Miss you

Miss you

"Not interested, please move aside." Xia Tangyue said coldly.

The tattooed man moved forward again, not giving up: "Don't be so formal..."

"Can't you understand what I'm saying?" Xia Tangyue suddenly raised her voice, attracting the attention of several lifeguards nearby. She deliberately said in a voice that everyone around could hear: "If you harass us again, I will call the police."

The tattooed man's face suddenly turned ugly, and he took two steps back angrily: "Tsk, why are you pretending to be so noble..." He glared at her unwillingly before leaving.

After the man walked away, Xi Na complained speechlessly: "Where did this energetic young man come from? I can't stand it..."

Xi Na paused in the middle of her words, and Xia Tangyue followed her gaze. Wen Zheng, dressed casually, was standing not far away.

It was obvious that he saw everything that had just happened.

Wen Zheng stood there with one hand in his pocket, holding two glasses of iced coconut water with water droplets in his other hand. The blue light reflected by the waves shone from behind him, casting a shadow on his tall figure, making it difficult to see his expression at the moment.

Xia Tangyue's heart suddenly skipped a beat.

——If the tattooed man had continued to harass them, would Wen Zheng have taken action?

"What a coincidence, are you here to catch seafood too?" she said.

Wen Zheng's brows relaxed, and he handed the coconut water to them. He pointed to the wooden shed across the street and said, "We are having a barbecue over there. Do you want to join us?"

On the beach, several young men were setting up a barbecue grill around a bonfire. The jumping flames dyed Xia Tangyue's eyes red, and she withdrew her gaze.

"Okay, then we won't be polite." Xia Tangyue smiled: "It just so happens that we haven't had dinner yet."

"Okay. I'll go and wait for you guys."

"good."

The soft sandy beach glowed softly under the silver light, as if covered with stars. The waves gently lapped the shore, making bursts of low moans, and the tall figure of the man gradually moved away until he disappeared in the crowd.

Xi Na poked Xia Tangyue's waist mischievously: "Oh my, some people were as fierce as a little leopard just now, why are they turning into quails now?"

Xia Tangyue licked his dry lips, avoided Xi Na's teasing gaze, unscrewed the lid and drank a sip of cold coconut water: "Let's go, let's go get the photos."

Xina smiled and didn't continue teasing her.

After taking the photos, the two went to the locker room to change out of their swimsuits. When they arrived at the woodshed, the barbecue was almost done, with bursts of burnt aroma.

There were about seven or eight people present. Xia Tangyue only knew Wen Zheng and Zhuang Chen. She recognized one of them as the owner of Sunny Day Milk Tea. She didn't know the rest.

Wen Zheng brought two beach chairs and called them, "Come and sit down."

As soon as they sat down, Zhuang Chen handed them two skewers of grilled beef and put the rest of the grilled skewers on the plates in front of them.

"Today's oysters and scallops are freshly opened. Come and try them."

"Thanks."

Xia Tangyue sat next to Wen Zheng, the sea breeze carrying the aroma of charcoal blowing through her hair. She took a small bite of the beef skewer, but her eyes unconsciously glanced at the man beside her - he was putting the ingredients on the fire and applying the sauce expertly.

"There are too many tourists on the beach here, so it's not very fun. If you want to have fun, I recommend you go to Moon Bay. The water there is clearer and there are basically no tourists, so it's suitable for catching fish."

"Is that so? Let's try it next time."

Xi Na took the beer and poured it into Xia Tangyue's cup. A girl stood up, raised her cup, and said with a smile: "Come on, let's toast to Zhuang Chen for getting admitted to Beijing University of Finance and Economics!"

"Thank you everyone!" Zhuang Chen drank the beer in his glass.

Xia Tangyue also toasted.

It turned out to be to celebrate Zhuang Chen's admission to university...

"Is it the University of Finance and Economics in Beijing?" she asked.

Zhuang Chen answered while eating a skewers: "Yes."

Beijing University of Finance and Economics is one of the top universities in the country, and those who can get admitted here are basically the top scorers in their respective cities.

Xia Tangyue gave him a thumbs up and praised, "That's amazing, you're a top student."

Zhuang Chen gulped down a sip of wine and swallowed. "Compared to my brother, this is child's play. My brother started skipping grades in junior high school, and studied for a bachelor's, master's, and doctorate degree. Later, he went to Harvard to study for a double degree. He is the smartest person I have ever met."

Xia Tangyue secretly exclaimed in his heart, and couldn't help but look at Wen Zheng who was drinking.

Skip a grade and study for a bachelor's, master's and doctorate degree? Double degree from Harvard?

She knew all these characters, so why did the combination look so strange and shocking?

She secretly admired him.

Everyone started playing drinking games. Xia Tangyue lost three rounds and drank almost a dozen beers. He felt a little exhausted and got up to go to the bathroom.

The beach toilets are installed at the entrance to the parking lot.

She came out to relieve herself and turned on the faucet of the footbath at the door to wash the sand off her feet. A dazzling car light swept past her right rear, then stopped and went out after a long while.

She wrinkled her nose, squinted her eyes, and looked in the direction of the light.

