Chapter 541 Spoiled and Willful Wife VS Cowardly and Fearful Husband 33
Two days later.
Junyu did not intend to stay in Haiwan Town for too long. He instructed his men to prepare some dry food and supplies for the journey before continuing on to Haixian County.
The group left in the morning.
Before dawn, Jiang Zhiyi was pulled out of bed by Jun Yu.
She kept her eyes closed and motionless as the maid dressed and washed her.
Afterwards, seeing that she was too sleepy to keep her eyes open, Junyu had no choice but to carry her into the carriage.
But this commotion made it hard for Jiang Zhiyi to sleep. She was both tired and angry, and couldn't help but want to complain.
"Why so early?" She pouted and hit him a few times, clearly venting her anger. "You're just deliberately tormenting me so I won't get any rest!"
Junyu hugged the person and coaxed, "Be good, don't be angry."
He gently rubbed her furrowed brows, his voice becoming even more tender.
"There have been many merchant ships coming and going in Hai County recently. If we leave early, we can avoid the afternoon heat and enter the city before the gates close, so we won't have to stand in the wind outside."
Jiang Zhiyi snorted and buried her head in his chest again, still looking like she wouldn't let it go.
Just then, the sound of a guard gently knocking on the carriage came from outside. "Young master, madam, fresh milk has been prepared."
Because they set off early, there wasn't enough time to prepare fresh milk, but Jiang Zhiyi was picky and only liked the freshest milk.
Junyu then instructed his guards to stay behind for the time being, and to catch up with them on horseback once he had retrieved the fresh milk delivered by the farmers.
Jun Yu helped Jiang Zhiyi sit up and then took the bottle and jar handed to him by the guard.
He poured the milk into a bowl, and the milky white milk swayed in the bowl, emitting a faint milky aroma.
He scooped up a spoonful, blew on it before holding it to Jiang Zhiyi's lips, "Drink some to fill your stomach first, we still have a long walk ahead."
Jiang Zhiyi was still somewhat angry, but upon smelling the familiar milky aroma and hearing her stomach growl twice at the opportune moment, she reluctantly opened her mouth.
The warm milk slid down my throat, carrying a hint of sweetness, instantly dispelling some of the morning drowsiness.
She was taking small sips when she suddenly saw Junyu take advantage of the moment she opened her mouth, lower her head and bite the edge of the spoon, swallowing the remaining half spoonful of milk.
"You!" Jiang Zhiyi's eyes widened, and she slapped his hand hard. "This is my milk, how dare you steal it? Are you a three-year-old? I've never seen such a bad person!"
Junyu smiled, his eyes crinkling, and gently pinched her cheek.
He had only taken half a mouthful of her milk, but in her eyes he was like a heinous criminal.
If she were to become a judge, most people in the world would likely end up in prison.
His tone was somewhat mocking.
“My wife is drinking it so happily, so naturally I want to try some too. Besides, in those novels you usually like to read, there are quite a few plots about husbands and sons fighting over milk... If my wife can accept those things, then what I’m doing is nothing at all.”
"You're talking nonsense!" Jiang Zhiyi's cheeks instantly turned red, and she reached out to cover his mouth. "Those...those were all made up. Besides...who said I accepted them? I didn't!"
Junyu chuckled softly.
Seeing that she couldn't cover his mouth, Jiang Zhiyi covered her own face, trying to hide herself.
It's outrageous that he would bring up something like this!
The more shy she became, the more amusing Junyu found it, and he took the opportunity to grab her wrist and pull her into his arms.
Their figures overlapped, and the atmosphere became awkward.
Junyu lowered his head and kissed her lips, which still smelled of milk.
Jiang Zhiyi's body stiffened; she couldn't push him away or avoid him, and could only let him bully her.
She hummed a few times, clearly unhappy.
The carriage rumbled forward, the only sounds inside being the intertwined breaths and soft kisses of the two lovers.
Once Junyu had "eaten" enough, he released her and continued to feed her milk.
Jiang Zhiyi was too lazy to argue with him for the time being, and planned to find a way to deal with him after she finished eating.
She drank more than half a bowl of milk, then shook her head, her voice soft and sweet, and continued to order Junyu to feed her fish cakes, "I don't want to drink anymore, you feed me fish cakes instead."
These fish cakes are a specialty of the bay town. The outer skin is fried until golden and crispy, and the inside is full of sweet and fresh fish meat.
She's eaten a lot these past few days, and her eyes crinkle with delight every time she eats.
Junyu then had someone buy more so she could eat them on the way.
Following her instructions, Junyu took a warm fish cake from the food box, held it in a clean handkerchief, and brought it to her lips.
But as soon as Jiang Zhiyi leaned closer to smell it, a strange fishy smell suddenly surged into her nose, and the fresh and fragrant aroma that she used to love became somewhat pungent.
She frowned, forced herself to take a small bite, chewed it a couple of times, but her stomach suddenly churned, and her original appetite vanished instantly.
"Ugh..." Her expression changed slightly. She quickly turned her head away, pushed Jun Yu's hand away, covered her mouth, and bent over to dry heave.
The fish cakes that she had previously found delicious now seemed to have become a trigger for vomiting, leaving her with no energy to even look at them.
A tightness was rising in my chest, and the milk I had just drunk was almost surging up.
