Miss you
Xia Tangyue woke up slowly.
The French window was closed tightly, and the burning pain on her face disappeared without a trace. When she touched it, it was still a little sticky. Wen Zheng was always considerate in his work, and he probably applied ointment to her.
I fell asleep in a daze last night and didn’t even know when my brother left. His scent was still lingering in the room, gentle yet powerful.
Xia Tangyue half-sat up with the help of his arms, and there was a knock on the door.
She turned her head to look in the direction of the door, and heard Xia Xiucheng's awkward voice outside: "Uh... hurry up and have breakfast."
The last time Xia Xiucheng called her for breakfast was when she was in junior high school. Ten years later, this sudden concern was more sobering than an alarm clock. She stared at the shadow of her father pacing back and forth under the crack of the door and fell into a long silence.
After washing up and going downstairs, the breakfast on the table was all her favorites, even mango sticky rice, this kind of abrupt sweet Thai dessert. Needless to say, it was specially made to cater to her taste.
Xia Xiucheng looked towards her, then looked away awkwardly, silently picking up the bowl at her seat and scooping porridge for her.
Zhuang Ziwen said, "Tangtang, are you awake? Come and have a taste. Your dad specially cooked century egg and lean meat porridge this morning. There are also freshly baked Portuguese egg tarts and Yangcheng Lake hairy crabs that have just come off the market. Even the pickles for the porridge were ordered from the time-honored shop you often went to when you were a child. They were delivered early in the morning."
Xia Tangyue sat down without saying a word. Zhuang Ziwen then started chatting with Xia Xiucheng about other things and tacitly did not mention anything about what happened last night.
But not mentioning it doesn’t mean it didn’t happen.
Although the actual pain has passed, the hurt I suffered at that moment remains in my heart. Like the ice pattern that accidentally cracks when firing porcelain, the surface is covered by glaze, but inside is a fault that can never be healed.
She picked up the spoon and ate it bite by bite. When she opened her mouth, she couldn't help but pull the sides of her face. The pain made her gasp and even her appetite died.
After taking a few bites to barely fill her stomach, she stood up and said, "I'm full." Then she went to the entrance to change her shoes and left home.
Xia Tangyue took out a mask from the car and put it on to cover his haggard face. He drove to the police station to report the case and only returned to the art museum after collecting evidence.
She wrote the entire plan by herself, from the proposal to the completion, and the files were encrypted layer by layer, so the contents would not be leaked. But now there are many black technology software on the market, and it is uncertain which one can accurately open her files. In other words, not only Gu Jiaping, but everyone in the Paper Art Museum is suspected of leaking secrets.
Xia Tangyue inspected the museum, observing everyone's behavior and expressions calmly. Everyone's behavior was normal, nothing worth noting. Among all the people in the museum, the one who was most likely to have access to the documents was her assistant Xiaoyu.
Xiaoyu was a fresh graduate that year, and she had been with her since she entered society. From a personal perspective, she was unwilling to doubt Xiaoyu. But you can't judge a person by his appearance, so you can't make preconceived assumptions.
Xia Tangyue behaved very normally. She was neither anxious nor sad. Everyone thought she was just doing her daily job.
With nothing to show for it, she came to the law firm.
Cha Chunfeng has been the museum’s legal advisor. He is in his early thirties, graduated from a top law school, holds a doctorate in law, and has worked for many years in a prestigious law firm in the industry, handling many complex and difficult art legal cases.
Xia Tangyue told her everything about the leak.
Cha Chunfeng quickly wrote down the doubts.
"So, your biggest suspects now are two people, one is your assistant Xiaoyu, and the other is the investment manager Gu Jiaping."
Xia Tangyue nodded: "I personally think that Gu Jiaping is more suspicious, because I have a grudge against him, and it is reasonable for him to leak the secret to retaliate against me."
After hearing this, Cha Chunfeng shook his head and said, "These are all speculations. You don't have any evidence. Especially since Gu Jiaping is the investment manager of your art museum, there are too many things involved. You need to be cautious with everything from the investor."
"I understood, so I kept quiet."
Cha Chunfeng smiled and expressed his approval of her approach.
"What do you need me to do?" Cha Chunfeng typed into the computer and looked at Xia Tangyue. "For example, a written letter to Mulin Art Museum?"
