Chapter 102 Keen Insight

He skillfully peeled the crayfish and put the tender crayfish in his mouth, saying, "Mom's cooking is delicious."

Gu Anran accepted his praise and put a few more pieces of chicken on his plate. He ate with gusto, his mouth greasy, while Ye Lichuan put peeled shrimp into her bowl.

"Don't just focus on the little brat, you've only just recovered, eat more to replenish your nutrition." After saying that, he picked up some more food for Gu Anran.

Looking at the food piling up in her bowl, Gu Anran could only bury her head and eat. The three chatted, and eventually the conversation turned to the company. She briefly explained the company's future development direction, and Ye Lichuan gave her a lot of advice.

After finishing her meal, she was so bloated she couldn't get up. The father and son cleaned up the table on their own, and then the three of them snuggled on the sofa to watch TV. At nine o'clock sharp, Gu Anran was forced to go upstairs to sleep.

I thought she wouldn't be able to sleep after sleeping so much in the hospital, but she fell asleep within minutes of lying down and smelling the sun-dried scent.

She was woken up by the alarm clock in the morning. She quickly turned it off and looked at the person next to her. Ye Lichuan was still asleep. His messy hair and long eyelashes made him look like a boy next door. She moved quietly and closed the door.

She went to the kitchen to make breakfast, fried two eggs, toasted some bread, and poured two glasses of milk. She then casually ate a piece of toast and went to the dressing room to change her clothes.

She left a note and rushed to the company. Her secretary was already waiting for her. "Mr. Li will be here in half an hour. We only made an appointment with Mr. Li this morning."

She took the documents and quickly reviewed them. Half an hour later, she met with General Manager Li in the meeting room. "Is General Manager Gu feeling better?"

"Thank you for your concern, Mr. Li. I'm feeling much better." The two exchanged some more polite words.

Next, they started discussing the project. The Li family was a major supplier of raw materials, basically monopolizing the raw material sector. Gu Anran was naturally very happy that they were willing to cooperate, but they had conditions.

His wife's birthday was approaching, and he hoped that Gu Anran could design a set of jewelry as a birthday gift for her. She immediately agreed, and President Li was also very straightforward, signing the contract without discussing the price.

"It's been a pleasure working with you, Mr. Gu. I'll have my secretary send over the information about my wife."

"Don't worry, Mr. Li, I will definitely give you a perfect design." After seeing Mr. Li off, she began to look up relevant information.

Time was of the essence, but if Mrs. Li was satisfied with this design, she believed that subsequent collaborations would be much easier.

She was busy at the company until the afternoon when Secretary Li finally arrived. Gu Anran took the documents from her and thanked her.

"Mr. Gu, you're too kind. Is it convenient for me to take a look around here?" The secretary asked somewhat awkwardly, but still forced herself to.

"Of course, I'll have my secretary take you on a tour." Although surprised that she would make this request, she agreed.

Half an hour later, the two returned. Secretary Li came to say goodbye, but his eyes kept glancing at the line drawings next to her computer, as if he wanted to say something but couldn't.

Noticing her gaze, Gu Anran asked, "What's wrong?"

"Although this draft is very well drawn, I believe that if this part is changed, the design concept will be highlighted even more."

Upon hearing this, Gu Anran took out the draft and examined it carefully. This was a work submitted by the company's senior designer. She had only glanced at it briefly. After Gu Anran's suggestion, she added two steps to it, and the whole design became more dynamic.

She looked at Secretary Li with surprise, "Have you studied design?"

"I only know the basics. I really like design, but I gave it up and chose management because of some things." She smiled politely at her and left.

Gu Anran looked at the design draft in her hand, her heart pounding. She could see the problems with just a few glances. If she were to be trained, she would definitely achieve great things in the future. It was a pity that she was just President Li's secretary.

As a business partner, she couldn't possibly poach Li's employees, but she also felt regretful about missing out on this talent. After some thought, she asked her secretary to call a meeting.

"Does anyone know what our company's top job requirement is for designers?"

A murmur arose from below, and the HR manager replied, "First and foremost, they must be Adobe-certified fashion designers."

Gu Anran nodded and continued, "During the collaboration discussion just now, I discovered a very talented designer, but she studied management."

As soon as she finished speaking, many managers looked at her with doubt. She continued, "Our company is currently short of people. Based on what just happened, I think the company should recruit talents from all walks of life and not limit itself to clothing design."

"If we are stuck with talent because of fashion design, it is a loss for the company. But if we can find excellent designers from other industries, that is our asset."

After she finished speaking, she asked everyone to discuss for a while, and then vote by raising their hands. The managers gathered in groups of two or three to start discussing. Although Gu Anran could make the decision on her own, she still wanted to hear everyone's opinions.

“I think this is a breakthrough. If we can find excellent designers, that would be great. If not, we can go back to the previous hiring requirements.”

"Indeed, this does not result in any loss for the company."

"I admire her ability to quickly grasp the key point from such a situation. It seems we didn't follow the wrong person." After the HR manager finished speaking, many people echoed her sentiments.

They all felt that Gu Anran had good vision and insight, and after some discussion, almost no one objected.

After a ten-minute discussion, everyone raised their hands to vote. Gu Anran looked nervously at everyone present. Seeing that everyone agreed to the decision, she breathed a sigh of relief.

"Since everyone agrees, the HR department should implement it as soon as possible. Meeting adjourned."

After the meeting, she called the HR manager aside, and the two of them revised the relevant recruitment matters. The highly efficient HR department released new recruitment advertisements the next day.

She had to design jewelry and recruit staff. By the time Ye Lichuan came to pick her up that evening, it was almost seven o'clock. She told Ye Lichuan about her decision, and seeing how hard she was working, he had other plans in mind.

The advertisement had only been running for an afternoon when a number of people submitted their resumes, which of course caused some controversy, with a few people saying it was unfair to designers.

The company responded, stating that those who are hired are selected based on their abilities, and that they will not overlook anyone with talent.

Busy with selecting items, Gu Anran didn't notice Ye Lichuan making a phone call in the study.

"How are the arrangements going?"

"Everything has been arranged, and they are all very talented people in design."

"Yes, we can't let her find out."