Wen Zheng was standing in front of the car, and several men were talking to him in a respectful manner. Wen Zheng had his back to her, and although she couldn't see his expression, judging from their body movements, it seemed that the conversation was not going well.

Xia Tangyue turned off the faucet and heard Wen Zheng reply coldly, which seemed to mean don't come again?

She straightened up and walked towards him with unsteady steps.

The alcohol was getting to her head, and dizziness covered her forehead. She looked blurry-eyed, trying to distinguish the road under her feet. For some reason, the people who had just surrounded Wen Zheng dispersed again. She stood behind him and poked his back.

"W-what are you doing?"

"Be careful." Wen Zheng turned around and helped Xia Tangyue, whose steps were unsteady, up, letting her lean on his arm.

"Are you drunk?" Wen Zheng asked softly with a smile on his lips.

"I'm not drunk." Xia Tangyue stood up straighter and blinked seriously: "I still recognize who you are, you're not drunk."

There was a hint of stubbornness and a hint of naivety in her words. Wen Zheng chuckled, and her laughter was particularly pleasant in the silent night.

"Can you still walk?"

"Yes, of course. Don't underestimate me. I'll show you how to walk."

Xia Tangyue shook off Wen Zheng's supporting hand and walked forward on her own. She staggered half a step and the soft sand instantly buried her ankles. She was about to fall, but Wen Zheng reached out and pulled her back.

The two of them stood very close, so close that Xia Tangyue could smell the light pine scent on him, and so close that she could feel the slight trembling of the muscles under his chest.

"Tangtang, Tangtang?"

Xina's voice came closer and closer. Xia Tangyue raised her eyes sleepily, and the man let go of the hand that was supporting her.

“Nana…”

"Why did you take so long to go to the bathroom? I was scared and thought you were drunk." Xina ran over hurriedly, greeted Wen Zheng, and dragged Xia Tang away.

"Not drunk." Xia Tang gathered her long hair that was messed up by the sea breeze.

"You still say you're not drunk." Xi Na pinched her cheek hard and pushed her onto the beach chair. When she turned around and saw that Wen Zheng hadn't followed her, she whispered into her ear, "Do you know that you were lying in someone's arms just now?"

"ah?"

The pain on his face instantly dissipated some of the drunkenness. Xia Tangyue raised his face and exclaimed, rubbing the place where Xi Na pinched him.

"You, you." Xi Na's eyes were full of amusement: "You said you were not interested in her, but what happened? You went into her arms after three glasses of wine?"

Xia Tangyue swallowed, picked up the Coke and took a big sip, then he calmed down and said uncertainly: "Did I really... hug him?"

"Well, actually..." Xina touched her nose: "I didn't see who was hugging who, but I saw you leaning on his arms, against his chest, and it looked so intimate."

Not far away, Wen Zheng was bending over to pick up trash on the beach. In the moonlight, the outline of his back muscles was clearly visible through his black T-shirt, and his posture was proud.

Xia Tangyue's cheeks flushed and several fragments flashed through her mind.

It seemed that he had indeed leaned in Wen Zheng's arms.

"Tangtang!" Xina suddenly pulled her arm.

“It’s blue tears!”[1]

Xia Tangyue opened his eyes and looked. In the darkness, the quiet sea water was gently surging. The crystal clear blue light rose and fell with the waves. The faint blue light spots appeared and disappeared from time to time, like a dream.

Xina: "It's so beautiful, no wonder so many people come here to travel."

The waves swept up again and again, soaking Xia Tangyue's ankles. She did not hide, but quietly looked at the sea in the night. The sea breeze blew gently, and the coolness came over her. The stars and the blue tears on the sea surface reflected each other, as if all the blue light in the universe gathered here, making her feel relaxed and intoxicated.

Before I knew it, it was twelve o'clock in the morning.

Xi Na and Xia Tangyue returned to the wooden shed hand in hand, and saw Zhuang Chen drunk on the side, Wen Zheng cleaning up the mess on the table alone, and the others were also drunk and could not help.

"Let me help you." Xia Tangyue said proactively.

"No need, sit down and rest." Wen Zheng pushed her hand away and glanced at the sleepy faces of the two little girls.

"I'll take you back first." He picked up the car keys on the table and walked ahead.

After playing for a whole day, Xia Tangyue was already exhausted. He followed Wen Zheng to the parking lot and got into his car.

On the way, she and Xina dozed off while sitting together with their heads leaning against each other. They didn't even know they had arrived at their destination. It was Wen Zheng who woke them up and helped them out of the car.

"Go to bed early." He rolled down the car window and said to them.

Xia Tangyue nodded dazedly, and after returning to the room, he fell drunk on the sofa. Xi Na, who was lying on the ground beside him, muttered, "I didn't expect that running a B&B would be so profitable these days. You can even drive a Panamera."

"I like Panamera, too." Xi Na squinted her eyes and poked Xia Tangyue's face: "My dear, why don't you find a rich man to marry, and then cheat him out of his money to buy me one."

"good."

Xia Tangyue could no longer hear what Xi Na said, she just answered along with her words, then closed her eyes and fell asleep.
