Chapter 43 Spell-Making Prodigy Girl VS. The Demon Lord Who Shares Her Bed 16
Master, watch out for the ground!
The sharp-eyed Tuantuan spotted those suspicious, malevolent energies.
Jiang Zhiyi glanced around at the small, enclosed space and realized that she probably couldn't escape for the time being. She hid in a nearby hollow of broken stone and set up a barrier for herself.
She had a sudden inspiration.
[At Nianfo Cliff, the spirit has been possessed by an evil spirit; come quickly.]
Soon, everyone in the entire Immortal Sect saw the line of text flashing in the air.
"Look, what's that?"
"Oh no! Something's happened to Immortal Lingzhen!"
"Quickly go and inform the sect leader and elders. You few come with me; let's go take a look!"
"Okay, hurry up and catch up."
She sent another message to Qi Suihuan.
"Save me, Nianfo Cliff."
She knew that Qi Suihuan would also sense something.
Upon receiving the message, Qi Suihuan's face turned terrifyingly grim, and his entire body emanated overwhelming demonic energy.
He immediately set off for Nianfo Cliff.
...
A chilling aura swept over her, and a large hole was smashed in the stone wall beside her. Flying shards of stone cut many wounds on Jiang Zhiyi's body.
"So that's where it was hidden."
A hoarse, unpleasant voice rang out.
She looked up and saw Lingzhen, whose face was contorted with rage, walking towards her.
"Since you've managed to find this place, then you can't be spared. Give me your life!"
Lingzhen opened his bloodshot, cloudy eyes, his face covered with black lines, and his hands were covered in blood and filth, as if he wanted to step forward and bite her to pieces.
At this moment, a sharp sword aura broke through the seal with the force of thunder, and the scattered demonic energy transformed into sharp blades that rushed straight towards Lingzhen.
Lingzhen was sent flying by the sword energy, crashing directly into a stone wall not far away. He spat out a mouthful of blood and collapsed on the ground, barely alive.
"Qi Suihuan!"
She called out to him, her voice trembling slightly.
Qi Suihuan spotted the person lying in the ruins at a glance.
Her hair was disheveled, her clothes were stained with blood, and her body was covered with numerous tiny wounds, most of which were still oozing blood.
She looked flustered and terrified; it was clear she was quite frightened.
I only didn't keep an eye on her for a day, and she ended up looking like this.
He tried his best to suppress his anxiety and stepped forward to hug her tightly.
"You're finally here, waaaaah..."
Jiang Zhiyi burst into tears, and she hugged him tightly, as if she were a drowning person grasping at a straw.
"I'm so scared..." she cried, her voice choked with sobs, her face streaked with tears.
"Don't be afraid, it's alright now." Qi Suihuan hugged the person in her arms tighter and coaxed them softly.
"Another one? Then you'll all die together." Lingzhen staggered to her feet. A stench-filled black mist surged in, enveloping the two of them.
"Hold me tight," he reminded me.
The demonic energy transformed into blades that tore several slits in the black mist, and where the sword light flashed, there were fine cracks.
Jiang Zhiyi could even hear cracking and tearing sounds coming from all around her.
These black energies all seemed to have an inseparable connection with Lingzhen. Every time they broke through a gap, his terrifying groans and roars could be heard.
This evil magic is truly terrifying, as it has transformed a living person into this monstrous creature.
"Sect Master!" The immortal sect members who rushed over were shocked by the unbelievable scene before them.
Their most revered and worshipped immortal, Lingzhen, now resembled a bloodthirsty monster, utterly hideous.
"He's gone mad! He killed all those cultivators!" Jiang Zhiyi shouted at them.
Seeing this, Lingzhen tried to escape, but found that she couldn't break free no matter what she did.
"Form ranks and vanquish the evil," Bu Jingrong commanded calmly.
After a moment's hesitation, everyone followed his instructions.
Golden lights sealed him off, and Lingzhen, unable to withstand them, collapsed to the ground. Black energy emanated from his entire body, and he seemed to have been drained of his life force, barely clinging to life.
"I'll take him back and imprison him first. I'll ask the sect leader to come out of seclusion later, and then we'll decide on this matter. The rest of you stay here to treat him." Bu Jingrong turned and left.
They noticed something amiss when they arrived; there were many more layers hidden below, filled with cultivators, and even more rotting, stinking corpses.
It was horrific and unbearable to witness.
Among the few who are still alive, none of them are vehemently condemning Lingzhen's evil deeds.
Those people's words were like sharp knives piercing the hearts of every member of their sect.
This is an utter disgrace! Today, the entire Immortal Sect's face has been trampled on.
"Is Young Master Jiang alright?" Yue Zhiyao asked as she approached the two people standing nearby.
"It's alright, I'll take... my junior sister back first."
"Alright, I'll have my disciples send you medicine to treat your injuries. We are very sorry for what happened today. Our sect will come to apologize to you both another day."
Qi Suihuan didn't linger any longer and carried her away.
...
Back in the room.
Qi Suihuan removed her tattered outer robe, revealing many small, bleeding wounds on her body that needed medicine.
He frowned at the wounds, a hint of heartache flashing in his eyes. He reached out to unbutton her inner garment, but she grabbed his hand, preventing him from doing so.
"I'll do it myself."
"Some of the wounds are out of your reach." He completely ignored her protests; it wouldn't hurt to let him see them. Many of the wounds were on her back and shoulders, making it inconvenient to apply medicine.
"Oh..." She had no choice but to give in.
Qi Suihuan applied the medicine to her with a serious expression, as if she were handling a precious treasure, afraid that she might accidentally break it if she used the slightest force.
An ambiguous atmosphere filled the room.
"Does it hurt?" he asked softly.
