain.

"You can check, yes, it's very easy to find out. Yang Jinchu came to see Wen Ying, and it was an accident that he ran into me, so we ate together. Yes, the three of us ate together."

Jingmin's eyes remained fixed on her, as if he still didn't believe her and was trying to find a flaw in her lie in her eyes.

Chu Wuyang held her breath and stammered.

"I don't like him, I don't like him."

Jing Min looked at her blatant attempt to cover up her embarrassment and smiled sarcastically.

He shoved the person in front of him aside and dialed a phone.

The phone rang for only one second.

Chu Wuyang's eyes widened in horror. At this moment, she no longer cared whether Jing Min had the ability.

Even though Yang Jinchu has an extraordinary background and the Wen family to rely on, this is still overseas.

However, the entourage Jing Min displayed downstairs at the apartment building today, and the strength she witnessed on the island, far surpassed her still unknown understanding of him.

I absolutely cannot gamble on this.

Perhaps with just a word from him, Yang Jinchu could have someone immediately remove the oxygen tube.

Without thinking too much, she lunged forward and hugged Jingmin.

The phone fell to the ground.

The call was connected, the person inside said respectfully.

"Mr. Jing, what are your instructions?"

Jing Min didn't push away the person who lunged at him; instead, just as she was about to snatch the phone, he immediately grabbed her.

"Is he dead?" The tone was icy.

Chu Wuyang slowly raised her head to look at Jing Min, unable to believe how he could say such a thing so casually.

It's as if they treat human life like dirt.

The person on the phone answered in the same calm, emotionless tone.

"No, the patient's condition is stable and they have been transferred back to a regular ward."

Jing Min lowered his head and whispered a sarcastic remark.

"Relieved? You're really lucky to be alive!"

He then continued to give instructions.

"Then let's go... um!"

Before Jing Min could finish speaking, Chu Wuyang suddenly wrapped her arms around his shoulders and kissed him, silencing his unspoken words.

Jingmin realized what was happening and responded even more strongly.
