Chapter 5 Rant about the Big Brother



"Comrade Lu, are you alright? Should you go to the hospital for a check-up?"

Gu Mingyue was genuinely worried about injuring the person.

In her heart, Lu Lin was as fragile as a doll, the kind that would get hurt at the slightest touch.

Lu Lin shook his head, a hint of fatigue in his eyes. "I'm fine. Just be more careful next time and don't be so reckless."

He felt that with Gu Mingyue's appearance, the future might be very uncertain.

Lu Wanwan, who had been watching the drama unfold, finally had a chance to chime in.

"Big brother, who is this?"

"She...she's family..."

"Hello Wanwan, I am your older brother's fiancée."

Lu Lin: "...A relative."

Two voices rang out simultaneously.

Lu Wanwan stared wide-eyed, looking at this and then at that.

Hearing Gu Mingyue's words, he coughed twice heavily, "Don't listen to her, I didn't agree."

Gu Mingyue crossed her arms and said, "Grandma said your opinion doesn't matter."

She acted as if she had someone backing her up and wasn't afraid of anything, which only gave Lu Lin more of a headache.

What happened to Grandma?

I clearly agreed to listen to him, so why did he change his mind?

Lu Wanwan's eyes lit up with joy. She stepped forward, grabbed Gu Mingyue's hand, and called out affectionately, "Sister-in-law!"

Lu Lin spat out the tea he had just taken a sip of, coughing until his face and neck were red and swollen.

"Cough cough cough!"

Gu Mingyue took out a handkerchief she always carried and helped him wipe the wet areas.

"Brother, you're really something. You're like a little kid, always getting choked up."

Lu Wanwan criticized her older brother without holding back.
