Miss you

Miss you

It was getting dark now.

The orange-yellow sunset light shines from the west, spreading over the sea and the beach.

Xia Tangyue followed Wen Zheng. He seemed to be very familiar with the environment of this small island, and soon brought her to a high hillside. From here, the afterglow was like a burning charcoal that was about to go out, simmering the clouds into molten gold and pouring into the sparkling waves of the sea.

"It's so beautiful." She said emotionally.

The moist and warm sea breeze swept across Xia Tangyue's eyelashes. She looked at the man beside her. The sunset dyed his black hair yellow. His tall nose reflected the afterglow of the setting sun, casting a deep shadow on his side face. Under his slightly drooping eyelashes, his eyes were as calm as the sea, but the moment his eyes met hers, a barely perceptible ripple appeared.

"You seem to be familiar with this area."

Why is it different from what Zhuang Chen said?

"I like to come here when I'm unhappy." Wen Zheng said. He moved to the side so that Xia Tangyue could have a better view of the sunset.

"The island is located in a remote area. No one knows about it except Zhuang Chen and me." Wen Zheng sat down on the reef with a relaxed attitude.

"Then how did you find this place?" Xia Tangyue was a little tired after standing for so long. He also found a rock to sit down, holding his chin with his hands and looking at him.

Wen Zheng was thinking about something. After a long while, he slowly spoke, "When I was a kid, I failed an exam and got second place in the class. I was depressed and wandered around and found this place."

Xia Tangyue chuckled: "Does being second place bother you so much?"

As expected, top students are different. When she was in school, her grades were always average and she had never been a top student. It was difficult for her to empathize with this kind of emotion.

"It's not a matter of second place." Wen Zheng's eyes were still looking at the sea, his fingers gently stroking the lines on the reef.

"I found the man's test paper in the teacher's office. His solution to the last 20-point question was almost exactly the same as mine, except for the different answers."

"So, the other party cheated?"

"Heh..." Wen Zheng curled his lips slightly, his smile not reaching his eyes: "His test paper was 'specially handled' because his father just donated a laboratory building to the school."

He stood up and looked towards the setting sun: "That day on the island, I figured out one thing - there is no fair competition in this world. Either you control the rules, or you are trampled by the rules."

Xia Tangyue listened silently, "What happened next?"

"Then the top student transferred to another school. It was said that he accidentally broke his right hand while walking down the stairs."

Xia Tangyue unconsciously crossed his hands and touched his arms, feeling that this story was a little weird.

As night fell, the last ray of sunlight was completely blocked by clouds.

Wen Zheng frowned and looked up at the sky, then said to Xia Tangyue, "It's getting ready to rain, let's go."

"Ah?" Xia Tangyue followed his movements in confusion, looking up at the sky at the same time, unable to figure out what was going on. Unexpectedly, just after she got down the hillside and before she had time to reach the beach, the rain poured down, soaking her hair in an instant.

She raised her arms to shield her head from the rain and followed Wen Zheng into a rock formation.

It looked like a naturally formed rock wall, and the sunken area was barely big enough for two people to stand. Xia Tangyue leaned her back against the rock wall, and the cold rain from the mountains swept in diagonally, wetting the ends of her drooping hair.

Wen Zheng stood in front of her. Due to the small space, he could only stretch out his hands to support her on both sides. This posture was like being held in his arms, and all he could smell was the faint scent of cedar on his body.

Xia Tangyue raised his eyes. The rain had left dark marks on Wen Zheng's shirt, and the raindrops were sliding down his jawline.

She tried to move in a little further and said, "Why don't you come in a little closer? There's still room."

"It's okay." Wen Zheng's warm breath brushed across the top of her head: "It's all damp moss further in. You'll be uncomfortable staying there."

"well……"

Xia Tangyue hung his head. He had originally wanted to repay the favor, but he didn't expect the weather to be so bad that his trip to the island was ruined.

She said to Wen Zheng: "Next time you come to Beijing, I will treat you to a good time again!"

The weather at the seaside is unpredictable, and the heavy rain stopped after more than ten minutes.

After coming out of the stone wall, Xia Tangyue was sweating from the stuffiness. The refreshing sea breeze blew across her hair on her cheeks. She took a deep breath and felt refreshed.

Unlike her, Wen Zheng had most of his shirt wet in the heavy rain just now.

Xia Tangyue felt bad and thought that he had to go back quickly to let Wen Zheng change his clothes. He called the contact person to pick them up quickly, but the other party said that they had to wait a little longer.

She hung up the phone in frustration. If she kept putting it off like this, she would have to spend the night on this uninhabited island!

"It's just a little rain, it's not a big deal." Wen Zheng comforted her and moved two beach chairs from the speedboat and set them up on the beach, facing the sea.

The light beam of the lighthouse in the distance rotates regularly, guiding the direction of ships on the sea and adding a sense of tranquility to the island.

Wen Zheng sat in the chair, looking relaxed and comfortable, as if he was not worried that he would be stranded on a desert island tonight.

Xia Tangyue looked at the dark sea gloomily.

Suddenly, the originally calm sea surface began to flash blue light as if it was cast by magic. Blue spots appeared on the sea surface, and as the waves rose and fell, they danced on the sea surface like blue elves, appearing and disappearing from time to time.

Xia Tangyue had seen this kind of scene before, it was blue tears.

However, the blue tears phenomenon she saw that day was not as beautiful as this time.

Now, the waves rolling in front of her eyes had blue circles that were brighter and larger in range than before. The waves were flashing blue light in the night sky, like blooming blue fireworks, beautiful but short-lived, disappearing into the darkness in an instant, leaving only a faint blue halo.

She ran towards the waves, wanting to touch the mysterious blue. The waves hit the beach and retreated, leaving patches of blue light behind. She turned around and wanted to call Wen Zheng to join her, but found that the camera in his hand was pointed at her.

Wen Zheng walked towards her with his phone in hand, his eyes full of smiles: "It looks good, so I took a picture of it."

He didn't shy away from it and handed her his phone directly for her to check.

Xia Tangyue flipped through it, but there was nothing there. Apart from the photo of her gazing into the distance on the shore, the rest were pictures of cars and some stock market trend charts.

In the photo, she is standing on the edge of the wave, the sea breeze lifting her hair and skirt, behind her is the gradient blue sea, and her back forms a perfect diagonal with the lighthouse in the distance.

"Good composition." She cleared her throat and met Wen Zheng's profound eyes.

An indescribable atmosphere instantly surrounded them, like an invisible flame suddenly ignited in the void.

Xia Tangyue heard the sound of his own violent heartbeat mixed with the sound of waves crashing against the shore, which hurt his eardrums.

Wen Zheng smiled softly, "As long as you like it."

He took the phone from her hand, and his calloused fingertips gently rubbed her palm, bringing a thin layer of crispness.

Xia Tangyue felt an inexplicable soreness in her throat, and her face seemed to be burning. Brilliant blue waves rolled behind Wen Zheng, illuminating the outline of his face, and his eyelashes cast a butterfly-like shadow under his eyes, and that shadow was spreading across her hot cheek inch by inch as he lowered his eyes.

In an instant, my heart was clamoring to be expressed out loud.

She opened her mouth, looked into Wen Zheng's eyes, and said, "Actually, I..."