As she spoke, she sighed slightly.
"The other party came prepared. The similar visual design and promotional copywriting can be said to be homogenization, not plagiarism. Without evidence, it is difficult to win this war. We must find the person who leaked the information. This is the most important thing."
This is a very realistic problem. Cha Chunfeng is pragmatic and does not give Xia Tangyue empty comfort on key issues. Moreover, as the financial sponsor, any risk game of Furen Group may be the fuse for withdrawal of investment, unless they do not cooperate with them in the future.
In Cha Chunfeng's opinion, it is impossible to find out the truth and maintain good relations with Fu Ren Group at the same time, and he can only choose one of the two.
Xia Tangyue sat on the sofa without saying a word. The administrator of the law firm brought her a cup of hot coffee. She had a headache, so she took a sip and let out a breath in pain.
Cha Chunfeng smiled: "What's wrong? Cheer up. Your face looks a little puffy, so I made you some black coffee."
Xia Tangyue touched his face, lowered his eyes, and pursed his lips. Cha Chunfeng said, "The worst result is just withdrawal of investment. You can think about it first. If Furen Group is gone, who can take over and make a response plan."
Xia Tangyue took out her cell phone. She didn't dare to call herself an artist, but when it came to work social events, the secret codes in the clinking of glasses were harder to decipher than abstract oil paintings. In the capital market, her connections were as thin as a piece of rice paper, like a fish swimming alone, unable to even tell the direction of the buoy. Who could she turn to for help?
Suddenly, a humble voice sounded in my mind: "It's just a small business."
Zhu International Art Group, the bottom row of small words reads "Director Unit of the Global Top Antique Dealers Alliance".
Xia Tangyue called Zhu Shang and asked him directly if he was interested in becoming an investor in Zhijian. Unexpectedly, he agreed very readily and said that he would convene the company's investment department to evaluate it in the next two days and give her a reply.
She instinctively felt that there should be nothing wrong. After all, Zhijian had created a phenomenal craze in the industry with the "Dream of the Butterfly" art exhibition. It not only won many art and design awards, but also broke records for the number of visitors per day during the exhibition. Zhu Shang should have no reason to refuse.
Xia Tangyue stayed in the law firm until the end of working time.
Cha Chunfeng was very busy and had been meeting with clients the whole afternoon. When she came back, Xia Tangyue told her his thoughts.
After hearing this, Cha Chunfeng was stunned for a moment, raised his eyes in admiration, and then reminded: "Be careful when you enter the game."
If there was anyone trustworthy among all the people in the art museum, it could only be Ahua. He was the person Wen Zheng arranged to be by her side. She believed in Wen Zheng and his judgment of people.
There has always been a competition between Zhijian Art Museum and Mulin Art Museum. No matter whether Xia Tangyue secured investment from Furen Group or Xia Tangyue exposed their vicious stalking, Mulin Art Museum hated her to the core and would recognize her even if she turned into ashes.
Therefore, Xia Tangyue arranged for Ahua to disguise himself as an ordinary college student and sneak into the Mulin Art Museum to check the specific situation.
For two days in a row, Ah Hua disguised himself as an art student from a university club who came to collect money. He went around Mulin and recorded everything with a hidden camera.
Xia Tangyue carefully watched the video content and found that Mu Lin had indeed arranged the content and scenes according to her plan, but there were omissions in many places. Upon closer inspection, she found that she had neglected to remember these things when she wrote the plan.
A plan came to her mind and she quickly wrote it down on the computer.
After doing all this, the cotton-like stuffiness pressing on my heart finally melted away a little and turned into air that I could breathe smoothly.
That day, she got off work early and went home, wanting to have a good rest before calling her brother.
Unexpectedly, she met her mentor, Professor Shen Yanqiu from the Academy of Fine Arts, as soon as she entered the house.
Chen Yanqiu is a well-known contemporary ink painter in China. His works have set sales records at international auction houses such as Sotheby's and Christie's many times. He and Xia Xiucheng were high school classmates. Because of this relationship, Xia Tangyue was able to study brush and ink techniques with Chen Yanqiu early on and entered the painting world. It can be said that Chen Yanqiu is one of the most important people in her life.
