Chapter 32 Spell-Making Prodigy Girl VS. The Demon Lord Who Shares Her Bed 5

Qi Suihuan, who came over to rest, only saw that Jiang Zhiyi had taken over the entire large bed, leaving no room for her.

"Get out of my way." Qi Suihuan had an urge to throw the person away, but she didn't dare to touch her at the moment.

Jiang Zhiyi tactfully moved some space around for him, then rolled over and tucked herself into a corner.

"My Lord Demon Lord, this jade bed is too cold. I wanted to warm it up for you first."

She shamelessly started spouting nonsense.

"Shut up, or I'll tie you up."

Qi Suihuan closed his eyes, preparing to sleep, and reached out to extinguish the flames in the corner of the bedroom.

All around was darkness, and Jiang Zhiyi lay there quietly, no longer making a sound.

The entire bedchamber was eerily quiet.

Jiang Zhiyi couldn't even hear Qi Suihuan's breathing.

Despite the extensive renovations to the entire palace, it couldn't conceal the chilling atmosphere it exuded, enveloped in a gloomy ambiance.

It's really hard to fall asleep in such a situation.

And most importantly, she's a light sleeper.

She should have moved her own little bed over as well. After tidying up for ages, she still couldn't fall asleep on this bed.

My arms felt empty, and I wasn't used to it.

She didn't bring her favorite pillow because she felt it was a bit too private and didn't want others to see it.

Now I'm starting to regret it, no, I'm extremely regretful!

Many times, after she rolled over in what she thought was a careful but actually quite noisy manner, Qi Suihuan would speak up: "What are you trying to do by rolling around like that?"

"I can't sleep," Jiang Zhiyi replied weakly, feeling quite guilty at the moment.

"I'll knock you out." This wasn't a joke; Qi Suihuan raised his hand, ready to strike the back of her neck.

"No!" Jiang Zhiyi immediately stopped him.

She snuggled into his arms and hugged him tightly.

"It's so cold here, let's sleep together."

Worried that he might refuse, she added another sentence.

“This will be more effective and will prolong the time that the spell can be relieved during the day.”

Qi Suihuan paused for a moment, then acquiesced to her suggestion.

He couldn't resist her approach.

The spell was incredibly powerful, almost rendering him defenseless. Whenever she came close, he couldn't bear to let her leave, as if he were addicted.

This was not a good sign, and Qi Suihuan hated this feeling of being out of control.

He tried his best to suppress the bloodthirsty impulse in his heart. He had become accustomed to the loneliness of the demon realm and did not need anyone else by his side, especially someone who had ulterior motives and had plotted against him.

After much fuss, she finally had a lifelike body pillow. Although it was hard and not very comfortable to hug, Jiang Zhiyi finally felt sleepy.

Her breathing gradually became even and calm, and before long, she fell into a deep sleep.

Qi Suihuan, however, remained awake, pondering how to extract the method to break the curse from her, then kill her and eliminate this trouble once and for all.

He didn't believe the curse was truly unbreakable.

When I woke up early in the morning, Qi Suihuan was nowhere to be seen.

Jiang Zhiyi had the witch style her hair in a common style in the demon realm, and then changed her into the most fashionable dress in the demon realm.

Now she looks more like a mysterious and alluring demonic cultivator.

"Where is he?" The question was directed at Qi Suihuan's whereabouts.

"The Demon Lord has gone to the council hall."

Jiang Zhiyi wanted to go into the council hall to find him, but was stopped by the demon general at the door.

“Miss Jiang, no one is allowed to enter without His Majesty’s permission.”

"I have something to tell him."

“Miss Jiang can wait until the Demon Lord is finished with his work before coming to see him.”

Duan Shiyi immediately stepped forward and blocked her with his knife.

Jiang Zhiyi recognized him; he and Duan Shier often followed Qi Suihuan.

"Eleventh Protector, what do you mean by this?" Jiang Zhiyi timidly raised her hand and glanced at his sharp broadsword.

“Miss Jiang, swords and blades are merciless, please return.” Duan Shiyi said arrogantly.

"Fine, if he doesn't want to see me, then forget it."

Jiang Zhiyi spoke very loudly.

"That's how men are. Last night he was holding me, calling me his sweetheart and darling, but today he's turned his back on me. I can't even see him if I just want to. Humph!"

After saying that, Jiang Zhiyi used a handkerchief to wipe away non-existent tears from the corners of her eyes.

"Waaaah...bad guy."

Everyone outside the hall silently watched her pitiful appearance, as if she had been abandoned by a scumbag.

Duan Shiyi gripped his long sword tightly and quietly asked Duan Shier beside him, "She's crying, what should we do?"

Duan Shier glanced at her sad face a few times and hesitated before asking, "Why don't you try to comfort her?"

He remembered that it seemed to be written like that in the storybooks.

"You idiot, I knew I couldn't rely on you. She's the Venerable One's woman, are you trying to kill me?" Duan Shiyi cursed.

"But you did make her cry."

Duan Shier spoke expressionlessly, stating this fact.

“I really do have something to discuss with the Demon Lord. He said last night that I could come to see him. Eleventh Protector, could you please go in and inform him for me?” Jiang Zhiyi asked.

“Just tell him that, and he’ll definitely see me.”

Jiang Zhiyi whispered a few more words to him.

After hesitating for a moment, Duan Shiyi finally gave in.

"Your Majesty, Miss Jiang is waiting outside the palace. She says she has important business to discuss with you."

Qi Suihuan frowned, but before he could say anything, Duan Shiyi quickly added, "Miss Jiang said that if you don't see her, you'll never see your little darling again, hmph~"

Duan Shiyi imitated Jiang Zhiyi's coquettish tone in a serious manner.

Qi Suihuan's face darkened several shades: "Let her in, and you get out of here."

Duan Shiyi walked out, still wondering why the Demon Lord had suddenly become angry with him.

What are you doing here?

Qi Suihuan was holding a scroll in her hand, and she didn't put it down when she saw her come in.

"I want to see you." Jiang Zhiyi walked up to him, hugged his waist, and rested her head on his chest.

"I don't know anyone here, and you're the only person I know. If I don't come to you, who else can I come to?" There was a hint of complaint in his voice.

"Your protectors and demon generals are both very fierce; they almost attacked me with their swords just now."

She turned her head and forgot about Duan Shiyi's help in reporting it, and instead started complaining about him.

Unfamiliar with the place and its people?

Yesterday, when she was ordering people from the Demon Palace around to do this and that for her, she didn't seem unfamiliar with anything.

Anyone who didn't know better would think this Demon Palace was her home, as she acted as if everything she did was perfectly normal.

"Take a look at this."

Qi Suihuan handed the scroll in her hand to Jiang Zhiyi, who reached out and took it.

She casually flipped through a few pages, most of which were intelligence reports about the Immortal Sect in recent days. Further on, there were reports about the investigation into the Jiang family and herself.

Qi Suihuan sat down and observed her expression.

Jiang Zhiyi carefully flipped through the pages about her several times. She turned her head and saw the man's appraising gaze, so she went over and sat on his lap.

"This is wrong." She leaned lazily against him.

"Where?" Qi Suihuan didn't push her away, wanting to hear what she was going to say.
