Chapter 222 Noble Lady from a Clan VS Humble Remnant Slave 24

"Don't you have hands? Can't you eat by yourself? You're not a three-year-old who needs to be fed." Jiang Zhiyi didn't want to pay any attention to him and just thought he was going crazy.

Jiang Qi glanced at her indifferently and said, "Why would I do it myself if I have slaves? What am I keeping you for?"

"..." Jiang Zhiyi just wanted to curse.

She felt that his words sounded familiar; she seemed to have said the exact same thing to him before.

"If you don't want to eat, then don't. Go to the dark dungeon now," Jiang Qi warned.

Jiang Zhiyi poked the bottom of the bowl hard with her chopsticks.

It's so annoying.

Jiang Qi is a complete bastard.

"Open your mouth!" She roughly picked up a piece of food with her chopsticks and shoved it directly into his mouth, without caring about anything else.

Jiang Qi glanced at the pair of chopsticks in front of her that she had just used, but said nothing.

Jiang Zhiyi fed him all the dishes she didn't like, and then comforted herself: It's okay, just think of it as feeding a dog.

After taking a few bites, Jiang Qi said he wanted to drink soup.

Jiang Zhiyi picked up the bowl and was about to force-feed him.

Jiang Qi frowned and said, "How am I supposed to drink if you feed me spoonful by spoonful?"

"Why have you become so fussy? Can't you drink from a bowl? You used to drink my leftovers, why didn't you say so then?"

Jiang Zhiyi angrily served him soup and fed him with a small spoon. However, she soon lost all patience.

When has she ever served anyone like this before? This is the limit she can go on now.

"Okay, I know you're full. Now I'm going to start eating, so don't bother me." Jiang Zhiyi ignored him.

Jiang Qi didn't bother her any further, but just sat quietly to the side and watched her.

Whether it was because she ate too fast or because she was distracted and didn't pay attention, Jiang Zhiyi choked and couldn't stop coughing.

She reached out to get some water, but Jiang Qi had already handed her a cup of tea.

It took Jiang Zhiyi quite a while to recover.

She didn't say anything, casually picked up two pieces of food with her chopsticks and put them in her bowl, preparing to continue eating.

For some reason, she felt really frustrated today and felt a little sad.

Jiang Zhiyi glanced at Jiang Qi again and found him staring straight at her, seemingly looking at something.

She felt even more agitated.

Jiang Qi must be secretly gloating right now. Seeing himself in such a sorry state, and being bullied so badly by him, he is finally happy.

A sudden surge of inexplicable anger welled up inside me.

Jiang Zhiyi slammed down her chopsticks and knocked over her bowl, scattering food all over the floor. "I'm not eating!"

After saying that, she stood up and walked outside.

Jiang Qi stepped forward and grabbed her, preventing her from leaving. "What's wrong with you now?"

They were fine just a moment ago, and they've turned on each other so quickly.

It's been years since I last saw her, and her temper has only gotten worse; she's really been spoiled.

Jiang Zhiyi went directly to hit him, venting her dissatisfaction and grievances.

Jiang Qi stood still for the time being, letting her do as she pleased.

Jiang Zhiyi: "I won't let you go. I'll make my father kill you, I'll make him kill you..."

Upon hearing this, Jiang Qi's expression turned ugly, as if something sore spot had been touched.

He scoffed.

"Kill me? You want me dead that badly?" He restrained her hands and pulled her into his arms. "I'll do whatever you want. I'm perfectly fine."

Jiang Zhiyi looked at him expressionlessly.

Several tears hung on her face, and her eyelashes were wet; she looked incredibly pitiful.

Jiang Qi reached out to touch her face, and a crystal tear fell right on his fingertip.

He roughly shoved his fingertip into her mouth, forcing the tear inside, and asked, "Does it taste bitter?"

When he was at the bottom of the cliff, he shed tears for her. The tears were bitter and astringent, and he also bled a lot.

In her eyes, he was nothing but a worthless life, a worthless life that could be easily discarded and killed.

"What are you doing!" she exclaimed angrily.

The next moment, Jiang Qi kissed her.

He pressed her down, forcing her to take several steps back until she finally had to lean against the wall behind her.

It seemed as if they were venting long-suppressed emotions.

Jiang Zhiyi couldn't break free at all, and her hands were also trapped above her head.

She felt like she couldn't breathe at all.

for a long time.

Jiang Qi grabbed her shoulders, straightened her up, and then glared at her fiercely.

He said, word by word, "Listen carefully, you better stay put. If you cause any more trouble, I'll turn you into a puppet."

He led her to sit down at the table, then ordered the guards standing outside the hall to come in and tidy up, and then ordered them to bring over some more food.

After all that commotion, Jiang Zhiyi's anger had subsided, so she stopped arguing with him.

She sat there quietly eating.

After the meal, the two stared at each other, neither saying a word.

After a long while, Jiang Qi stood up and said, "You stay here and don't even think about running around."

He went straight out of the palace.

After he left, Jiang Zhiyi wandered around the hall several times. She slipped to the door again, but found it was surrounded by guards, and even had several protective barriers set up.

There was no way she could escape.

Jiang Zhiyi sighed, and could only sit there in a daze. She dared not touch anything in the hall now, as it was quite dangerous.

It gradually got dark.

Jiang Zhiyi was a little tired, so she slumped onto the table and fell into a deep sleep. Her breathing gradually became steady, as if she were immersed in a sweet dream.

Not long after, Jiang Qi pushed open the door and entered. He walked silently to Jiang Zhiyi's side.

She didn't react and continued to sleep soundly.

Jiang Qi sat to the side, watching her sleeping face.

The situation is somewhat different from what he had anticipated. He originally wanted to keep her in the dark dungeon, torturing and frightening her until she cried and begged for mercy.

She's just too fragile to handle any more stress...

If he really did that, she would probably lose her life in less than three days, and then how would he get revenge on her?

Oh well, it's all the same no matter where you are.

After a while, Jiang Qi simply picked the person up horizontally and carried them back to the bedroom.

He instructed the maids to come in and help Jiang Zhiyi wash up, and then changed her into a clean set of clothes.

Afterwards, he lay down beside her fully clothed and reached out to extinguish the candles burning in the bedchamber.

The bright moonlight streamed in, and all around was quiet except for the sound of her soft breathing.

Jiang Qi could even feel a little warmth coming from her body.

He didn't mean anything by it; he just wanted to keep an eye on her so she wouldn't sneak away at night.

He thought to himself that this.
